MCCANNS LOSE AGAIN IN PORTUGAL

From reading this post from Jo Morais blog it would seem the McCanns got their lawyer to file a false and vindictive criminal complaint against Goncalo stating that he obtained Legal Aid to fight them by fraudulent means.

I believe this was done at the stage where he produced his witnesses in court to prove that he was not actually libelling them in his book, he was merely reporting what the investigation thought, based upon the evidence available to them at that stage.  The McCanns to put it mildly bit off far more than they could chew.  Just how narcissistic do you need to be, to actually be responsible for the disposal of your own little girl and they start trying to sue people for millions if anyone actually dares to say so?

The McCanns are mean, nasty and vindictive.  Their education was seemingly so bereft they did not even learn it is a parents job to love and protect their child from harm, no one else.   Demanding millions of pounds from anyone they can think of after they at best seriously neglected  and lost her, does not turn their parenting clock back.   They say she complained about crying and being alone, they say they went and did it again and left the door open.  They can sue me if they like, it will not stop me saying they got rid of her.

Maddie Case: McCanns lose another legal complaint

Maddie Case: McCanns Lose

The Public Ministry of Portimão rejected a complaint made by Isabel Duarte, the lawyer for the McCann couple, which accused Gonçalo Amaral of giving false statements to the Social Security in order to obtain legal support. The Public Ministry considers that Gonçalo Amaral did not commit any crime.

“ This is another defeat for the McCann couple. It is another setback in their attempts to destroy me civilly [i.e. civil action].”

Caso Maddie - McCann perdem

Acting Deputy Commissioner John Yates - friend of Gerry McCann?

What do Gerry McCann and John Yates have in common?  A strong desire to appear before Commons Select Committees and mislead them, perhaps?  The gift of the gab (or so they believe)?   A love of everything that is true blue, even a nice smart tie? The list could go on..
As we hear more and more about just how much trouble the News of the World are in, we also hear about some serious whoppers told by John Yates, i.e. "John Yates, the Met's acting deputy assistant commissioner, who handled a previous phone-hacking investigation, said that the police had only identified 10 to 12 victims", "oh prosecutors told me to say that because we did not have a case unless they got listened into before they got the message themselves" - what a load of old cobblers eh?   If the News of the World have hacked into your phone and listened to your private messages, does it actually make any difference if they do that before you listen to them yourself or after?  Of course not.   Today it is admitted there at least 91 victims, lawyers for the victims say there are actually thousands.  So I have no hesitation in saying Mr Yates is a liar, who did not conduct investigations he conducted whitewashes, where the trick is to narrow the remit of the investigation so  that you are not really investigating, you are putting your blinkers on.   Probably not what the public expect from the police.

Now who is the one senior copper who was apparently sympathetic to and had a meeting with the McCanns, oh Mr Yates, strange that.

It now turns out that in fact there may be several thousand victims of the News of the World.

If something does not come out of all of this that smells real bad for Kate and Gerry McCann, I will be mightily surprised.  Maybe even the reason the Gerry God has suddenly gone a bit press shy which is so uncharacteristic for him.

I actually think the Culture Media and Sport Commons Select Committee have done far more for the public good than we ever gave them credit for.    But here is another interesting thing, it seems to be Labour politicians who were victims, but then of course we know Clarence likes the tories, and the tories  were nice to the McCanns with their keen interest in Amber Alert.

It may take a bit of unravelling but there are now two top lady cops at London Met sticking their big oar into this one and I have a feeling that means trouble for Murky Murdoch and all who try to get under his dirty old brolly.

Fair play to Sienna Miller for refusing to just shut up and take £100,000, quite rightly she does not just want cash, she wants to know what the buggers were up to!

KATE WARNS MADDIE'S KIDNAPPERS MY BOOK WILL GET YOU!

Is this a rather sick April Fool's Day joke from the Daily

Express?  Should they have mentioned that if Maddie

is found she is a Ward of Mrs Justice Hogg who has

sole responsibility for deciding upon Maddie's future

care, I do not think that would include Kate and Gerry,

who have not been with her for over half her life but

somehow know she is completely unharmed.

Maybe Justice Hogg should ask them how they know that!

I have added the tennis balls pic from the Portuguese Police files showing Maddie
ACTUALLY looked when she disappeared.  Everything is a fake about the McCanns..

MADELEINE:

FAMILY WARN KIDNAPPERS

Kate’s 384-page memoir, Madeleine, is being published on the missing girl’s birthday on May 12
Friday April 1,2011

By Tracey Kandohla

THE mother of Madeleine McCann is using the book she has written to send a plea to her daughter’s kidnappers: “Please, let her come home.”
Kate McCann’s anguished account of her living nightmare since Madeleine was snatched nearly four years ago is set to be this year’s publishing sensation when it goes on sale next month.
Kate, and her husband Gerry hope the book will be read by Madeleine’s abductors and even by their daughter, who will turn eight next month.
A friend said last night: “The book is another warning from the family that they will never stop searching for their beloved daughter. Whoever snatched Madeleine should be warned that the book will only bolster the search efforts.”
Kate’s 384-page memoir, Madeleine, is  being published on the missing girl’s birthday on May 12 and has been translated into several languages, including Portuguese and Spanish.

The family’s spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “Kate is writing the book to raise awareness of her daughter’s disappearance and to pay private investigators to continue the search to find her.
“Ultimately she is hoping and praying it will lead to her daughter being found alive.”
The international drive to market the book is aimed at triggering a vital new lead in the long-running investigation.
A friend of Kate said: “Anyone will be able to get their hands on it. If Madeleine’s still out there, as her family and friends believe, she could have access to it.”
Kate, a 42-year-old doctor and her cardiologist husband Gerry, also 42, are convinced Madeleine was abducted nearly four years ago.

In desperation, Kate has sent an anguished public message to the kidnappers, begging them to treat her beloved Madeleine “with love and respect”.
The couple said on their Find Madeleine website: “We hope with all our hearts that wherever she is, she is safe and well.”
They also hope “whoever may be with her is treating her with the love and respect she so deserves”.
Anxious friends have revealed that Kate has been overwhelmed with emotion while putting the finishing touches to her book, which she hopes will raise millions of pounds for the dwindling fund set up to find Madeleine.
Within weeks of Madeleine’s disappearance money from the public poured in, but it emerged recently that the fund had dropped from its £2million peak to just a fraction of that amount.
A friend said: “Kate is hoping the book will keep the search going for another year.”
Madeleine will be published next month by Transworld, who have bought UK and Commonwealth rights, including Europe, Australia and Canada.
A source close to Kate said: “No American deal has yet been done but it will be.
“Kate wants the book to be global because Madeleine could be anywhere in the world.”
Madeleine went missing from the holiday resort of Praia da Luz on Portugal’s Algarve days before her fourth birthday in May 2007 while her parents were dining with friends in a nearby restaurant.
The official Portuguese inquiry into Madeleine’s disappearance formally ceased in July 2008 but private detectives employed by the McCanns have continued the search for their missing daughter.
The McCanns, of Rothley, Leics, have developed close links with American authorities and have made several fact-finding trips to the US National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
An investigator also recently claimed Madeleine had been taken across the Atlantic, one of a multitude of claims and sightings that have been made over the years.
Amateur detective Marcelino Italiano, 36, insists the youngster was abducted by an Algarve-based paedophile ring and has given the name of two key suspects to police. His claims are being looked into by private detectives working for Kate and Gerry.
According to friends, researching and writing the book has been heartbreaking at times for Kate.
One said: “Writing the book is proving to be a very painful experience for Kate, reliving all the awful memories and writing about her darling daughter when she is still not home.
“It is the book she never wanted to write but the family are desperate to keep the search for her going.”
Kate, who also has six-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, said: “My reason for writing is simple – to give an account of the truth.
“Publishing this book has been a very difficult decision but with the depletion of Madeleine’s Fund, it is a decision that has virtually been taken out of our hands.
“Every penny we raise through its sales will be spent on our search for Madeleine. Nothing is more important than finding our little girl.”
Kate has recently accused the Government of giving up the hunt for her daughter, saying a series of ministers had shrugged off her pleas for help.
She said: “We need action, not fluffy, worthless words.”

OFFICIAL: EDDIE THE EX POLICE SNIFFER DOG MORE HINDRANCE THAN HELP

Maybe it is about time, people refrained from trotting out that tired old cliche, expert "cadaver dog" proves Maddie died in the apartment... there is no other evidence of a cadaver in there ergo  !!!  That demonstrates about as much intelligence and logical reasoning power as my (admittedly rather clever) Parrot called Nanday, bless him, he says thank you and hangs invitingly off his cage when there is food in the offing and can say hello using the accents of myself and two of my sons.  Particularly in
the early morning he rings the phone and answers it "helloooo" then he will chant hello good boy.  I hope any Bennettite readers get the overall picture and learn to grow up.  Evidence the McCanns were involved in her disappearance but no precise evidence of just how they made her disappear.  She may be still alive, and that is a fact.  Maybe Kate does know that, if so high time she talked to Leicester Police.  But there again, that would be demonstrating concern for Madeleine, something she has always been decidedly lacking in.

Sniffer Dogs 'Can Hinder Police Work'

8:57am UK, Thursday March 24, 2011

Gerard Tubb, Sky News correspondent
Police sniffer dogs used to find missing people and dead bodies "urgently" need better training and monitoring, according to an official report.

Sniffer dog Eddie was relieved of his police duties

The Government's National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) said specialist victim recovery dogs are not trained to approved standards, with no way of gauging their competence.

The NPIA reviewed the use of the specialist sniffer dogs two years ago, but its report has only now surfaced following a request bySky News.

"There is no consistency in what the dogs can do and how it is done," the report states.

"Furthermore, there is no national standard for accrediting dogs and handlers or record keeping of the success rate they achieve."

The report added the dogs, which are trained to detect the smell of dead bodies, have "the potential to cause complications in an inquiry".

"There is an urgent need to have national policy on their training, accreditation and deployment," it concluded.

The review uses a kidnap investigation to highlight how dogs have tied up valuable police time.

The animals detected human remains in old furniture that had been bought from houses where the owner had died.

The use of victim recovery, or cadaver dogs, has proved to be controversial in a number of high-profile cases in recent years.

A South Yorkshire Police spaniel called Eddie was said to have sniffed out the "scent of death" at the Haut de la Garenne children's home in Jersey and the apartment from which Madeleine McCann disappeared in Portugal.

But in both cases nothing more was found and South Yorkshire Police say Eddie is no longer working with them.

Sniffer dogs hindered the police probe into Shannon Matthew's disappearance

Victim recovery dogs from four different police forces were used during searches for kidnapped schoolgirl Shannon Matthews in Dewsbury in West Yorkshire in 2008.

The dogs found evidence of dead bodies, but officers later discovered the corpses were nothing to do with her disappearance.

"The properties searched contained a high level of second-hand furniture bought from dwellings where someone had died," according to the NPIA report.

"This resulted in numerous indications that required further investigation to confirm whether they were connected to the investigation, or to previous owners of the furniture."

The Association of Chief Police Officers told Sky News it was consulting individual police forces and hoped to have national training standards for the dogs later this year.

WAR OF WORDS LOOMS OVER MADELEINE MCCANN BOOKS

Story Image
Kate McCann publishes her fundraising book called Madeleine later this year
Sunday March 20,2011

By James Murray

FORMER Portuguese police chief Goncalo Amaral is set for a new legal battle with Kate and Gerry McCann after writing a second book about their missing daughter Madeleine.
Mr Amaral’s book will be published in Portugal next month shortly before Kate McCann publishes her fundraising book called Madeleine.
It could not come at a worse time for Kate, 42. She is hoping someone who reads her book will come forward with information about the person who took her daughter on May 3, 2007.
The McCanns’ private investigator David Edgar is also preparing to beef up his team in Portugal to react swiftly to any new leads produced by Kate’s book. It goes on sale in Britain on May 12 and a week later in Portugal.
The McCanns have already fought a costly legal battle over Mr Amaral’s first book on the case. Called Maddie: The Truth Of The Lie, it was taken off the shelves for several months before being allowed back on sale.
On Friday the McCanns lost an appeal in Portugal’s Supreme Court to stop his first book from going back on the shelves there.

ì
The timing of this new book is just coincidental, nothing was planned
î
Goncalo Amaral’s wife Sofia said
In the book Mr Amaral put forward the theory that Madeleine had died in apartment 5a of the Ocean Club complex in Praia da Luz on the Algarve. His conclusion angered the McCanns, who insist there is no evidence to suggest Madeleine died there and they still hope she is alive.
Now the stage is set for a fresh legal battle. Mr Amaral’s wife Sofia said: “Goncalo has been working on his book for about six months, spending days and nights assessing all the evidence. He has put in an enormous amount of work. The title has not been decided and a publication date will be sorted out this week.
“At this stage he doesn’t want to say too much, but he will say his investigation was cut short and he will explain what he would have done if he had been allowed to continue. The book is not just about Madeleine. He gives the background to other big cases he was involved with.

“The timing of this new book is just coincidental, nothing was planned. We are not trying to cash in on the fourth anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance and we do not want a fight over Kate’s book.”
Mr Amaral was a senior investigation officer in the case but was taken off it after criticising British police for an alleged lack of co-operation.
After resigning from the Policia Judiciaria, he has become a successful author in Portugal and regularly appears on television news. He has tried to publish The Truth Of The Lie in Britain but no publisher has accepted it for fear of being sued for libel.
Kate McCann is said to have been warned by her publisher to be careful of what she says about Mr Amaral. However, she does chronicle her frustration with him and her anger over the way he looked at the case.
The Sunday Express can also reveal that Mr Edgar has been making regular trips to Portugal to check out leads in recent months.
A source said: “The investigation is very active. There is a hope that Kate’s book will lead to someone coming forward with the key piece of the jigsaw.”
