What do Gerry McCann and John Yates have in common? A strong desire to appear before Commons Select Committees and mislead them, perhaps? The gift of the gab (or so they believe)? A love of everything that is true blue, even a nice smart tie? The list could go on..
As we hear more and more about just how much trouble the News of the World are in, we also hear about some serious whoppers told by John Yates, i.e. "John Yates, the Met's acting deputy assistant commissioner, who handled a previous phone-hacking investigation, said that the police had only identified 10 to 12 victims", "oh prosecutors told me to say that because we did not have a case unless they got listened into before they got the message themselves" - what a load of old cobblers eh? If the News of the World have hacked into your phone and listened to your private messages, does it actually make any difference if they do that before you listen to them yourself or after? Of course not. Today it is admitted there at least 91 victims, lawyers for the victims say there are actually thousands. So I have no hesitation in saying Mr Yates is a liar, who did not conduct investigations he conducted whitewashes, where the trick is to narrow the remit of the investigation so that you are not really investigating, you are putting your blinkers on. Probably not what the public expect from the police. Now who is the one senior copper who was apparently sympathetic to and had a meeting with the McCanns, oh Mr Yates, strange that.
It now turns out that in fact there may be several thousand victims of the News of the World.
If something does not come out of all of this that smells real bad for Kate and Gerry McCann, I will be mightily surprised. Maybe even the reason the Gerry God has suddenly gone a bit press shy which is so uncharacteristic for him.
I actually think the Culture Media and Sport Commons Select Committee have done far more for the public good than we ever gave them credit for. But here is another interesting thing, it seems to be Labour politicians who were victims, but then of course we know Clarence likes the tories, and the tories were nice to the McCanns with their keen interest in Amber Alert.
It may take a bit of unravelling but there are now two top lady cops at London Met sticking their big oar into this one and I have a feeling that means trouble for Murky Murdoch and all who try to get under his dirty old brolly.
Fair play to Sienna Miller for refusing to just shut up and take £100,000, quite rightly she does not just want cash, she wants to know what the buggers were up to!

An early bit of blogging from Gerry McScam, supremely confident in his own infallible gift of the gab, of course when his lawyers took a wee peep at his bloggings they advised it should all disappear, rather rapidly (and if you are not listening to our advise we cannot even attempt to defend you).
Dangerous really being such an egotist..
There is a very upsetting story on the front page of a British National Newspaper today. The headline suggests that Kate and I face prosecution for neglecting our children by dining 50 yards away and checking on them regularly. We know that there has been criticism in some quarters of our actions but at the time, we felt our actions were responsible. We were essentially performing our own baby listening service although we have talked of the guilt we felt at now being there at the moment Madeleine was taken.
We have been advised that legally our behaviour was well within the bounds of responsible parenting and subsequently been assured that no action will be taken. These types of criticism, particularly at this stage, as well as being hurtful are extremely unhelpful in the search for Madeleine. From the moment we discovered Madeleine missing Kate and I have done everything in our power to try and help get her back.
Our opinion now is completely clouded by what has happened to us and of course has sent shock waves through thousands of families. The real issue is that we should not have a constant fear of abduction of our children from their bedrooms,
gardens or streets for that matter.
What Kate and I did was at worst naïve and no one should forget that the real criminal is the predator who has taken a completely innocent child in such a premeditated fashion. It is this act that has wreaked havoc on our family and affected millions of other people''
The Daily Mail appear to have removed Kate and Gerry from the serious news pages - a report about Kate's erm terrible sadness as she manages to find time to do early morning jogs (presumably the twins go one under each arm or they look after each other??)(, visit Maddie's room twice a day and write her novel etc is to be found among the celebrity gossip on the side tab. I am sure they will be pleased with that!
See about half way down "female today"
It is gut wrenching stuff..

Rosieflops; A tribute to kate and gerry……….
So some of you have been wondering where I’ve been for the last few months, well with the coming release of our book I can now reveal that I was honoured to be invited by Katie to write a forword to the book,I offcourse was happy to accept this privilege especially as I was invited up to stay with kate and gerry at Rothley. They had even gone to the trouble of redecorating one of the bedrooms for me to stay in, there where lots of pictures on the walls of all the abductors and they had even saved a picture of Margaret to put above my bed.
Katie was well aware of my writing skills and my previous successful book releases so she was more than happy to let me deal with the punctuation and spelling.
We have spent many long afternoons dotting the ‘err’s’ and crossing the ‘um’s’.And we both looked forward to the twins arriving back from their long walk home from school.
I would even help preparing the evening meal and could not help but admire gerrys muscular calves as he arrived home on his bicycle.
We would sit,as a family, at the table and say prayers and gerry would always bring down the ‘jar’ from above the mantelpiece and place it on the table.
During the evenings kate and I would often play games whilst gerry disappeared into the study to work on all his computers.I particularly liked ‘cluedo’ and ‘guess who’ and sometimes we would play monopoly and gerry would let us play with real money.
I am so gratetful to my supporter for her unwavering support through these difficult times
And we are now all looking forward to the book being a massive success.gerry has already cleared a big space in the loft and the garage and the garden shed as Amazon have asked us to provide additional storage just incase we have to keep a few for a while.
Sadly kate has decided,on Doctors orders, that she will be unable to attend the pre arranged book signings due to her calpol tunnel syndrome but she is looking forward to the many TV Interviews and garden partys.
God bless you all Rosie xx

Addendum.
I should also like to thank all those who have supported us at the Association of Child Neglectors, all three of them.I know how hard they have worked trawling those nasty sites bullying those who claim to look after their children properly,we know how boring that can be.
Rosie xx
I see Lady Kate's doctoring skills are not entirely going to waste..at least she managed to get some self annointing pain in the wrist which should help to keep her smiling warmly for Maddie's birthday and all the flashbulbs.
I note from live traffic feed, this thread is attracting a lot of interest!
So in March he comes out firefighting with due aggression, I want to rebut this nasty allegations, this stain on my own and the Met's integrity.
Now in July, he just wants to apologise, what else can he do? Perhaps crawling under the nearest stone would be fitting, he likes things covered up after all.
