Maddie case: In their first interview since they quit being suspects in the disappearance of their daughter, Kate and Gerry McCann spoke about the re-launch of the investigation, the fear that they felt in Portugal and the unshakable certainty that Madeleine was abducted"Nothing in the process says that Madeleine has died"Q – What are you presently doing to find Madeleine?

Gerry – We have had private investigators working with us for several months. Now that the case has been archived, it's easier because we accessed the process. We carried out new interviews with those that had already testified. And we interviewed others who approached us and had never spoken before.

Kate – As we didn't know what the PJ had done, we repeated everything that seemed important to us.Q – Do the new witnesses offer clues about the disappearance?

Gerry – Some report sightings, but it's not likely that they lead to our daughter. We are more interested in people that offer credible information that can be verified through photographs or in another form; people who know who may be involved.Q – What impression did you get from the process? Were you shocked over its contents?

Gerry – We were investigated into the smallest detail. There are entire volumes about us. We can jump those. It must be disquieting information that will not help us to find Madeleine.

Q – Don't you think that everything that was possible to do, was done? The investigation reached Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Morocco…

Gerry – Morocco is a good example of what went wrong. A sighting was reported and it was said that there were cameras at the petrol station. When the inspectors went there, they concluded that there were none. The truth is that there were none in the pump area, but in the shop. And when the PJ returned, the tape had been recorded over.

Kate – It's difficult to describe how it feels to have our daughter taken away… We want to see action everywhere. We wanted spotlights, we wanted helicopters, we wanted everyone on the street, searching.
Q – If Madeleine had disappeared in England, would things have been different?

Gerry – If it had happened in a British city, I have no doubts. But I don't know if it would have been different if we had been in a small village in Scotland. Clearly, the English police are more experienced in abductions, they are more alert.

Q – If you have an important clue concerning Madeleine's whereabouts, will you transmit it to the Portuguese police?

Gerry – If something needs to be done in Portugal, we'll have to. We cannot go around breaking doors down or arresting people. But only when we feel that we cannot advance any further on our own.
Q – Do you trust the Portuguese authorities, after having been considered suspects?

Gerry – We wouldn't mind if we had been investigated at the beginning, if they thought that could help. But months later, when the evidence had been lost? It's that once the suspicion is installed, we can never prove our innocence again.

Q – Didn't you find it strange that the dogs found traces of blood in your room and in your rental car…

Gerry – There was no blood found! The indicia are worthless if they are not corroborated by forensic information. And they were not.

Q – 40 apartments were investigated and the dogs only marked yours. Ten cars and they only reacted to yours.

Gerry – These dogs' frailty was proved by a study that was carried out in the USA, in the case of a man that had been accused of murder. They had ten rooms, and in each room four boxes were placed, containing vegetables, bones, trash. Some contained human remains. They stayed there for ten hours. Eight hours after the boxes were removed, the dogs came in. And the dogs failed two thirds of the attempts. Imagine the reliability when these dogs test an apartment three months after the disappearance of a child.

Q – Were you surprised when you were made arguidos?

Kate – It was not surprising after weeks with the media saying that we were suspects. And there we have to ask why the information that reached the media was disfigured. Why do the newspapers say that blood was found in the apartment when the police report does not confirm it? Why was it said that the DNA that was found in the car was a 100% match with Madeleine's?

Gerry – In a way, we would like to have been accused so we could defend ourselves openly. Now, reading the process, there is no evidence that justifies the suspicion, apart from the dogs' action. There was never a sustained explanation. And the questioning: 'What happened to Madeleine? How did you get rid of her? Who helped you? Where did you put her?' All fantasy! If they had found DNA – so what? And if Madeleine had hurt herself inside the apartment – why would that be our fault?

Q – Do you investigate information that point towards Madeleine's death?

Kate – We want to find her alive, but if she is dead we want to know.
Q – Do you still believe that she's alive?

Kate – There are great possibilities that she is alive, aren't there? There is nothing in the process to indicate that something bad has happened to her…

Q – But there are no indicia that she has been abducted, either.

Gerry – We firmly believe that she was abducted by a man, minutes after I went to see her in the bedroom. There are two independent witnesses that saw a child of around four years of age being carried that evening. Our friend Jane Tanner and also the Smith family.

Q – The PJ discredits Jane Tanner's testimony. They say that when she saw said man with the child, you [Gerry] were chatting nearby and it was impossible that you hadn’t seen him as well…
Gerry – I didn't see her because my back was turned to the location where she passed. I was talking to a friend. And there is also the couple with children that saw a man carrying a child with pyjamas that were similar to Madeleine's, blond hair, the same age.

Q – Later on, that family stated that the man they saw was Gerry…

Gerry – At that time I was at the restaurant. The fact that we became suspects has probably influenced the Smiths' testimony.
Q – Was it a coincidence that you were made arguidos on one day and returned home the next day?

Gerry – They questioned us on that day because the PJ knew about our return.

Q – Were you afraid of being arrested?

Kate – Obviously. At a certain point we didn't know very well what could happen.

Gerry – From the information in the newspapers, of course we were afraid. It was scary.

Q – Being in England, you would not be extradited anymore.

Gerry – We asked the inspector that was in charge of the case if he had any objection: the answer was no. It's obvious that we were afraid that people might think we were escaping, but it was better not to be in Portugal at that point in time.

Q – Why?

Kate – Because of the hostile environment. We couldn't even leave the house.

Q – Why did Kate refuse to answer questions during your interrogation, that Gerry accepted to clarify the next day?

Kate – I was advised by my Portuguese lawyer not to reply.

Gerry – I received the same advice but decided to disobey. My plan was to remain silent, but the first question was: 'Are you involved in your daughter's disappearance?' It was nonsense and I decided to answer. From there onwards, I replied to all of them.Q – Why didn't you authorise the police to see the messages that you sent and received on your mobile phone on the eve of Maddie’s disappearance.

Gerry – Nobody asked to see my messages. On the day before and on the day of the disappearance I did not receive or send 16 messages. I could hardly write a text message. I received three or four phone calls and two were from work. After the disappearance I received hundreds. And when the police asked me for the registry, I told them to ask the service provider. My phone only registers the last ten.

Q – The chief inspector in the case, Tavares de Almeida, writes a report where he says that your friends lied to save you, that Maddie died in the living room, and that you hid the body.

Gerry – What can we say? You will have to ask the police chiefs why they wrote that, why they saw us as suspects.Q – The majority of crimes where the victims are children are committed by the parents.

Gerry – Not in the case of abducted children. And this is a case of an abducted child. It's an exceptional case.

Q – When he archived the case, the prosecutor said that the investigation can be reopened if a new clue appears. Do you think that is possible?

Kate – Of course! It could happen at any moment. All that it takes is for one person to make the phone call that we wait for so much. We know that she was abducted in Portugal and we vehemently believe that someone knows or suspects something.

"Mr Amaral's behaviour is a disgrace"They have not read the book that is a best-seller in Portugal. And they don't spare the author and former PJ inspectorQ – Former inspector Gonçalo Amaral remains convinced of your involvement in Madeleine's disappearance. Did you read 'The Truth of the Lie', the book that he wrote?

Kate and Gerry – No.

Kate – Why would I?

Gerry – I won't learn anything from reading it.

Q – It was a success in Portugal.

Gerry – Was it? How many copies did it sell?Q – Approximately 200 thousand. Next week, it is released in Spain.

Gerry – That is what can be called illicit enrichment.

Q – Your English lawyers already have a translated copy and they are analysing it. Do you intend to sue Gonçalo Amaral?

Gerry – At this moment we are focused on what we can do to find Madeleine and not in suing anyone.

Kate – All that I am going to say about this – because I'm not going to waste any time on Mr Amaral – is that as a professional and as a person his behaviour has been a disgrace.

Q – Aren't you curious to know what the book says?

Kate – What for? It must be nothing but a load of rubbish. It is so secondary… It certainly won't help to find our daughter. My consolation is that on the cover he calls her Maddie, the name that the media have invented. We never called her anything like that.

Q – But you do know the theory that Gonçalo Amaral defends: Madeleine accidentally died in the Ocean Club apartment and you concealed the body.

Gerry – It really is a waste of time. And we need all the time that we can get to analyse the investigation's documents, which contain a lot of information that we didn't know about.

Kate – You just have to cross, loosely, his theory with the process in order to understand that the facts that he reports are not correct.
Q – There is a theory that defends that the coordinator was removed from the investigation due to British political pressure.
Gerry – Who dismissed him?Q – The PJ's national director.

Gerry – Then you have to ask him if he was pressured. Or if Gordon Brown discussed the case with him. He surely didn't.

Q – He also resigned. And largely due to this process.

Gerry – That was not what I was told. Apparently he had a vision of the police itself that was different from the one held by the Justice Minister.

Q – In a final analysis, they both left the PJ because the investigation failed.

Gerry – That's not our fault. I do not criticize the authorities over not trying to find Madeleine. It doesn't matter anymore. Now all that matters is that we do everything to try to find her, through our own methods.

Q – Did you ever get to know Gonçalo Amaral?

Kate – The question is the other way around: did he get to know us?

*
There are photographs of her all over the houseGerry has returned to his work as a cardiologist. Kate did not exercise medicine again. Twins Sean and Amelie fill up her days as a mother.Q – How has your life changed with the disappearance of Madeleine?

Gerry – Independently of what happens, it will never be the same again. If you talk to the parents of other abducted children, they also mention this parallel life which we entered. Sean and Amelie, being so young, force us to introduce a certain normality in our lives, to make it normal for them. And it's them who, for moments, make it normal for us. But it will never be normal for us. They are aged three and a half, and they are very, very happy.Q – Did you explain to the twins what happened to their sister?

Kate – They perceive Madeleine's absence perfectly. I have no doubt whatsoever. But they don't know the details. They know that she disappeared and that we're looking for her.

Gerry – We were advised concerning what we should tell them, how and when. Larger explanations are kept for later. We realise that they miss their older sister. They know that her not being with us is not a good thing, and they hope that she returns.

Q – How do you keep Madeleine present in your lives?

Kate – There are photographs of her all over the house. And we speak about her with the twins every day – it's an important part of their lives. Sean and Amelie talk about her and still include her in their playing… If they receive sweets, they say "Let's keep one for Madeleine". Or "When she comes home I'll give her this or that". It's endearing and it makes our days less difficult.

Q – Did you fear that you might lose custody over Sean and Amelie because your behaviour was considered to be negligent?

Gerry – We were not negligent, we did what any reasonable parent would do. But we deeply regret what happened, because in our action, someone saw an opportunity to take Madeleine. I'm an optimistic person. I never thought that something like this could happen.Q – Did you change the manner in which you deal with Sean and Amelie?

Gerry – We are more protective and less trusting. We never left our children alone again and many families will never do so again because of us.

Kate – Now we think about everything that can happen, about predators, abductors. We don't even let go of them in the shopping centre.

*€1.200.000The McCanns say that the fund has spent €1.2 million with the private investigation. But the reward of €3 million still standsQ – How much have you spent on the private investigation so far?

Gerry – Approximately one million pounds, over the past ten months, paid with money from the Find Madeleine fund. A substantial sum was also spent on our defence, but two benefactors have covered that expense, which means that the fund was solely used in the search for our daughter.Q – Do you maintain the offer of 2.5 million ponds to whoever finds Madeleine?

Gerry – We do not control that reward, but everything leads me to believe that it still stands. And that there will also be money available for whoever supplies credible information.

Kate – It's a lot of money, but we cannot set limits, a child is priceless. We'll pay whatever is necessary.

Q – Is there still money left in the fund?

Gerry – There is still some money left. Recently, British newspapers ('Express newspapers') paid us compensation of 550 thousand pounds, which fed the fund. That had an important impact. And there are still donations, people who send money directly.Q – But less than in the beginning, before you were made arguidos.

Gerry – Of course! Those who were in doubt stopped contributing. Many write to us asking for forgiveness because they believed in our guilt. We know that we have to make an effort for people to know that there is no evidence that Madeleine is dead and that we were not involved in the disappearance.

*Other issuesDogs – "We read everything that we found about these dogs that detect cadavers. It was due to them that we became suspects"Clues – "The sightings continue. Since May we received one thousand phone calls and an equal number of emails, some containing relevant data"Media exposure – "Appearing in the media was never good. We did it to publicise Madeleine's face and to find her. We failed"Background

Details of two hours of conversationKate and Gerry are different. More relaxed, or conformed. It is difficult to tell. "The twins force us to a certain normality", the mother explains. It's been 16 months and the mystery of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann remains unsolved.

The parents have already been victims of a tragedy and suspects of a terrible crime. The process was archived, but they are judged every day. Gerry agrees: "From the moment when the suspicion is installed, we can never prove our innocence".

This is the first interview since the process was archived, on the 21st of July. It is scheduled in Rothley, a small village in the British Midlands where nobody suspects the McCanns' guilt. Even less the owner of the Court House Hotel, which is installed in a medieval building and where the interview is held, in the late afternoon last Monday. There is tea with milk and biscuits. There is no guide and there are no forbidden questions.

In almost two hours of interview, Kate and Gerry, both 40, clearly state the intention that supports their availability for the conversation. "We believe that in Portugal someone knows about Madeleine, that it is where the solution for our daughter's disappearance lies". And they want that person, whether singular or collective, to know that they search for him, that they ensure his anonymity and that they will even give him 2.5 million pounds if he tells them where Madeleine is.

Every day, in their very British house of little bricks, they study a little more of the process of the Polícia Judiciária's investigation, which they personally consult as it is being translated. They understand "nothing" of Portuguese. From a first reading they reinforced their hope of finding Maddie alive. Nothing tells them that she is dead. The volumes about themselves, from the time when they were made arguidos, have been put aside. "We do not intend to read them".

They remind them of the days when they were afraid of being arrested in Portugal, accused of Madeleine's death.

Gerry McCann buried Madeleine's body on the beach, Portuguese detective says Telegraph

The Portuguese detective who was sacked as head of the team investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has accused her father of burying her body on the beach near their holiday apartment the same night that she was reported missing.

By David Harrison
Last Updated: 5:56PM BST 06 Sep 2008

In the latest of a series of extraordinary claims about the case, Goncalo Amaral, says he believes that Maddy died accidently in the McCann's rented flat as the result of a fall and that her father disposed of the body.

The disgraced detective - who has sold 120,000 copies of a book he has just published a book about the case - says an Irishman had claimed that he had seen Mr McCann with a child in his arms walking towards the beach on the night that Maddy reportedly disappeared.

The McCanns dismissed the claims, made in an interview with a Spanish newspaper, as "ridiculous".

Clarence Mitchell, the family's spokesman, said: "As Kate has said today Mr Amaral is a complete disgrace.

"His comments are grossly defamatory and utterly without foundation."

Mr Amaral, who has now retired from Portugal's Judicial Police investigation force, says in the El Mundo newspaper: "The Portuguese police, like the British [police], and also the prosecutor, who has now changed his opinion, thought the same. We are talking of a death involving third parties, not of homicide.

"In the bedroom blood and the smell of a body were found just below a window where there was a sofa. The father was there for a short time just outside this window having a conversation with a friend.

"The parents said the girl did not have a bad dream. Maybe the girl heard the father and climbed onto the sofa under the window. But the parents had pulled it away from the wall. so that the girl would not get out, and Madeleine could have fallen."

The former policeman talks about the Irish witness seeing Mr McCann carrying a child towards the beach and about sniffer dogs finding traces of blood and the scent of a body on the wall of the apartment and in the boot of a car the couple hired 23 days after Maddy disappeared.

This prompts the interviewer to ask: "Gerry McCann buried his daughter on the beach and then disinterred her and put her in the boot 23 days later?"

Amaral replies: "We don't know. The Irish witness I have spoken about saw on television Gerry with a child in his arms arriving in the United Kingdom and declared it was the same image that he had seen in May in Portugal. This man went two days without sleeping when he realised what he had discovered."

The interviewer says that Amaral's claim implies that the Tapas Nine - the McCanns and their friends who dined together on the night of Maddy's disappearance - had all ageed to lie.

Amaral says: "All of them. Because, in case you don't know, British legislation covering negligence in caring for children is very hard...In the United Kingdom, if you leave a child alone for half an hour you will lose custody. After the death of Madeleine, if it had been made public that it was an accident, all of them would have lost custody [of their children]."

The former detective describes how on one occasion during a meeting Kate McCann had lowered her head and seemed to be totally distracted for several seconds before coming back to being her usual self. "It appeared that she had escaped from the role that she was interpreting," he says.

Asked how she reacted when she was asked if Maddy had been killed by falling from the sofa he replies: "She didn't say anything, she just lowered her head for a moment as if she was on the point of fainting. She had an emotional crack that lasted for just a moment."

Amaral adds: "For me, Gerry hid the body of Madeleine on the beach. And after some days he transfered it to his car. We were working in this direction.

"We lacked establishing the date, some details, but we were on the way. The Irishman was on the point of coming to Portugal, but it took too long, and there were external pressures. In the end he didn't make a statement to the [Judicial] Police."

A friends of the McCanns dismissed Amaral's claims as "nonsense and legally extremely dangerous", and said that Kate and Gerry would sue Amaral if he published his book in the UK.

Mr Mitchell said: "Mr Amaral needs to be very careful in repeating those allegations. Kate and Gerry's lawyers are watching his words very carefully.

"He is also completely at odds with with his own Attorney-General who, in lifting Kate and Gerry's "arguido" - official suspect - status, made it clear that there is no evidence to suggest they are guilty of any crime whatsoever."

The couple, a man of 32 years and wife of 36, admitted Tuesday chocked children, both with 12 years, after which they were cut, and the father scattered parts of bodies in vats of municipal waste.

The online edition of the daily "Folha de Sao Paulo 'reports that the couple was arrested last Saturday, accused of committing the crime that caused great commotion in the largest city in Brazil.

The children were children of the first marriage of the main author of the crime, where the couple has given no reason for the crime

I believe you most of the time but this is an exception.

I still wonder if BK was a 10th Tapas and whether he has interests in common with the others?

ICTOAN, was too enraged by the article I had just read to enjoy the wonders of posting the 200th.

To be honest, I don't know. I'm jus glad that by decing to finance them, Mr Kennedy will prevent donations from good souls being wasted in another private detective company.

Hi Claudia -

That is just heartbreaking - that couple should be hung, drawn and quartered and then thrown off a cliff in my opinion!

Cláudia said...

Nancy, yeah, something like that. And I'm usually against the death penalty. It's just that sometimes...

nancy said...

I just read an article in the 3A's regarding the Leicestershire Police Awards Ceremony that Gerry was invited to when they returned to the UK from Portugal! I seem to remember he was given an award, although I could be mistaken about that, but he was handed a cheque for £67,000 made out to himself - not bad considering he'd left his children under 4 crying alone in their bedroom in a strange country and his daughter had been abducted by a paedophile as a consequence (or so he maintains)!

It seems you can fool some of the people some of the time and the LP's if you have the right connections!

nancy said...

Claudia -

I must be the only one on this forum who is not against the death penalty, and I'm talking here about serial killers, killers of policemen, terrorists, and of course, most importantly, paedophiles, whether it ends in the death of a child or not. Scum of the earth don't allow their victims to live, so why should they be allowed to?

But then I can remember a time when I was a young child being allowed to wander the countryside with my siblings all day while our parents worked without fear of misfortune - I don't think my Mum then knew the word paedophilia! The legal system in those days didn't listen to the politically correct brigade and would have carried out justice for their victims!

Cláudia said...

Nancy, I am generally speaking against it. But sometimes I feel tempted and could open some exceptions.
Lunch time! BBL

Yes, and of course I respect everyone's views on the subject.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, that's what democracy is about. I do know though, by following forums on the subject, that many people, all over the western world, who used to be completely against the DP are now wanting it back because so many people are frightened to walk the streets these days, and parents fear for their children, especially if they live in crime ridden areas.

Off to lunch myself now - see you later!

Just popped in to say this - who wants to see Gerry lie and make a total cock-up of a question about the text messages.
And who wants to see how a totally bored Kate has to jump in and save his sorry ass.
Who wants to see how funny they think this whole affair is?

What is interesting from my earlier post of El Mundo’s interview with Amaral is that he tells us.

“Some say that Gerry had strange behaviour at the tapis bar table on 3rd May, he spoke too much gesticulated a lot, opposite from the previous evenings.”

Claudia,

That video is PHENOMENAL. In his interview as posted above he quite clearly states 'Gerry – There was no blood found!'. Well the video the dog handler clearly states there was!

Nerves maybe.

Zodia,
In the El Mundo interview Amaral say there was washed blood found in the boot of the car. Meaning someone had tried to clean it but human blood all the same.

Zodiac,

Nerves - yes I would think so.

Cláudia said...

The dog only reacts to human blood. It would have been a lot more intelligent of gerry to say that many people have been in that apartment and the blood could be from anyone. Of course he would then have to explain who died there, if not Madeleine.

Wizard,

It was in the Press recently that his brother-in-law cleaned the car due to spillage of fish blood.

I’m still picking over the El Mundo interview.

Amaral was asked. “When you raised the hypothesis that Madeleine might have died after falling off the sofa, did Kate McCann answer.”

Amaral tells us that “She did not answer, she just dropped her head for a moment, as if she was about to faint. She had an emotional collapse…”

Today's 24 Horas tells us:-
08/09/08
Witnesses Heard by The PJ in the Maddie Case Were Sounded Out by the McCanns

Persons Heard by the PJ in the Maddie Case Were Sounded Out by Madeleine’s Parents

McCanns searched for Witnesses
by Luís Maneta

The mediatic process was still under the secrecy of justice, Kate and Gerry had already been constituted as arguidos, but nonetheless Madeleine's parents did not stop having contacts with witnesses. Three of them told everything to the authorities.
During the period in which the process Maddie was kept under the secrecy of justice, the McCann family had knowledge of what several witnesses knew. Persons who were sounded out and questioned by detectives hired to discover the whereabouts of the English girl, or even by a millionaire friend of the couple, reported subsequently the fact to the authorities, as stated in the process made public last month.

Between the witnesses "searched" on the McCanns request is Charlotte Pennington, one of the Ocean Club nannies, and Martin Smith, an Irish tourist who swore to be convinced of having seen Gerry carrying a child on his arms, in the fateful night of the 3rd of May in which the English girl disappeared of the apartment rented by the family in Praia da Luz.

Another witness, Catriona Baker, an Ocean Club nanny who knew personally Madeleine McCann, was received at the home of Kate and Gerry in November of 2007; months before her giving a statement to the Leicester police, in the scope of the rogatory letters sent by the Portuguese authorities for the United Kingdom.

When cross-examined by the English police, in April of 2008, Catriona Baker revealed the existence of this meeting: “I visited the family at their home in the sequence of an invitation to see how everyone was”.

Millionaire spoke with witness

In the questioning, besides describing the routine of the children in the crèche where they spent a great part of the day, Catriona shows that, when she knew of Maddie's disappearance, she searched for her everywhere, following on foot all the routes that were familiar to her, from the area around the Tapas Bar to the beach. “I did not see Kate or Gerry on that night”, she guarantees.

In his turn, the Irish tourist Martin Smith said to the British authorities that he had been contacted by Brian Kennedy - one of the biggest financiers of the Madeleine McCann Fund - in a date that he did not specify. Brian Kennedy justified the initiative with the purpose of elaborating a visual rendering of the man that Martin Smith said to have seen, a little after 22h00, carrying a child near the Ocean Club.

Initially, Smith did not identify the person. But after returning England and having seen Gerry McCann with one of the twins on his arms he was “60-80 % sure” that it was the same person. Having suspicions, Smith, did not only help to do any sketches he also refused to give informations.

Charlotte Pennington also said to have been approached by initiative of the McCanns. In this case, the contact was done through a private investigator, Noel Hagan, who works for Metodo 3, one of the detectives' agencies hired by Maddie's parents. “Charlotte assured to me that she only told him the same informations that she had already given to the PJ and to me”, wrote the English police officer who spoke with the former Ocean Club nanny.

Very thoughtful of them, Wizard. Don't you think?

Wizard said...

Claudia, if you are a suspect in a case under police investigation and you talk to police witnesses, even if that is via a third party, isn’t that harassment of witnesses of legal contempt?

Wizard, it should be. Maybe in normal situations it would be.

Hello All

Just watched Doc's youtube link...

I am so glad that Kate McCann can smile laugh raise her hands whilst saying the words "he never text until after Madeleine was missing" what a cold hearted evil bitch she is. Any normal person would choke on their childs name but not Gerry and Kate pathological liars who are even trying to pretend they never called her Maddie...

If it is true they got £67k from the LP the world has gone mad. Real Victims of crime get nothing near that amount and if a cheque was made out to anyone it should have been Madeleine she is the only victim of her parents cold hearted and unforgivable neglect.

Thanks for the you-tube link - those dogs are really amazing and prove in no uncertain terms that the McCann's flat was contaminated; also bearing in mind that the same procedure was carried out in all the other flats and there was no reaction whatsoever!

I also watched the 48 questions one that Kate McCann failed to answer - again an eye opener! Just what Mum wouldn't answer any question thrown at her to try to save her child.

The final one I watched was about Jane Tanner and the many discrepancies in her stories of how the child was dressed, with a blanket, without a blanket, looking like an egg man, looking like Murat, another one looking like a Mexican bandit - and yes, she definitely saw him - she lies through her teeth the same as the rest. None of the three she described looked at all like each other!

Then Gerry saying:

If Madeleine had an accident in the apartment, why was it our fault? What a hard hearted b.....d he is to say that about his lovely young daughter!

The lot of them make me want to puke!!

Of course if Viv is really a solicitor and does really know the law, she would realise that what her friend Docmac had done is to incriminate her too.

Docmac should know that Brian Kennedy is not a pair of grieving parents with their hands tied behind their backs unable to fight back. Kennedy is sharp, astute and principled, he does not go looking for trouble, but he will 'not' pass by an injustice. He does not suffer fools gladly and for sure, Docmac is emerging not only as a lying fool, but a headcase and a fantasist. I hear on the grapevine that Kennedy does not much care for being referred to as a paedophile and to say he is 'not best pleased' is an understatement. Viv and Docmac really had better beware! When Docmac decided to pick on Brian Kennedy and chose to accuse Brian Kennedy of unspeakable acts, he crossed one line too many, he picked upon the wrong person. He is going to discover this for himself very soon, but by association and by allowing Docmac to libel Brian Kennedy on her blog, Viv is also going to be pulled into this.
If they are not worried, then they should be as Kennedy does not make idle threats.

08 September 2008 11:05

Someone called you a paedophile, Brian? I must have missed it. Swinging, fraud and tax evasion wouldn't surprise me though. Will that letter be dropping through the same postbox as all the others that did not? Anyway, just to say I'm not scared of you or your massive brain. My real name is Chuck Norris.

Oh, and bum. Just change 'country' to 'continent' and you would be surprised at how close to the truth you are!
Still, you are so busy moralising about how people should respond to miscarriages you'd probably miss it.

That thread about Mr Ward was an eye opener. What a wonderful father he is to put so much effort into trying to get to the truth of what of what happened to his beloved daughter murdered while on safari in Kenya.

I wonder if Brian Kennedy, who hates injustices (as we all do), and who seem to have plenty of clout, would be willing to help Mr Ward try to bring to justice the killer of his daughter. Another man and police force who have their hands tied behind their backs because of political interference.

docmac said...

This can't be an anon, Nancy. Mentioning Brian Kennedy so many times in such a short post and singing his praises to that degree leads one to think it could only be Brian Kennedy. Or Gerry. lolol!!! The minute the Portugese let them leave was the minute the couple knew they had a massive chance of getting away with it.

Leicstershire Police is probably like most police forces. The higher echelons are run by freemasonry. Brian Kennedy's connection with the Mccann's must come via the posh private school Uppingham. His child went there and it is where the Leicstershire elite aspire to send their kids. I don't know whether G or BK are freemasons but I feel they are in that circle or that mini county elite that see themselves as protectors of each other. I am ceratin now that LP have been informing the couple all along and thus with BK's money bthey have been able to stay one step ahead. backed by the scottish group around Blair and BK's link to this via his former rugby connection it all ties in nicely. Thus it matters not whether a child has possibly died, what matters is a significant cover up job occurred early on and a network formed quickly around this group. Most ordinary people would do this based on a right or wrong but people who aspire and join such things as freemasonary do so usually to move up in the world. They have to prove their loyalty and in freemasonry they have manuals to read and 'exams' to pass. Little tricks and games get set by the elders and you have to pass them and progress. It is a game. In my opinion G feels very protected right now. He knows the truth of that week and so does KH but the trump card has been to activate the BK connection and it is his money and contacts that have saved them from serious charges. What on earth was he personally going to see Murat or Mr Smith for. I don't believe he would risk his business empire unless the personal motive was very high for getting involved. I believe this has something to do with the Leicstershire link rather than him actually being in PDL that night as some suggest. i may be wrong but whereas people are naturally concerned citizens in general they are actually motivated to action by personal needs. Reveal the BK link to the McCanns and I believe we would be more than half way there.

Hi, Nancy, It's incredible what loving parents do to find out what happened to a daughter they loved, isn't it? Even going against the whole establishment. It's a shame that not all are like that. As for Mr Kennedy, since he is such a generous soul, maybe he would like to help that brave, heroic father.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wear/7604252.stm

The father of a little girl sucked 150ft (46m) along an underground drain has told how she had stopped breathing when he pulled her from the River Wear.

Leona Baxter, three, was playing in a puddle when she disappeared. She had been washed into the uncovered drain and was thrown out into the river.

Her father Mark, 34, of Leeming, North Yorkshire, jumped into the water and pulled her to safety.

Police officers said the child "miraculously" avoided serious injury.

Leona's mother Beverley, 32, performed first aid on the youngster who also suffered a cut to her head.

'Coughing and spluttering'

Mr Baxter said when his daughter disappeared from view he realised she had fallen down a storm drain and that if it was going to go anywhere it would go to the river.

"I ran across the river and I saw what I thought was Leona's coat and I realised it was Leona floating face down in the river," he said.

"So I jumped over the side, jumped in, grabbed her and the water went up to my shoulder.

"I put her over my shoulder and patted her back because she wasn't breathing.

Leona is recovering in hospital after her ordeal

"I couldn't move holding Leona as my wellies had filled with water, so I stayed balanced and handed her to Bev who was on a bank.

"As soon as Leona was coughing and spluttering and being sick, I felt much happier because she was breathing then."

Police said Leona travelled about 150ft underground before being swept into the River Wear, near Durham Cricket ground, on Sunday evening.

Leona was playing with her sister Kiah, six, and the family pet dog Brophy in a puddle at a playground in Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street, when the accident happened.

It is believed the storm drain cover, which had been under about 8in (20cm) of water, was pushed off by a sudden release of water pressure.

Certain death

The dog, which was also sucked into the drain, is still missing.

Sgt Keith Wardle, of Durham Police, said: "Fortunately when the girl and her dog disappeared her dad quickly realised what was happening.

"He ran to the river bank and plucked her from the swollen river."

A police spokeswoman said the girl's father had saved her from "almost certain death".

Alistair Baker, spokesman for Northumbrian Water, said: "This was obviously a horrendous ordeal for such a little girl.

"A tragedy was averted thanks to the heroics of her father."

nancy said...

Hope for Truth -

Good thinking!

I'm sure I read that Gerry McCann and one of his tapas pals belonged to a Masonic Lodge; I know it's been discussed on the 3A's a few times.

I agree that if the connection between the McCanns and BK came to light, and I'm sure he didn't just come in to act the good samaritan to the McCanns, it would explain quite a lot. Even if he wanted to help finance the search for Madeleine, just why did he need to make all those personal visits to people involved in the case. He could have paid anyone else to do that.

Also, why did he choose to help the McCans and not other parents with missing children. It's said he doesn't like injustice. I wonder if he has thought much about the injustice done to Madeleine and her siblings through her parents' neglect!

More to their connection than meets the eye methinks!

Hi Nancy and ICTOAN (and all)

Yes it is a lovely story shame about the dog but when scared they sometimes run off and hide so maybe he will be found.

It show's how instinct takes over when a child is in danger (especialy when it is your child) quick thinking on the fathers part to where she would come out...

My girls are too old and cool to jump in puddles but I will be warning them about watching their step would not have thought a drain cover would come loose like that...

ICantThinkOfAName said...

Hope

I agree about instinct taking over when you children are in danger.

I attended a football match at the old Wembley with my family including my 2 sons the youngest being about 5.

At the end of the match a bunch of supporters from the losing side rushed into the area where the winners fans and my family were seated. Anticipating trouble and being fearful our safety we made our way down the steps at the back of the stand.

The same group of supporters suddenly ran back down the steps knocking my son to the bottom and piling on top of him, they having stumbled on the stairs.

I, without thinking, waded in and physically threw bodies right and left from on top of my son who was happily unhurt but a little "shocked".

I afterwards wondered how I did it as I am by nature timid and usually avoid mobs.

What a horrible thing to happen to your Son the adrenalin takes over though and that is how you turned into a Rugby player pushing everyone out of the way to get to him. Nothing else matters when your child is in danger...

I am not trying to say the McCann's would not have acted in the same way (if they had been there) but they dont seem to understand how their actions even to people sympathetic to them are shocking most parents would not dream of acting the way they did..

They wanted xyz they sat and wrote a time line for the police never mind organise a search party most of us would be running around in circles shouting our childs name at the top of our voices and be convinced that the next minute someone would find our child and the nightmare would be over.

But no she was gone taken by a Peadophile ring so there was no point them worrying about looking for her much to busy aranging to meet the pope and go jogging...

OK Gina, now that I have seen the questions I'll have a go.

Gina said...

Is there anybody on Vivs site that can give a sensible answer to these question.

1. Why has Amaral waited until he left the force to claim he thinks Gerry buried Madeleine on the Beach

2. What did he do about it when he was in a position to do something about it. Did he have the beach dug up? or did he choose not to dig it up incase he was wrong!

3. Do you think Amaral was denied authority to dig up the beach by the Minister for Tourism because it would not be good publicity & inconvenience holiday makers, that would never do would it.

4. Do any of you realise how stupid it is to make statements that are as yet unproven as fact.
Only those involved with Madeleine's disappearance know the facts.

Well you have just provided your own very good answer to questions 1 to 3.

5. Do you not think a rich person has the right to do what he/she wants with their money. Personally I think they are wasting it, but that is just my opinion.

6. Do you honestly think you are doing any good getting Justice for Madeleine by going over what the police already have and been unable to convinct on.

7. Do you think I am wasting my time trying to get you all to see the point - I'll answer that myself YES

Look, if you are going to answer all the questions yourself, why ask us?

08 September 2008 11:18

PS: Tell your friend my answer to your question 4 applies equally to her statement about GA 'refusing' Eddie's help at the beach. Also tell her I've never heard of Martin Grimes.

Cláudia said...

1. Why has Amaral waited until he left the force to claim he thinks Gerry buried Madeleine on the Beach

Why do you think he was removed from the investigation? It certainly wasn't because he bought the abduction theory, was it?

2. What did he do about it when he was in a position to do something about it. Did he have the beach dug up? or did he choose not to dig it up incase he was wrong!

You really should read the official documents on the case. Or have you got anything against the word 'official'? I recommend the final PJ report. Yes, yes, we know that you only master English although you live in Spain. No excuse, though. It has been translated into English.

3. Do you think Amaral was denied authority to dig up the beach by the Minister for Tourism because it would not be good publicity & inconvenience holiday makers, that would never do would it.

Girl, go easy on the cough syrup. There were boats and helicopters all over. It wasn't exactly a subtle search. If you don't remember, those holiday makers you are implying weren't meant to be disturbed helped in the searches while the 'celebrities' were busy making calls.

4. Do any of you realise how stupid it is to make statements that are as yet unproven as fact.
Only those involved with Madeleine's disappearance know the facts.

If making unproven statements was a crime, you would be convicted to life behind bars with no parole. As would the McCanns. Where is the abductor? Any evidence there is one? And please, no JT excuse or I'll have to tell you to go easy on the cough syrup again. And remind you of the Smith sighting, of course.

5. Do you not think a rich person has the right to do what he/she wants with their money. Personally I think they are wasting it, but that is just my opinion.

Sure. That's why I said I find it great that Mr Kennedy is willing to finance the parents of the century. No more commen citizens' donations wasted. In fact, to be honest, I would love for Mr Kennedy to spend all his fortune on the McCanns. :-)

6. Do you honestly think you are doing any good getting Justice for Madeleine by going over what the police already have and been unable to convinct on.

Yes. Madeleine won't be forgotten. Could you please ask her parents why they have the chance of asking the PJ to reopen the case and there is no talk about it? Thanks.

7. Do you think I am wasting my time trying to get you all to see the point - I'll answer that myself YES

Gina, you couldn't see the obvious if it bit you in the middle of your culo. 'Trying to get you all to see'? You don't think you're God by any chance, do you?

Sorry for the delay. Wasn't in the mood to visit the shit hole today.

Next time, Gina, try intelligent questions. Makes it more interesting.

Hiya Hope

I am not so angry with Karen Matthews, she did not physically harm her child and was clearly influenced by others including Kate and Gerry McCann. That is still not to exonerate or understand what she did, again, it does show a basic lack of normal care and concern. It is hard to imagine how social workers and psychologists can try and deal with her feelings about a mother, who was effectively trying to sell her, but at least this was a living child. There are levels of evil, and Karen has not gone so far down that road. To me the epitome is to deny your child even the right to a decent funeral purely to try and save your own miserable neck and worse still raise cash fighting fund etc to make sure they get away with it.

I suspect Karen's not guilty plea to the more serious charges is on the basis of legal advice at this stage. The hope will be that later a deal can be struck with the prosecutors dependent upon the evidence against her, kidnap is a very serious charge that will attract a heavy penalty and therefore criminal barristers will be doing everything on her behalf to mitigate this. I contrast this woman with Kate McCann and there is a huge contrast. Kate McCann had everything and no reason not to properly care for her children, not even to pay for a nanny if she did not wish to do what normal parents do on hols, take the kids with you. She/they come at the bottom rung of parental standards, they had no standards because they lack normal human empathy.

Hang on a minute did the law of libel change from when I studied it, admittedly only at undergraduate level:

"Courts award libel damages when a company or an individual has suffered financial harm as a result of something you or others may have said or written. "

Ah so now it is not harm to your reputation but harm to your bank balance, truly must have been a supporter of Kate and Gerry then who has re-interpreted the law in this way:-)))) I wonder if the writer of the above is getting confused with damages recoverable in contract and tort, or is the writer someone who just does not have a clue, ummmm, know what I think!

To the Anon "lawyer" Lolololol

It took me just a few seconds to find the AMERICAN webpage you plagiarised to try and threaten me:

I am not going to try and explain the law to you because I can see that would be a waste of time other than to say I live in the UK not America. I hope this is simple enough for you, UK courts do not take any notice of American law, strange that I know but I think you will find we have our own !! Also I suggest you read on and heed the warning it gives about plagiarising the work of others and passing it off as your own, tut tut!
http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/6651/copyright.htm

Just in case you cannot find the relevant bit, here it is:

1. Do not use somebody else's work on your Web page or in your e-mail without their permission.

This admonition applies equally whether the work is written text, program code, clip art, or anything else that is copyrighted. The "fair use" provision allows you to copy and distribute copyrighted material without permission, depending on the purpose (a school can copy more text than a business), the amount of the original used (copying only a small part of the original helps), and the effect of the use on the potential market for the original. When in doubt, contact the author and get permission to use the material. Finally, always acknowledge the author's copyright when you copy material.

2. Be careful about making statements that can harm a person's or company,s reputation.

You are as responsible for your false or misleading words online as you are elsewhere. Disparaging lies published in an online forum or Internet newsgroup can get you sued just as they can in the print media. Truth, however, is the best defense to a libel action.

Now, Mr /Mrs Lawyer, go play with someone your own age, I suggest upper middle school might be about right!

Good morning everyone!

Thank you for youtube-links yesterday, and Hope for the heroic-father-story.

I guess I have imagiend all this "accident" theories because I want to belive in "the good" of all people... I "want" to see the McCanns actions as pure panick because they oversedated the girl. I "want" to see her fate as a result from a fall from the sofa because I can"t understand how parents can hurt their children.

I have changed.

A family on holidays. They should all be so happy. They are not. The tension between the parents is huge. The mother complain all the time that she is tired and can't cope with three children by herself. Father is ready for yet another "me-time". A little girl gets hysterical when she hears that mum threatens dad that she won't go out for dinner if he does not help with kids. The more the parents quarell, the more hysterical the little girl gets. Afraid to be left alone again. Maybe begging dad to take her with him to tennis... "Don't leave me alone, don't leave me, don't leave me!!!" Then a one-hit-K.O., a kick from a shoe or a hit with a tennis-racket, and then silence... For a few shocking seconds... "Now see what you made me do!!! Happy now??? It's all your fault making me so angry!!! You want me in prision now??? You want to bring up the other two without a father??? It's your fault!!! Done is done!!! Now help me clean up!!!
Sedatives to the other children, valium to mum. A run down to tennis-court to inform a friend or two. Three heads together in a quiet talk. "I've done somthing terrible. I lost my temper. We can never get her back. We're in a foreign country, I can't go to prision here. You have to help me out on this one. I promise I won't get you invoved. I'll pay it back a thousand times. You just have to give me an alibi!. A change of shoes or tennis-racket. Then the ball rolls, and it's not possible to stop it. For who-ever knows the truth, there is no way back. In the eyes of all the world, with support from celebrities, prime-ministers, millionears, family and some innocent children that should never learn the truth, you cross your fingers and hope that one day the little girl will be forgotten and the ball stops rolling somewhere where it can't hit you...

dylan said...

Good morning all!

Niki - it's true what you say about once the ball is rolling..... If a decision is made right from the start like I think they made, it would be impossible for them to retract what they say had happened. They created a media monster and the longer it went on, the worse it would have got and the more serious a crime (such as the money coming in for the fund). However, nothing could be worse than losing a child and they know in thier hearts what happened. This, IMO, is worse than any prison sentence. They'll never be able to live with themselves.

I find it incredible that they keep on insisting, over and over again, that whatever happened to Madeleine, wasn't because of them. WTF?? Of course it was because of them because they weren't there! And, if they WERE there, then that makes what happened a lot more serious!

Thank you for the links to the you tube videos Doc and Claudia. I wonder what Kate means by saying the texts were sent after Maddie disappeared? If she means immediately after then why was Gerry texting?? If you've just had your child go missing, you wouldn't waste your time texting. I admit some people have very fast text fingers but, if you desperately needed to contact people, regardless of the cost, you would call them - it's much quicker! I'm sure anyway that there wouldn't have been 16 people that immediately needed to know and needed to know more than Kate and Gerry needed to be out looking for her. If I'd have left my children (which I never would) the first thing I'd assume was that he or she had wondered off. Oh but no, the door was locked, no it wasn't, yes it was...! The shutters were jemmied, no they weren't.... A parent would never immediately have presumed a child was snatched. Especially since the McCanns thought it was such a safe place for the children. Just like being in your own back garden!!! Why then immediately assume an abduction....hmmmm!!

Viv, I see you did a Dylan last night!! Hope you enjoyed yourself ;-)))))

Hi Dylan:)

Very interesting reading!

A little snippet:
“….although we have talked of the guilt we felt at not being there at the moment Madeleine was taken.”

First, let’s look at what Gerry McCann did NOT say:

“We are horrified that we left our little girl alone and made it easy for a predator to kidnap her.”

Okay, that statement would be normal for a nonnarcissit and one who accepts responsibility for their actions, so maybe we shouldn’t think Gerry would say that. But, one might think he should have at least said this:
”..although we have talked of the guilt we felt at not realizing it was unsafe to leave Madeleine alone and because we were naive, we feel guilt that Madeleine was taken while we innocently left her unattended.”

This would be a pretty good statement, but, wait, I have to say, again, they are too narcissistic to admit to this large a mistake, so I would guess this is why Gerry didn’t say that either. BUT, let’s see examine what Gerry REALLY did say and why it is important and very concerning.

“…the guilt we felt at not being there AT THE MOMENT MADELEINE WAS TAKEN.”

First of all, Gerry, IF one of you had been there with Madeleine, there would be NO MOMENT WHEN MADELEINE WAS TAKEN. It simply could not have occurred. If one of you had been there, either the abductor would have simply turned around and given up the idea or you would have fought with the abductor to save Madeleine. She could NOT HAVE BEEN TAKEN if you were there.

Let’s analyze further. There are two very important words here: MOMENT and TAKEN.

First of all, Madeleine couldn’t have been taken in a MOMENT by an abductor. It would have taken quite a few moments to grab the child out of the bed, struggle with her, climb out a window, and carry her off.

Secondly, she wouldn’t have just been TAKEN. She would have been ABDUCTED, STOLEN, or KIDNAPPED.

Good morning Niki and Dylan -

Yes, a strange thing to say - Madeleine's been taken! But the I suppose it doesn't sound so serious as 'abducted or kidnapped'! So it would make him feel a bit less guilty perhaps.

I find it completely unacceptable that the McCanns have been allowed contact with Witnesses, especially as it took place while the case was still ongoing!

It seems that their arguidos status only applied when they were asked questions they didn't want to answer, but when it suited them they talked to anyone they felt like, including the media.

How good it must be to know that you are untouchable! How they sleep at night I'll never know!

dylan said...

Niki, thanks for the comments. I think that statement from the McCanns is particularly weird. especially the 'at the moment' bit. It's the strangest thing to say. If you take freudian angle on that, it appears to imply that they knew exactly what happened "at that moment". Just my opinion though. As the author says, there are other ways that it could have been worded that would have been much more plausible! I don't beleive narcicism comes into it (although they are narcissistic), I believe, as I said, that they know what happened!

Zodiac - hi! Nice to "talk" to you again. I'm having a day of sorting out bills :( so I'll be around for a bit. May I add another? Gerry's nose is longer than Keela's but Keela puts hers to honest use!

Things are looking up! Instead of just insulting us personally, one of them from the ST blog (Gina) has actually asked questions about the case!

We are certainly not used to that; normally it's just them making personal insults.

How many times in the past have we been trying to get one of them to give an opinion of how the abductor took Madeleine without response!

All is not lost it seems!

I think we should send a questionnaire to them - we could all write a couple each.

This is not necessarily aimed at Gina - it could be anyone with a face on ST's - but please no faceless anons need reply!

So I'll start:

1. Why did Kate wear the same clothes on holiday that she had been wearing to the hospital while dealing with cadavers. She told the PJ's she had been in contact with six cadavers when the dogs discovered the scent on her clothes remember? Any normal person would take clean or new clothes on holiday and some that would suit the climate! Did she really expect people to believe that!

2. Why did Kate fail to answer the 48 questions put to her by the PJ's. I'd answer a 1000 questions if I thought it might help get my child back.

dylan said...

Hi Nancy,

By the look on their smirking faces half of the time, I'm sure they sleep very well at night. Beggars belief really.

It is incredible that they had access to the witnesses. That should never have been allowed. I wonder if Mr Smith was offered any money to keep his mouth shut?? Also, I wonder if the people with the photos were too - that would explain why they wanted to make some money out of them as I expect they would want to know if they were worth more than ahem... silence money!

Manchester Evening News 09.09.08

Top cops to join Maddie hunt.

Exclusive John Scheerhout
9/ 9/2008

TOP former detectives from Greater Manchester Police could be recruited by the team trying to finding missing Madeleine McCann.

Chief Supt Steve Heywood, head of the serious crime division of Greater Manchester Police, has been asked to provide a list of retired or about-to-retire officers.

Madeleine was snatched while on holiday in Portugal just a few days short of her fourth birthday last year.

The Find Madeleine Fund was set up with help from individual donations and is now being bankrolled by Sales Sharks boss Brian Kennedy.

It is understood that he is now considering the list provided by GMP. Among the list of "senior investigating officers" is former Det Supt Andy Tattersall.

Mr Kennedy has already spoken to him about the case. Mr Tattersall retired last year but still works for the force in a civilian role looking at historic murder cases.

Another former Manchester police officer Henri Exton, 57, is currently involved in the hunt for Madeleine. He is understood to be a shareholder in American-based private investigators Oakley International.

It is understood that Mr Kennedy is happy with the work being done by Oakley but Mr Exton is taking a `back seat' following publicity around the case.

A source close to the inquiry said: "The main concern all along has been to find Madeleine. Everything else is secondary. It would be silly not consider alternatives if they could help find her," said a source.

"Oakley has a contract and there is no intention of severing that. But that's not to say that in two or three weeks or a month that might not change,"

Mr Tattersall co-wrote with another Manchester detective, Tony Cook, the `A to Z checklist of murder investigation' which is used by police forces across the country. He also worked on the investigation into the murder of special branch officer Stephen Oake which ended in the jailing of terrorist Kamel Bourgass.

But Mr Tattersall was also involved in the Jill Dando murder case which identified Barry George as the culprit. Mr Tattersall insisted the conviction was safe but it was quashed on appeal.

A spokesman for GMP said: "We were approached by the charity who asked us if we knew of any retiring or recently retired officers who could help with their inquiries. We have given them details of some eligible officers or former officers. As far as we are aware, no decision has been made by the charity, but we are not involved in the selection process."

Madeleine was abducted from the flat in Praia da Luz on May 3 while her parents were dining 50 yards away. During the summer, Portuguese police decided to shelve the case and lift `arguido', or official suspect, status on Madeleine's parents, Kate and Gerry, both 40, from Rothley, Leicestershire.

Di said...

"We were approached by the charity"

Do they not mean Limited Company!

Anonymous said...

Di,

I read that article on 3 A's. The Charity word being mentioned in that article is subliminal messaging, IMO. Also noted their new keyword 'secondary'. Wonder how many times that ludicrous word will pop up.

Wizard said...

Di I was just reading your post of he article from the Manchester Evening News – interesting. The only problem with this is anyone who is employed by Team McCann will by virtue of the remit from their employers not be allowed to objectively searching for her. Quite simply if they find evidence which points in the direction of the McCanns they will be out of a job. Imo all searches of this kind are useless.

Di said...

Why approach Greater Manchester Police and ask for retiring or recently retired officers.

Why not ask Leicestershire Police to continue investigating or better still, ask the PJ to reopen the case. Mmmm I don't think they will want to do that.

Today’s main article on Joana Morais’s blog is from Textusa one of her posters. David Payne is firmly placed in the frame of this theory about Madeleine’s disappearance. It is a well argued case but needs a certain amount of tweaking to fit into the timeline as we know it.

If the dogs can only pick up the odour of a corpse after two hours and the alarm is given that she is missing is at 10.00pm - then she died between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. Of course Payne visits apartment 5A at 6.30pm saying he saw Madeleine alive. This would fit Textusa’s explanation. Anyone any views on Textusa’s theory? (See Joana Morais’s blog).

I read Joana Morais blogg. It is an articulated explanation but it doesn't fit with the times known , however there many contraditions on times and movements of the tapas group.
One thing i'm completly aording to Textusa, whoever is hightly protecting McCanns, is actually protecting himslf/themselves IMO

Investigation by retired officers from he Greater Manchester Police. May I put John Stalker's name forward. His opinion in the Daily Mail article below to me is on the right track.

McCanns 'are hiding a big secret', former police chief claims
Last updated at 14:34 28 October 2007
Kate and Gerry McCann are hiding a "big secret" about the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine, according a former police chief claims.
John Stalker, who headed a famous inquiry into whether suspected IRA men were killed by RUC officers, is suspicious of their silence.
Expert analysis: Former police chief John Stalker believes the McCanns are hiding a secret
The former Deputy Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police told the Sunday Express: My gut instinct is that some big secret is probably being covered up.
I have watched the investigation into the Madeleine McCann case drag out for six months.
One thing above all worries me: Why have the McCanns and the seven other members of their group? the Tapas Nine? remained so silent?
Unlike other high-profile cases I have worked on, not one of them has been prepared to break ranks or really come out and support each other.
After all this time and pressure, I cannot believe that nobody wants to speak.
I have a real suspicion that we are not being told the whole truth. There is something else there, some issue that members of the party are embarrassed about?

Di said...

Wizard

Good point, I am sure John Stalker would be more than happy to offer his services. Somehow I don't think they would want him, they would be too afraid of what he would find.

nancy said...

Di -

So they are trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes and refer to the Madeleine Fund as a Charity now!! It was registered at Companies House as a registered Company immediately if my memory serves me right. It will be interesting to see the result of the next audit when it happens.

Perhaps it would be a good move to get the retired Manchester Police involved; in fact any police at all to keep the investigation ongoing, as long as they won't be McCann's and Brian Kennedy's puppets, but will be making Madeleine's disappearance and whatever happened to her top of their agenda.

Bring it on!

Especially when the father of the missing child says this:

'the English police are more experienced in abductions, they are more alert.'

Why do you not ask them to investigate then? Not retired or ex British cops but the British Police Force.

As for this:

Many write to us asking for forgiveness because they believed in our guilt.

I would LOL! but I actually feel embarrassed for you and sorry for your child that is missing due to you not being there. Deluded or what!

nancy said...

Zodiac -

I don't think the McCanns should fool themselves that just because they have lost their arguidos status that the majority of people think they are innocent in their daughter's disappearance.

Quite the opposite in fact; people aren't that stupid and realise that they are up there on their pedestals trying to prove what wonderful parents they are, even though they didn't give a second thought about abandoning three young children under 4 and their disgusting tapas friends as well, who share their guilt!

They should bear in mind that more than a few people who have not been found guilty because they got off on some technicality or other are still as guilty as hell and they know it!

If they never get charged and found guilty of anything, they will all still go down in history as the most infamous characters of the 21 Century!

Just how much money do these two have then if they can afford to keep top London lawyers on their case 24/7? The mind boggles!! Still I suppose they have good old Uncle Brian to continue topping up the Fund!!

rang up GMP to say why are they referring to it as a charity - they put me through to Press Office, the guy told me to hang on then he came back and said I have the article in front of me and we never referred to it as a charity, we referred to it as a fund. I went on to say that was no so as the quote mentioned charity twice and he said I have to go to keep this line open for journalists and got rid of me
I rang Manchester Evening News and spoke to the journalist who did the article and told him - he said the statement he got from the GMP used the word CHARITY and he quoted what they said (therefore IMO the Press Office were not telling me the truth!) He said he thought he had corrected it as he realised the Police must have made a mistake so on the website the journalist was going to correct it to Fund (even though the police used the word Charity) I said IMO the GMP should make a statement correcting that they said Charity - so naughty GMP Press Office saying they did NOT say charity when journalist confirmed they DID say charity in the statement they gave him!

I have no intention of answering any of Nancy's questions unless she can answer these ones?

Why are you not speaking up over the obvious child endangering activity that is going on your favourite site?

Where do you get the right to decide what child endangerment is? I suppose what G&K and the other 7 misfits did in PDL does not qualify as child endangerment? And how do you know that this is the mentioned poster's favourite site?

How do you feel about one of your fellow posters behaving in such an irresponsible way, and your other fellow posters actually encouraging this behaviour?
Excuse me, can you offer any evidence that this is actually irresponsible? The mother concerned is anonyomous and her location unknown. If you named family members do you think they would be traceable? Would someone look for Joe and Joanne Troll? I have noted that you assert this behaviour is 'illegal'. Care to back that up with some proof?

Come on Nancy, we have had to put up with your sanctimonious posts on child neglect posts for months now. Put your money where your mouth is and answer these simple questions.
Someone forcing you to read this blog? Or paying you?

Is naming your children online and discussing your daughters virginity while pissed to complete strangers a responsible thing to do in your opinion?
Go sue Oprah. And Hello and People magazines. Or even the master of poor taste, Jerry Springer. See how far you get.

Because while you condone this, you have absolutely NO moral right whatsoever to judge the McCanns' behaviour.
Your stated mission is to shut down so-called 'hate blogs'. Do you have blogs bitching about people who blog on sites that show hatred for Paris Hilton? Or OJ? Or Jane Goody? Or the Royal family? Or people who blame the bingo caller for their losses?

1) The McCanns were negligent. It is clearcut and obvious to anyone who is not interested in maintaining a charade. Remember the South Shields poll 95 per cent!I suppose they are only negligent according to the dictionary definition !!!!!

2)Every single person on this planet has a duty to themselves to make judgements. It is what keeps us alive and protected from the dark forces in this world. Unfortunately even though 3yr olds may have a better 'moral' compass than their parents they cannot make judgements in a mature way taking into account the context. Unlike say adults in their thirties who clearly know whether hitting a child or leaving a child to be frightened and lonely in a strange room in a strange apartment is dangerous.

3)A lot of people base their position in society on intimidation, fear and control. Others prefer to have a simple rule that could loosely be based around being able to look at themselves in the mirror and knowing they are not a bad person or say knowing they haven't fleeced grannies out of their savings by say buying extremely expensive windows that they didn't really need. If you need to make a judgement on what bad is then ask a 3yr old. They can smell bad at a distance Eddie and Keela can.

Me thinks I may have hit a raw nerve over the Andorran connection

mmmmmm and how does ST know that Dyl is not taking the piss and has made up names for her children????

And if she is naming them it would take one hell of a sick individual to take the time to track her children down through first name...

What really makes me bang my head against the wall though is all these damn fine human beings who condone DYl for posting some random names on line the fury and discust...

Yet Gerry and Kate and the rest of the selfish tapas mob left sick children and young children home alone night after night are heros???

Sorry dont get it??? Then I dont understand why Kate could not answer very simple questions or how either of them can look so happy on what would have been Madeleien's 4th Birthday?

Around the time my first baby would have been born even 15 years later I stop and think what would have been I am lucky as my eldest daughter makes sense of it all but even if my baby was just a few cells at 12 weeks I loved it with all my heart and I would have done anything to save it...

So I am sorry keep slagging this site off keep having a go at Dyl for posting names tell us we will all burn in hell I dont care. My children are my world and when other people dont cherish their own and look after them I cant understand it and when the same people do all they can not to cooperate in an investigation and for a Mother to be so hard faced to refuse to answer questions that I find disturbing and unforgivable.

And do you know what if Madeleine was abducted the circus they have created has not helped her one little bit and if she turns up one day I dont think she will forgive her parents either how could they looks so happy when she was in such a horrible place why did they never tell her it would be ok why did they go jogging and not look for her and why did her Mother not answer any questions for her...

Ok so here is a test

1) You are on holiday do you...

a) Keep a careful eye on your children and involve them in what you do.

b) Chuck them in a creche all day and ignore them in the evening.

2) You are in a new job selling double glazing. The company encourages you to sell the product at hugely inflated prices. Do you...

a)Decide you don't want to make money by ripping other people off and go look for a new job.

b)Get very excited that you may make money this way and you may even be able to climb up the social ladder if you make enough.

If you answered mostly a) then you are welcome on this blog and you are welcome to join the club of people who have empathy in their soul.

If you have answered mostly b) you have no soul, no integrity and you are welcome to make huge amounts of money or climb social ladders for it will mean nothing a few moments before you die and you see your own reflection in front of you.

The point here is it is not people that are 'hated' or detested it is the actions that these people have done. That is why children need protecting because so many adults fail to realise that it is up to them to nurture the instincts into their own child and thus by harming or abusing your own child you are really making a statement about yourself.

It is never too late to tell the truth KH about that week and a good start would be to get on a plane tomorrow morning from East Midlands airport, pop over to Portugal and walk into that police station in PDL and show the world your innocence OR guilt.

Mail headline: I WAS MARRIED TO A UPPER CLASS PAEDOPHILE!

Members of the Establishment refused to accept my husband's depravity.

--------------------------------

Historian and Curator - Took - was a paedophile but his wife Pat suspected nothing for 25 years.
He showed other paedophiles over the internet a video of a five year old girl, completely naked, and crying in a corner. She is so frightened that she wets herself. One of the men with her repeatedly hits her. Another man throws her face downwards on the bed then the men rape her. She dies soon afterwards of her injuries.

Now if these low lives don't deserve capital punishment then I don't know who does - in fact it's too good for them in my opinion!

Absolutely tragic story and breaks my heart to read it.

Mark Saunders was shot dead by police after a siege in May this year at his home in Chlesea.

His sister say police broke Human Rights Laws by being allowed to meet to confer on their accounts of event.

Tim Owen QC, representing Mr Saunders' sister Charlotte, told the court the issue was "whether the hitherto practice of permitting police officers to confer before and during the recording of their accounts" of the incident is compatible with human rights laws.

Madeleine although a ward of court did not have an advocate to defend her human rights when the T9 met at a hotel November last year to, imo, do something very similar.

Hi Docmac,

When you get a moment could you let me know how you make links on this site. I asked ROTB once before but she just directed me to a web site which proved as clear as mud to me. Do you have a dummies version?

It would be great to be able to do this so I'm hoping you can find the time to help me out.

Best regards as always Wizard

Hi all,

Nancy,

What sickening depraved people there are in this world. Poor little girl, I agree it is tragic and heart breaking. Yet certain people have beaming smiles and high pitched grating voices saying there child has been abducted by a paedophile ring and there is no evidence to suggest she has been harmed. Well I do not believe in the imaginary abductor of PdL never have, never will. The more I read the more I see confirms my beliefs.

Those dogs picking out trousers and a top that have been worn publicly. The red/dark pink top or is it a childs sun dress and of course CC who has been displayed, imo, as a prop for all the world to see had pride of place behind closed doors shoved in a cupboard. The books and the meds, noticed the meds had week 1, 2, 3 etc. Joana-morais blogspots states they find several sleeping medicaments. Docmac are you able to see clearly on that vid and confirm if they are sleeping meds? Does anyone know if this has been shown on the UK news or is that a daft question? Well, imo, having seen these damning videos there will be no suing of GA his book reflects the videos and case files. Why are they sitting at home being able to dish out threats to anyone they want. At the very least they should uncover one stone and crawl under it. Horrible people the videos speak volumes.

Hi All,

I see I am still causing a stir for my heinous crime of giving my kids' Christian names on the net;-)

What is wrong with these people??? If anybody tracks me down to cause any harm at all beacuse of my opinions on the McCanns then it would be directed at me. I'm sure and they would, with or without knowing I have children. If, on the other hand, it's suggested that some sort of child molester might come for my children, I'm sure there are easier opportunities than spending all that time tracking children down from a blog, that they haven't even had access to a picture of. (like children left in holiday appartments whilst their parents go out on the p*ss).
Maybe ST knows something I don't, maybe ST is already checking out my details because s/he's sending someone or coming him/herself for me. Well ST, that's what it's beginning to look like to me so just back off and leave me alone. I am now finding your behaviour and remarks as threatening, intimidating and downright nasty. I'd be careful, if I were you, as this behaviour of yours is on the web for all to see so I wouldn't need to go far to find any proof. I shan't go and look for myself but I'm sure that Viv or Doc has copies of your harrassing posts pertaining to myself. I am sure that it will make you happy to know that you have genuinely frightened me and it's not because I'm afraid of a stranger coming for my children but because I am afraid of you or one of your co-bloggers coming for them, and I do NOT take this kind of intimidation lightly.

Enough said. Thanks guys for sticking up for me. It's much appreciated. xx

Dylan, if that situation had happened to me, I would have done exactly what I told Doc I would do. Screenshots taken and a police complaint.
In fact, I have done it for far less. I wasn't even sure if my 'problem' was worth a complaint. When I asked if it was, I was told a very clear 'of course it is worth it'.

Thanks Claudia.

I am so surprised Gina is associating herself with these unbalanced people.

Antena3 Report: The McCanns kept numerous medicines which provoked sleepiness Antena3 (Spanish)

New exclusive images from the report

Espejo Público [an Antena3 TV Show]
Madrid, 10.09.2008 | 11:03 h.
Thanks to Joana Morais for translation

Given the repeated refusal of the British police to send different reports about the marriage, the Portuguese police drew up a profile searching throughout the McCanns second house, in Praia da Luz.

Thus, officers, accompanied by two police psychologists, conducted a meticulous search in the main bedroom.

In a case of abduction, the family circle is always investigated. The police were surprised on having seen the bedroom. Kate seems to be mourning. In her small bedside table are many photos of Maddy surrounded with rosaries and a Bible, which had bookmarked, with a picture a fragment of the Old Testament in which it could be read: "However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die".

At the other side of the bed, on Gerry's bedside table the attention is given to, between other books, "The interpretation of Murder". In the study where Gerry writes his blog and where he works at the campaign to find his daughter, another surprise: CEOP manuals, books with access restricted to police and governmental entities.

Faced with this discovery, Mark Harrison, the British police officer brought from the United Kingdom to coordinate the case, finds it difficult to believe. He wonders how this married couple had access to these manuals, which are exclusively reserved for police officers.

The Portuguese Officers confirm, in this way, their suspicions about the contacts which have been provided to the McCanns, which, for them, is translated into huge political pressure that, in their judgment, limits the investigation.

Also, the police find numerous medicines, which they examine in search of the sedatives that they fear were given to the children by the McCanns on the night of the 3rd of May. They also register the side effects caused by the medicines that they find, and verify that the majority of them provoke sleepiness. They examine as well the drawers, closets, as well as the twins' room and that no longer sleep in cots but in beds.

The final report of the process, in contrast to the images included in the same report, state that independently of the curious and morbid conclusions, the only fact that one can determine, as such, is the disparate behaviour of the couple at the time of facing Madeleine's disappearance.

I don't know if any of you have seen the latest thread on Claudia's blog.

The posting by Niza made me smile not only for the content but my hearing my late mother's voice speaking the words as I read them.

My mother had that same directness that Niza has displayed in mant of her postings.

Cláudia said...

Di, you're welcome! :-)
Congratulations! :-)
P.S: As for Gina, I'm not surprised.

ICTOAN, I'm not sure what comment you're talking about, but Niza is a blast! :-)

Hi BT

I am in full agreement with the British Police Officer, how did Gerry get hold af a CEOP manual that was for Police only?

Numerous medicines, ok we all take several remedies when going on holiday but the majority provoke sleepiness? WHAT!!

Gerry's holiday read "The interpretation of murder"

I am glad I was not on holiday with this couple!!
