SKY MASSIVE LIBEL PAYOUT FOR COMPARING ROBERT MURAT TO IAN HUNTLEY

Hi All, Since my return from Egypt I note there is some news that has pleased me immensely. In addition to the £600,000 libel damages from a selection of other papers, Robert has now received an undisclosed amount from Sky who were singled out and dealt with separately for what was undoubtedly just about the worst example of libel that there could be, a direct comparison to evil child murderer Ian Huntley, all in support of the sickening claim by Kate and Gerry McCann that Madeleine was supposedly abducted and here was the poor man they were seeking to blame for this, not allowing his girlfriend Michaela to escape this evil behaviour either. WE even had a piece in the articles from the Daily Express, now of course, all removed, where Kate McCann herself was claiming he had a case to answer, her low level of human behaviour or downright audacity seemingly knows no bounds. This news outlet if one could call it that the McCanns signed an exclusive deal with and none of us will forget the outrageous claims from the McCanns and their family that were peddled in cognisance of exclusive access to the gruesome twosome and their hitherto useless Pink Spinster.

For libel on this scale one could almost guarantee that Robert Murat has received at least half a million pounds from Sky taking the total amount he has now received to over one million pounds. If ever a person deserved such a massive payout it is this man and his family. No one can imagine what being the McCann's Patsy for such a long time must have truly been like, villified by their "supporters" such as "Rosiepops" as a sickening paedophile and far worse still. I also believe it is a measure of justice that the gruesome twosome, in spite of everything that was written about them received just £275,000 each, a small fraction of what Robert received. There is a simple reason for this, he is a totally innocent man who they are their friends fiercely tried to blame for Madeleine's disappearance. In stark contrast, even on their own account, although they cannot even accept it, they are responsible for the disappearance of Madeleine, who the Portuguese authorities have confirmed in no uncertain terms died in their apartment. They left their children every single night they were there, all night, every night. But somehow Gerry and Kate McCann do not accept any responsibility, no claims Gerry it was just like being in their back garden, even though those children cried pitifully for parents who did not give a damn, it was a garden where these two sad excuses for parents were oblivious to their cries and when seeking to explain Kate smirks with abandoned disdain as she describes Madeleine's complaints that they were just left to cry. So, if anyone is wondering why they only managed to con £275,000 each from just one newspaper group who ondoubtedly went over the top, whereas Robert got over a million from several media outlets, now you know the reason why, they were culpable they were to blame and they have told a lot of lies. All Robert ever did was act like a decent citizen, but their pals who flew back to have another go at Robert in July 2007 had the gall to also stand on the steps of the High Court complaining they were libelled! Gerry in yet another of his by now classical slips states they always intended to give the money to the Fund. Yes Gerry we know, you and your pals cynically ripped off the covers of Madeleine's books and plotted and schemed that very night how you would get libelled and make a mint. But you have not kidded anyone, we will continue to make sure of that.

LOVE AND BEST WISHES TO ROBERT MURAT AND HIS FAMILY AND A HOPE YOU CAN BEGIN TO FORGET THE TERRIBLE HURT AND DISRUPTION TO YOUR LIFE

LOVE TO ALL INNOCENT ABUSED CHILDREN AND MAY THEY IN THE END GET THE JUSTICE THEY TRULY DESERVE

MADELEINE YOUR PARENTS MAY HAVE FELT ABLE TO LAUGH JUST A FEW DAYS AFTER YOU HAD GONE BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU

Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat accepts libel damages from BSkyB
Robert Murat has accepted substantial undisclosed libel damages from BSkyB over an allegation that there were strong grounds for believing that he was guilty of abducting Madeleine McCann.

By Daily Telegraph reporter Last Updated: 2:22PM GMT 14 Nov 2008

Mr Murat was made a formal suspect two weeks after Madeleine's disappearance Photo: REUTERS
Mr Murat, 34, was not at London's High Court for the settlement of his action against British Sky Broadcasting Ltd.
He had previously received a record settlement of £600,000 over "seriously defamatory" allegations in nearly 100 articles connecting him with the abduction.
He had sued Associated Newspapers, Express Newspapers, MGN Limited and News Group Newspapers.
His solicitor Louis Charalambous told Mr Justice Eady that an article and video on the Sky News website claimed that in the early days after Madeleine's disappearance from Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007, Mr Murat's behaviour was reminiscent of child murderer Ian Huntley.
The article, which was published until April this year, and the video, which was accessible until this September, also suggested that Mr Murat had deliberately tried to mislead journalists by pretending to be acting in an official capacity for the police.
Victoria Shore, counsel for BSkyB, which is also paying Mr Murat's costs, made an unreserved apology for publishing the false allegations, and the distress caused.
Mr Charalambous told the judge that the allegations were entirely untrue and it was accepted that Mr Murat had no involvement whatever in the abduction of Madeleine.
"The defendant accepts that Mr Murat did not act like a child murderer nor did he try to mislead or lie to any journalists.
"It acknowledges that Mr Murat's actions after the abduction were entirely proper and were motivated by a desire to help find Madeleine McCann."
He said that Sky's apology would appear on its website for 12 months.
Ms Shore said that it very much regretted the distress caused by the publications.
Outside court, Mr Charalambous said that the settlement represented the final stage of Mr Murat's claims against those sections of the British media "which defamed him so terribly".
"He has been entirely successful and vindicated.
"He could never have brought any of these claims without the use of conditional fee agreements which gave him access to justice.
"It was particularly important to him to nail this particular lie - that he acted in some way reminiscent to the Soham murderer Ian Huntley when, in fact, he was working flat out to help try to find Madeleine."

Hiya Hope

You really have to admire Doc for his determination to inflitrate and disupt their dishonest activies. a job he does very well and he makes me really laugh in the process!

I am absolutely certain the prospect of Goncalo's book being here, in English is making Kate and Gerry's life hell, which is good. My continuing cconcern remains however, those poor little twins, the more crabby and edgy those two get the worse it is for them, I really hope a solution can be found. If Kate wanted to hand Madeleine over to relatives then why does she not do the decent thing, an act of love as my daughter accurately described it, and hand those little mites over to other relatives who can take better care of them, focussing solely on what they need, as opposed to the obsession with self interest that will haunt Kate and Gerry for ever more, or until they are convicted! This is simply not a fit environment for two little ones to grow up in, surely they have suffered enough?

Hi all,

Just saw this:

Gonçalo Amaral prepares to publish his book in the UK. But he is considering altering the contents.

Maybe Claudia knows if this is the case. I think it is a 24 Horas article.

Very tired and going to bed but just wanted to pose the question after reading this on Joana Morais blog

HOW DID LEONOR'S EX PARTNER KNOW GONCALO WAS TO BE RMEOVED FROM THE MADDIE INVESTIGATION ONE WEEK BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE DID??????

This has the signature of Clarence Mitchell scribbled all over it and I really hope the Portuguese authorities are pursuing this with the ultimate aim of pursuing the McCanns for seeking, as ever, to pervert the course of justice, a very serious offence. Yes I think they are certainly afraid and would I be right in thinking their supporters have stopped blabbing about how Goncalo will be convicted? At least they have the sense to do that then! Noite Nite all, I smell some real antics going on here and I sincerely doubt Goncalo is in the least bit worried about being convicted. He knows far more than he tells us guys..bless him!

I could be wrong but, I am not usually xx

Defence wants Gonçalo Amaral accused of torture; he wants to know who gave them information

Trial returns with a war of legal procedures

Miguel Ferreira with Lusa

Leonor Cipriano's defence in the trial of the PJ inspectors accused of torture, which restarts today in the Faro courthouse, is going to ask the Public Ministry to accept an accusation against Gonçalo Amaral, in an independent process, for alleged torture.

The attorney Aragão Correia told Lusa that "enough elements have already been brought together to independently accuse" Gonçalo Amaral of "torture", while he is being tried in this process for false witness and not denouncing inappropriate acts.

But Gonçalo Amaral has his own response. From what 24Horas can ascertain, the ex-inspector for PJ is going to request that the Public Ministry investigate the circumstances that allowed António Leandro, Leonor's ex-partner, to have been informed about his imminent removal from the Maddie case one week before it occurred.

Leandro revealed, at the door of the Faro courthouse, that "English investigators" had given him this information.

The ex-inspector's attorney, António Cabrita, requested a certificate of these declarations for the Public Ministry, which should be ready today in Faro.

António Cabrita now has six months to present a criminal complaint which will require the Public Ministry to investigate the case.

Today the employee of the Odemira Prison, Adélia Palma, will continue to respond to questions from the attorneys at the Faro courthouse, in another court session of the inspectors suspected of having tortured Leonor Cipriano.

Hi Viv -

It will be very interesting to see how quickly the media reacts to GA's book when it is published here in English. Although I think there will there be a concerted effort to try to prevent the newspapers publishing either extracts, or indeed the whole book, in view of the latest article in the Guardian where the media has been castigated for printing what are seen as libelous and misleading stories about the McCanns?

I think the McCanns,CM and all those involved in Madeleine's disappearance must be having some sleepless nights right now.
I don't believe they haven't yet read the book - they would be the first ones to hunt down a copy and have it translated.

Why would GA want to make alterations to the English version though I wonder.

I agree with you and Hope about Docmac. He is a breath of fresh air on this forum and his ripostes to ST and RP are just great and always hit the spot!

Nice to have you back Viv and I hope the weather is not too much of a culture shock after Egypt!

nancy said...

Viv -

Your last blog certainly gives food for thought. The case smacks of 'outside interference' if you ask me. Poor GA - he has certainly been through the mill since the Madeleine case, and is being crucified for his obvious wish to find the truth of what happened to Madeleine.

Someone or some people seem determined to shut Goncalo Amaral up and get him put behind bars, while the two scumbags who killed their young daughter are obviously hoping to get a lesser sentence than they so richly deserve.

Have a good night's sleep - I'm off myself now, so goodnight everyone.

Morning all

Doc I cannot see which blog I am meant to be reading but the suggestion that Claudia and I are also RP is well, simply priceless:-)))

Unknown said...

Hiya Nancy

I entirely agree that there was a clear plan to get Goncalo Amaral off the McCann case because he was simply too good! There was also a clear plan to publicise the Cipriano case, claim she is actually innocent and seriously damage Goncalo's reputation. Rosiepops has been doing this for a very long time now and was talking about the Ciopriano case before most of us had even heard of it.

However, in the end I actually believe that it will be the McCanns who are set up and Goncalo will demonstrate once more just how good he is:-)))

The McCanns simply cannot go through life seriously smearing decent people like Goncalo and Murat to try and get themselves off the hook for the dreadful crimes they have committed. They should have reckoned with someone like Goncalo in particular seriously knowing how to fight back. They should also remember that Goncalo is Portuguese and it seems to be the McCanns have seriously interfered in the Portuguese legal system, that is going to seriously cost them IMO. I believe things have not reached boiling point for them yet but they will do!

The author of this blog seems like a typical former Rosiepops disciple until of course RP banned her, Obama is the antichrist (WTF)- maybe they should just have one big happy blog and call it religious nutters of the world unite..

The doctor who assessed Leonor Cipriano at the Odemira Health Centre a few hours after the alleged assault said in court today that the lesions that he saw didn’t match those that are visible on the photos that were taken.

Oh my. Someone's going to be spitting mad. And it isn't Mr Amaral.

nancy said...

Hi Viv -

I agree with you - he has been set up, but I think Goncalo Amaral is much too clever for the McCanns and they will be left smarting.

I also read that the photos of the injuries of the Ciprianos have been altered to make them look much worse than they were. Those injuries were undoubtedly caused by other prisoners who even though some of them may be no good scum themselves, at the same time they loathe child neglecters and killers and who could blame them. They had it coming to them.

I have to admit though, Goncalo is up against some tough opposition from various quarters and I just hope he manages to convince the them of his innocence.

As for the McCanns and their disciples - as Leigh used to say - slowly, slowly, catchee monkey(s)!!

My worries deepen.

During a 'criminal chronical' at SIC tv station (yes the same who offers an Amaral book as a quiz extra prize), there were two statements from ex-prisioners who saw Leonor and they both confirm that she said she was beaten by the police. One of them, was her companion on the same cell, the other was further away and only spoke to her two/two and half months after she could see that se couldn't open her eyes. The mother of another prisioner and a 'friend' of a fourth one say that these two latter women have told them that Leonor was heavily beaten by her inmates. None of the two first ones have been called as witnesses, so far.

The doctor who saw Leonor the evening she left PJ premises said in court that she did not have the lesions shown in the pictures, he requested however an x-ray because he feared she might have a 'head/brain injury' (don't know the expression for it). This is what he said in court, it is not clear if he examined her, as she 'said' she suffered a small accident and the only visible thing was on the head. But the statement stands.

There is a new prosecutor in thecase and apparently this last one has an opinion that these PJ officers should not stand trial.

Aragão Correia has suggested(?) that the pictures should be analised for doctoring in Birmingham. Being true, I am most disppointed. He is mixing up things, if it goes on like this Amaral and the others will get free and illibated from the accusation of torture, which is the one that is made to them. Anything else he/they may have done or not done is NOT on trial HERE.

And if they are illibated, any mouvement in favour of Madeleine and criticising Amaral's doings will be reduced to the McCanns political manouvers and the British 'imperialist' tendencies in relation to Portugal. I'm most disapointed with this accusation team, all of it.

maria

But my dear Maria, you are the 'Portugese one' who always said this case was done and dusted. Now you're not so sure, eh? Should have had a few words with Mr Amaral, methinks. I smell yet another defection from the pink /purple place. Wanna put money on it? :-)))))

The hospital consultant accused of failing to spot Baby P's broken back today told of her devastation.

Dr Sabah Alzayyat, 52, spoke out for the first time to insist that she has devoted her career to treating children.

She also told of her "deep shock" over the 17-month-old toddler who died at his north London home two days after she examined him.

The consultant paediatrician remains the only person to lose their job despite the failures that led to the boy suffering months of abuse and neglect at the hands of his mother and two men.
Dismissed: Dr Sabah Alzayyat, leaving her Ilford home
Her contract was terminated after she decided against a full medical examination of Baby P because he was "miserable and cranky". A post-mortem revealed that among scores of injuries he had a broken back.
Dr Alzayyat last night made a rare appearance in public, leaving her home in Ilford to collect her husband from the airport. She said in a statement: "Like everyone involved in this case, I have been deeply affected by the shocking and tragic circumstances of this young child's death. My professional career has been devoted to the care of children. I will cooperate with any investigation to identify whether lessons can be learnt from this case, but I feel it would be inappropriate to provide any further comment to the press at this time."

Abuse charges were dropped against Baby P's mother after council said she had 'good relationship' her child

The statement was issued through the Medical Protection Society, which provides professional indemnity for doctors.
Dr Alzayyat refused to comment further but her husband Nasim Osmani Subhi, a consultant obstetrician working in Ireland, said: "It's too upsetting for us to talk right now. It is a difficult time. We would like to be left alone."

Dr Alzayyat faces a General Medical Council investigation. Her contract with Great Ormond Street Hospital was terminated in May, nine months after Baby P's death.

The children's hospital runs the child development centre at St Ann's Hospital in Tottenham to which Baby P was taken by his mother on 1 August last year.

The mother, 27, her boyfriend and their lodger face lengthy jail terms after being convicted of causing or failing to prevent the toddler's death.

Dr Alzayyat, from Saudi Arabia, trained in Pakistan and Ireland. She is understood to be contesting the decision to effectively sack her. She is still free to work in the NHS but only if supervised pending the GMC inquiry. It is not thought she is working at the moment.

GP Jerome Kaine Ikwueke put paediatricians on "full alert" after Baby P was brought to him covered in bruises in December 2006, it emerged today. He refused to believe claims from the boy's mother that there were innocent explanations.

The doctor sent him to Whittington hospital-with a note saying: "He presents with an unexplained haematoma over the front of the skull. Bruises right shoulder, right breast and sternum and two-inch frontal haematoma with bluish colouration on the front of nose. Full alert. Thanks."

The hospital agreed the injuries were "non accidental" and social workers were alerted. Despite being put on a protection register the boy died eight months later.

I was done, but then I saw this. Excuse me, Rosiepops and Mum21, but FUCK YOU, YOU SORRY EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR. AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A PAEDIATRICIAN? YOU'RE DEVASTATED? FFS!

By the way, it is old news that Assassin is Shona etc etc...everybody already knows that. You obviously did not bother to read Assassin's comments on those links you provided. If you had of done you would have known without a shadow of doubt that Assassin is not Rosie or Supertroll. Have you ever seen Rosie or Supertroll use that Avatar? That Avatar belongs to Assassin and her other online names.
It is obvious you are miffed because you were banned from this forum...but that is your own fault. You were warned and warned about posting libellous comments about Gordon Brown and Mr Grimes. Whatever your beliefs are on these two people you cannot accuse them without proof. You were told that was the reason your comments were moved to the private area but still you would not give up. Because of this you then started attacking other members on this forum...which is not what I would call a quiet member(as you stated on your blog). The reason you were eventually banned was because you would not abide with the forum rules. Not Admin rules...but forumotion rules.

Evening all,

Oh, it's nice to be in a safe, friendly place. Having spent many hours of my life fighting the low-life Pros on the DX and the 3As, it's good to be purely amongst friends.

I was banned from the 3As yesterday. So much for a site which purports to strive for 'justice'.

The main driving force behind my posting anywhere over the past 18 months has been freedom of speech, which Clarence Mitchell and his string-pullers, the McCanns, have endeavoured so enthusiastically to muzzle, so isn't that an irony, that I'm now persona non grata on a site supposedly devoted to finding answers?

Hey ho. All part of life's rich tapestry.

My son was born in the Whittington Hospital. Yet another irony.

Doc, should we exchange email addresses for the sake of the penguins???

X LGC

docmac said...

Thanks to LA from 3As. This is not how I personally believe Maddie died (though the drugs were given IMO), but it is amazing that this Telegraph article never attracted a lawsuit and is still online!

Madeleine McCann died from an overdose of sleeping tablets, reports in a French newspaper claimed yesterday.

Guilhem Battut, an investigative reporter for the French tabloid France Soir, said Portuguese police had given prosecutors a file detailing how they thought Madeleine had died.

Battut - an experienced journalist who has worked on a number of major inquiries - claims police believe that evidence found in the McCanns' hire car will "prove that the little girl had ingested medicines, without doubt sleeping pills, in large quantities".

A source at the newspaper claimed: "We are not simply repeating rumours carried in other papers. This is not a theory, but a fact contained in hard evidence in the hands of the Portuguese authorities.

"It is all very well putting theories and opinions forward, but in the end this case will be decided on evidence. As journalists, we have been trying to establish what evidence is available."

DNA evidence which has reportedly been found in the hire car includes hair, blood and bodily fluids which match Madeleine's.

Police are said to want to examine the vehicle again. It is currently being kept in a safe place by the family who are considering having their own tests carried out on it as they strive to prove their innocence.

Portuguese police are said to be drawing up a list of 40 new questions that they want to put to Mrs McCann. But British forensic experts expressed doubts over the claim.

Alan Baker, of the independent forensic science organisation Bericon, said: "These samples are likely to be far from ideal. If it is just a smear or dried deposit you could detect the drug but not how much."

Last night friends of the family dismissed the latest speculation. Gerry McCann reportedly told a friend: "There are large craters in every one of these theories, in these ludicrous accusations.'

"As far as Kate and I are concerned there is no evidence to suggest that Madeleine is dead. We are 100 per cent together on this, not one grain of suspicion about each other."

Cláudia said...

Doc, that's what I thought. That it was not possible to miss something like that. :-(

Sorry to hear that your computer is playing up. I'm afraid that I'm not at all technically minded; my other half sorts out problems on ours.

As for little Peter, my opinion is the head of Haringey Services, as Docmac also said, should get her marching orders. And the useless doctor who is supposed to be a paediatrician should be struck off immediately. She is just a lazy cow in my opinion and if she had done her job properly little Peter would still be alive and being treated in a children's hospital, where they would have found out about all the other injuries this poor little mite sustained.

About his real father; I too don't understand why he had not tried to get custody as he must have noticed something was wrong whenever he looked after him. I certainly think he should be asked pertinent questions, because he must have known his son was on the 'at risk' register. It all beggars belief really doesn't it?

It's very sad to see what used to be a valuable resource and a good place of discussion imploding like this. I don't know WTF is going on over there now.

I will probably get banned too now! :-) Should've just stayed on here, really....

Hi folks.

I think the identities of Baby P and his killers are being kept secret because there is another trial going on.

It would be to make sure the accused can't complain that they didn't get a fair trial because the jury knew they had already been found guilty of killing Baby P.

hope4truth said...

Hi All

Rat something very strange is going on over at the 3As it is such a shame as it was a brilliant site...

The Mods argument was over something really silly and now they are trying to worry people about Jan and her new site even saying she is Clarrie's best friend????

I still cant belive that (cant remember which one) I will call him/her TWAT posted the link outing you they may as well have printed all your details themselves over there very worrying...

As for Martin Grime well his dogs are amazing with no false positives... Jersey have some serious important people to cover up for and why a couple of Dr's are being helped is beyond me and the only reason I can think they are being protected is to protect evil it's self....

It is odd that people are up in arms about baby Peter everyone has an opinion on the poor little boy some of these same people probebly donated to Madeleines fund and feel sorry for her parents yet she was neglected and her parents have done nothing to help find her which in my book makes them as evil as the people who caused Peters death.

What loving Mother would refuse to answer any questions for her daughter? And what loving parents would laugh so much on their Daughters 4th Birthday when they want the world to believe she is in the hands of peadophiles?

What a sick and sad world we live in... Thank god for M3 because by the looks of things loyalty is not something some of their staff suffer with and if there is money to be made in telling the truth they will jump at the chance...

xxx

hope4truth said...

JJ

The identities are being kept quiet so people cant identify their family...

If the family had no idea this little boy was being tortured then they should be left alone (not everyone keeps in touch with their parents and other family members)... And the police will keep them safe..

However if they had any idea what this little boy was going through Prison is to good for them...

I am against the death penalty and violence but I am afraid I can only take so much of the Victim mentality of anyone who breaks the law or decides it would be fun to hurt or kill a child and have lost all sympathy with any of them (not that i ever had sympathy for child killers)and if the fact they have been named makes any other coward who knows that a child is being abused worried in case they are named in the future do the right thing and call the police then that can only be a good thing.

Off now

nancy said...

Rat -

Sorry, I got it wrong, but glad that your voice will still be heard on 3A's at least .

JJ - thanks for letting us know that. Something I didn't hear before. I'm sure they will be screaming 'unfairness', the same as the McCanns and their pals with if ever they are brought to trial!

Hope - two sensible and heartfelt posts as usual from you.

I abhor violence too; am very anti-war, and I was over the moon when the death penalty was abolished, but I am beginning to change my stance on that because since abolition of the death penalty we seem to have decended into the law of the jungle and those bullies who were kept in check now use their bully boy tactics on all and sundry and the most vulnerable in society, i.e. children and the elderly, because they know they will never face the severest penalty there is.

If there is not going to be the death penalty for these butchers then life should mean life, which it doesn't at the moment because of our politically correct judiciary.

What a world we live in eh?

J J said...

Hope

I think if the family identity was being protected, Baby P's picture would not have been shown.

I think his killers names will be made public after the other trial has ended.
The third person convicted in the Baby P case is obviously not involved in the other case, so his name has been published.

His mother said she would be home before Christmas so hopefully that is when the other trial is over.
The judge has also said he will sentence them next month. So perhaps he is waiting for the other result as well.

Fingers crossed anyway. Truth will out eventually.

hope4truth said...

hey Nancy

I dont think the Death Penalty will be a detereant (look at the states) and when they stopped it for two years the murder rate went down..

Respect needs to be taught from an early age and if parents are letting their children down they need educating and no excuse for not attending parenting classes...

I am sick of people kicking someone to death and then apealing about an unfair sentance of 15 years and getting it reduced. I am all for rehabilitation but how about they also recive lessons in respect and accept that they are in there for a reason not because it is not fair...

If I was elected the first thing I would do is bring in a zero tollerece scheme and if someone is caught vandalising something give the police the power to take their phones Ipods expensive trainers and designer jackets from them and sell them to pay for the damage to be cleaned up Instant on the spot no court...

After their mates have finished laughing at them and they have to find the cash for new stuff maybe they will think twice about being a prat.

If they catch a thief go to their house and take the value of what they have taken and have the right to search the house if anything is there that should not be then a court apearence should be the next step...

If the police wanted to search my house they would be welcome (as long as they tidied up) I am all for Human Rights but when you take someone elses away why should you have any???

Off again life would be simple without meetings xxx

hope4truth said...

JJ

I hope the mother is not home for Christmas not only does she deserve to spend a lot of time in a jail cell I dont think she will live past Christmas if she is allowed out....

Not sure about anther trial (maybe) but this baby was murdered the fact they were not charged with this is wrong so the sentance had better be harsh or all the other scum will once again be told it is ok to treat children any way they want to...

Oh blimey I am late (I cant sack myself so it is ok LOL) xxx

Good morning everyone -

Some interesting articles in the McCann Files, one of which is a (translated) criticism by Paulo Sargent of the reaction by the McCanns and CM to GA's book. He is a forensic psychologist, university professor and author.

He talks about CM's intervention after a long silence by him and the McCanns which in his opinion deserves a few questions and comments:

First: Are the McCann waiting for the book to be translated into English language to satisfy themselves of it's contents? Haven't they read the book already? Didn't they have translators to do that?

Second: is Gt Britain a democratic country within Europe where the initiative to publish a given book is subject to the normal procedures under the publishing laws of any free counry in the civilised world, or not?
Or are threats to the freedom of expression allowed, as in some totalitarian countries? Do you remember the 'Satanic Verses' by Salman Rushdie and the consequent criticism of the Iranian counry?

Third: if the Portuguese lawyers developed no action of any kind against the said book they have certainly read, why would the English lawyers undertake such action? Will the English transform FACTS into libelous calumny?

Do the English lawyers have different competences from their Portuguese counterparts? Or is there no motive for any action? Or may the certain actions have consequences upstream and downstream?

(He ends with a few questions to CM)

Mr Clarence Mitchell

Dr. Goncalo Amaral also knows the law. He is a lawyer!

Mr. Clarence Mitchell

Dr. Goncalo Amarel is also well advised.

Mr. Clarence Mitchell

Just like the author himself has always stated and the archived process demonstrates, the book 'Truth of the Lie' does not contain any judgement, it contains the report of FACTS! The theory of Maddie's accidental death based on described facts is parsimonious and shared by a vast group of experts all over the world, including England!

Mr Clarence Mitchell

We all stop fearing the bogeyman when we grow up.

Therefore let us respect the memory of two little girls, Madeleine McCann and Joana Cipriano.
----------------------------------

So put that in your pipe and smoke it! (my words)!

Morning all

What pure agony for Baby P's social worker who, according to Panorama wanted him placed in Foster Care but got overruled by bosses who placed him with family. As we know, this led to his death. Foster care is of course very expensive. So, it would seem, these bosses did not think Baby P's health and safety was worth the cost. Why is it that the most heartless and callous people become social work managers? I met same in the Probation Service. The thing is the people who like doing the job and are good at it, do not care about more money and power, they just want to carry on doing the job. There should be greater incentives for decent people who can see beyond managerial targets and budgets to take on promotion and lead the so called caring services in a humanitarian way. But which government has been so into managerialism? The Labour Government = on this issue I seriously do part company with them!

The builders are finishing my house this morning, I just wish I could face all the work I now have. It would be nice to just carry on sitting here in Martin's flat blogging but it looks fantastic and I am very excited about it! So I must don some old clothes!

Extract from BBC re social worker wanted Baby P fostered:

A senior social worker and police did not want Baby P returned home where he suffered severe abuse, the BBC's Panorama has learned.

It found social worker Sylvia Henry wanted him to go into foster care after he was taken to a north London hospital in 2006 with non-accidental injuries.

But her bosses decided Baby P should be looked after by a family friend.

Hiya Nancy

Thanks very much for the comments of a forensic pyschologist confirming that of course Goncalo's book and the facts contained in support the view that Madeleine died. He is clearly an expert in the field whose opinion we can trust.

But most of all, I really wish to share his suggestion that everyone should start respecting the memory of two little girls, Joana and Maddie, rather than attempting to make perverse and sickening excuses for the parents who caused their deaths, this is a terrible insult to them.

JUSTICE FOR MADDIE AND JOANAXXXXX

nancy said...

Viv -

I agree totally.

I cannot understand the reasoning of why children who are on an 'at risk' register are not automatically put into safe hands, or at least safer than the ones they are already with. After all, if a child is at risk, then there is always the chance he or she is going to be living a cruel and desperately unhappy existence.

I know people claim that putting children in foster care sometimes brutalises them and there is the risk of sexual abuse etc, but at least they have chance of growing up and learning to live again.

As far as Social Workers are concerned, I do realise they are damned if they do and damned if they dont, but some of them should clearly look for other jobs because they are obviously unsuited to the job.

My granddaughter is studying to be a social worker at university at the moment and had her placement interview yesterday (her 22nd birthday). Now she is the kindest, sweetest natured girl you could ever meet, so in my opinion is not really cut out for the job because she will get so upset by the sight of neglected children, but at the same time she is a strong person and hopefully will be able to hold her own in time and also be able to cope with the town hall jobsworth types.

Let's hope those in charge have learned a lesson with baby P, but it's all been said before hasn't it?

Justice for Maddie and Joana and all abused and neglected children.

Baby P doctor facing inquiry describes shock at his death

The doctor accused of failing to notice that Baby P had a broken back and ribs has said she is shocked at the "tragic circumstances" of the child's death.

Dr Sabah al-Zayyat faces an investigation after she decided against a full examination of the 17-month-old because he was "miserable and cranky".

Baby P died two days later in his blood-spattered cot, having sustained more than 50 injuries at the hands of his mother, her boyfriend and their lodger.

A postmortem revealed that those injuries included a broken back and ribs, believed to have been sustained before Zayyat saw Baby P when his mother took him to the child development clinic at St Ann's hospital, north London, in August last year.

Zayyat had her contract terminated in May by Great Ormond Street hospital, which runs child services in the borough of Haringey, and has been banned from working unsupervised pending the result of an inquiry by the General Medical Council.

In a statement released by the Medical Protection Society, which gives professional indemnity to healthcare workers, Zayyat, 52, said: "Like everyone involved in this case, I have been deeply affected by the shocking and tragic circumstances of this young child's death.

"My professional career has been devoted to the care of children. I will cooperate with any investigation to identify whether lessons can be learnt from this case, but I feel it would be inappropriate to provide any further comment to the press at this time."

Zayyat trained in Ireland and Pakistan, where she qualified, and worked in Saudi Arabia before coming to Britain in 2004.

Her husband, Nasim Osmani Subhi, a consultant obstetrician working in Ireland, said: "It's too upsetting for us to talk right now. It is a difficult time."

It has emerged that three doctors raised concerns in the months before Baby P's death that his injuries were due to physical abuse.

One was Dr Jerome Kaine Ikwueke, a GP who sent the child to Whittington hospital after he was brought to him extensively bruised in December 2006.

"He presents with an unexplained haematoma over the front of the skull. Bruises right shoulder, right breast and sternum and two-inch frontal haematoma with bluish colouration on the front of nose. Full alert," he wrote in a note to paediatricians at the hospital.

The failure of child protection agencies in Haringey to prevent Baby P's death has prompted calls for an independent inquiry and the resignation of senior officers at Haringey council, including its leader, George Meehan.

At a highly charged meeting of the council last night, Meehan dismissed calls for his resignation but made a "heartfelt and unreserved" apology on his own and the council's behalf.

"There is no failure to recognise our accountability; we do so and await the report of the (government) review," he said.

Oh, get lost, woman. You failed in your 'devotion to the care of children'. I hope you never work anywhere near children again. Take Mr Meehan with you. And that revolting Shoebottom woman. FFS!

docmac said...

Rant over. I had already gone to bed and then had to get up. This was waiting for me in the form of an e-mail. Made my blood boil, it did.

And by the way, Dr Zayyat:

In a statement released by the Medical Protection Society, which gives professional indemnity to healthcare workers, Zayyat, 52, said: "Like everyone involved in this case, I have been deeply affected by the shocking and tragic circumstances of this young child's death.

No it doesn't. There is no universal indemniy offered in cases where negligence can be proved by a panel of peers. If I could, I would be a witness against you. You're a disgrace!

Good Morning All

Thank you again to all who have sent their best wishes following my recent difficult journey. My personal life has certainly taken a lift in the last few days.

I am ploughing through the possessions I retrieved to sort them into keep or throw. My sister (who is the very opposite of a hoarder) and my new lady are helping with the task. I have however had to buy new storage units for the "keep" pile.

Enough of me, back to subject matter.

I am saddened to see the rift that has developed in 3A. I don't know if I am overstating things but the two sides seem broadly to be ex DX Forum members and ex Mirror Forum members. It is difficult to be exact as many ex DX members use different screen names to those they used then.

On the subject of Baby P, I have expressed my views on him and his sadistic torturers in the past. One aspect which is almost a side issue is that the failings of Dr Zayyat is fuelling the prejudice of those who consider ALL immigrants working in the Health Care sector to be totally incompetent. They conveniently forget the high profile cases of "True Brits" who have been castigated by the GMC.

I have another busy day ahead, so I will get back to sorting.

dylan said...

ICTOAN, so glad you are feeling better about things. It seems you have embraced a brighter future and so I wish you all the best:-)

Docmac, I agree. That doctor is a disgrace, no two ways about it. Miserable and cranky are not reasons to not examine a child. I went into hospital with xxxxx as I had post - natal complications. Whilst we were there, xxxxx devloped a fever and a rash. The doctors decided they needed to do a blood test and at only a few days old, the poor girl was screaming through their attempts. It took half an hour but they got the blood eventually & I didn't hear them say, "well, let's just leave it, she is obviously miserable and cranky!"
Unbelievable excuse coming from a professional, IMO.

Baby P’s broken back and ribs missed by Dr Sabah al-Zayyat 2 days before his death. This doesn’t surprise me at all – welcome to the London Borough of Haringey the “the twilight zone”.

Shocking as this case is it is only the tip of the iceberg.

Wizard said...

Hi All,

I was just mentioning the London Borough of Haringey as being the twilight zone well…Joan Morais is now showing ‘haunting’ evidence of Madeleine abduction.
link

Keep cool and calm if you watch them because they most certainly will raise your blood pressure.

nancy said...

Hi Wizard,

I watched all five parts and all I can say is those three mediums are very good actors and no doubt made a few bob with their 'sightings'! Definitely pro McCann and could have been staged just for their benefit.

And as would be expected, they saw the abductor as a 'swarthy' type - that was a foregone conclusion in view of the fact that most of the sightings involved someone of that appearance!

They got one bit wrong though - the man carried Maddie over his shoulder while the man Jane Tanner saw carried her across his chest!

If they managed to locate where she was taken, why couldn't they find where she was buried?

I think we can definitely take their stories with a good pinch of salt.

ratonthebeam said...

I got put off in the first minute. They left Madeleine in a "hotel room" and had dinner in a restaurant "across a courtyard". It didn't exactly fill ME with confidence that they couldn't even get these basic facts right! :-) :-) :-) And the "abductor" has AV in his name? Errrr... "Dave", parhaps?

Hi Rat -

So many people trying to make money out of Madeleine's sad demise; the biggest perpetrators being her parents and so called friends of course. Just how do they sleep at night.

Yet we never hear the McCanns pointing a finger at any of these charlatans - the only one they fear and are trying to silence is Goncalo Amaral - we all know the reason for that of course.

I can't wait to see GA's book when it's finally published in the UK. I hope it sells out overnight and I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

I haven't bought one thing yet for Christmas - I suppose it will be the last minute rush as usual. How time flies by these days!

I'm going to turn in myself - it's been a long day!

Good night everyone.

Morning All

Oh dear god those videos LOL thanks for the link Wizard I only got half way through the first one thinking if this wasnt so bloody tragic it would be hysterical.

Nancy you are so right why have they not condemed this as Rat says they could not even get the facts right in the first few minutes...

As for the AV bit Rat Mentions and Dave LOL...

I wonder what will happen to everyone who has been working very hard to get the McCann's off the hook when they meet St Peter at the pearly gates???

I can see it now "Err where do you think you are going? You had the nerve to neglect your children and then do nothing to help find Madeleine" "Why was this? Did you know there was no point or worse still did you belive she was in the hands of a peadophile ring but did not think she deserved honest answers or any answers to questions asked?"

When will this farce end ans some dignatiy be restored to poor little Madeleine???

nancy said...

Good morning Hope (and everyone)

I think that whenever they reach those pearly gates they will try to lie their way out once again and St. Peter or whoever is on guard duty will send them off in the complete opposite direction to where the sun doesn't shine, but the fires burn brightly.

I read this morning that it is going to cost the taxpayer millions defending little Peter's murderers and that amount will be equalled to make sure the mother is kept in a safe house well away from vigilantes when she comes out; possibly within five years as she's alredy been a while inside.

At least these child killers will make sure the lawyers will get even richer. I don't know how anyone can defend these sort of monsters!

Incidentally, the evil bitch has given birth to another poor little mite who I hope ends up with people who will give him or her all the love little Peter didn't get.

The lodger involved has, allegedly, already had razor blades passed under his cell door with a message -'do it yourself or we'll do it for you'! He should count himself lucky he's not 18 months old!.

Beautiful day here today, but absolutely freezing!

docmac said...

Hello Nancy

You know, considering the scale of social networking sites these days one wonders if these safe houses, identity changes and other protective measures are actually going to be effective for much longer. Her face is already out there and unlike those of the Jamie Bulger killers is unlikely to change much over the next 5 years. Many people who use these sites know someone who knows someone...

mandarinn said...

Good morning all
I feel so heartbroken when i get knowledge about this evil things against children that i cant read the details. What happened to this corgeous and touching baby is so evil that goes over the limits ican bear to know.
What happen with UK authorities that seems more concerned in proptect the adults, their reputations and confort then the defenceless children . What i can see is the most envolved with the children is those cases are the citizens, not the authorities.
IMO

docmac said...

Hi Mandarinn

Well, I can read the details, unfortunately.

I see the authorities protecting their own kind before anyone else. Which makes your last sentence so true.

nancy said...

Hi Docmac -

I think you are probably right, but surely the authorities must realise that too, so why spend millions that could be spent on helping children in desperate need on trying to protect scum like her and the others who are still being protected.

That woman who helped the Soham murderer, Maxine Carr, is still being looked after in a safe house. And little Jamie Bulger's two child murderers have gone off to freedom after their dastardly crime. The same with the child killer Mary Bell! Enough is enough I say! They should never be released and perhaps that would be a deterrent to other like minded sadistic saddos.

It seems that the taxpayer, who are the ones to foot the bill, are the last to be consulted on where there money goes.

I hope they all rot in hell quite frankly and anyone else who harms a child and then goes on to defend themselves to high heaven.

I don't give a damn about their so called human rights. They lost the right to those when they decided to kill children.

Good afternoon everyone

Sorry I have not been around, my laptop problems were not able to be fixed by Dell, 3 hours on the phone so expecting a huge bill :o((

I have had to back up all my files to an external hard drive in readiness for Dell ringing me back :o)) My laptop had to be returned to factory settings. Unfortunately when reset my wireless connection would not work. Dell rang me back again this morning and after another 2 hours, at least there expense, finally I am up and running.

Forgive me for not staying around I have many things to sort out. I will read back when I can and hopefully will look in tomorrow.

Hope you are all well.

x

Di said...

oops their expense

docmac said...

Agreed Nancy

The names of Maxine Carr, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson and Mary Bell are still deeply ingrained in the public psyche.

I've just got a hunch this woman and the stepfather are going to tracked down though. IMO the lodger won't make it out of prison in anything like the state he went in, if at all.

docmac said...

Oh you and your computers, Di :-)))

Have a great afternoon!

hope4truth said...

Hello ALL

I have just been reading about Baby Ps Mother and the cost to the tax payers re her new identity...

She is not a victim of a crime she is a murderous bitch. Should she be worried about her life after being released from prison maybe it is in her best intrests to stay in jail for the rest of her sorry life locked in isolation so the other prisoners cant get to her.

Enough is enough Human Rights well if you take away someone elses I am damned why you should retain all of your own?

Karen Mathews is trying to worm her way out of what she did to Shannon well tough luck even without a verdict I know she is guilty as hell and for her own saftey should go to jail for a very long time...

Maybe the only protection any child abuser/killer should get is the newspapers should be banned from Identifying them when they leave jail...

A name change maybe (that cant cost much) a ban on working with children (lets face it lots of people are on the sex ofenders register and they dont have police protection) but no police protection let the police do thier jobs catching evil scum like this and locking them up.

Give victims of crime a chance and let those who think they can do as they please a firm NO by locking them up and not making it a holiday for them...

docmac said...

Wow, you're on the warpath, Hope! Totally agree, let her rot. It's not going to happen though :-(

docmac said...

Footer time. Helps take the mind off these dastardly deeds and the people who commit them.

BBFN.

Hi all,

What an utter disgrace that one penny should be spent on protecting that evil mother of baby P. Baby P and other vunerable children should have money spent protecting them. What did that little boy get in life from the authorities that should have stepped in and protected him, a fkn fireguard and probably the little boy was injured by that on many occassion when used as punchbag by his mother, step father and lodger. The money that is wasted in this country is appalling!

hope4truth said...

Doc

LOL

I am so sick of people thinking they can do as they please, deface property mug people and take what they please or break into peoples homes and steal their hard earned goods and if a homeowner dares to push or shove them and they hurt themselve along come the police to arrest the homeowner???

Zero Tolerence and if a child is below the age of arrest fine the parents and make them attend parenting classes and make sure the children get to learn right from wrong. I am sick of hearing parents say "how am I supposed to keep them in"? Cretins....

I dont belive we should take the law into our own hands but if someone did find the mother of baby P and beat the hell out of her they would probebly get a longer sentance than she does. A baby cant fight back at least she would have a chance to defend herself.

Our country is going down the drain children dont matter and the parents who neglect or kill their child are protected and sometimes even rewarded for their evil behaviour!!!!!!!!!!!

nancy said...

Hope -

Spot on - criminals, be they adults or youngsters, seem to warrant more protection than the general public most of whom are hardworking and look after their children the way they should.

Another thing I read today is that a terrorist who was involved in making bombs and planning an attack on the public was actually attending comedy classes inside. Can you believe that?

Jack Straw (for once) decided to pull the plug on that one thankfully.

They say the law is an ass and I have to agree that there are more than a fair share of donkeys amongst those who should be protecting the public from criminals.

Nancy

Night Nancy

In case I forget to post this tomorrow, note that RP has yet ANOTHER alias (Sadie). Apparentlly English, but trying desperately(and rather poorly) to sound Portuguese.

Then he speaks of 'partial abductions'. What in the world are those? Apparently GA is particularly weak at picking up this sort of crime. LOL!

Sleep well.

docmac said...

No response as yet from Sadiepops. It's a MEDICAL term FFS!

Occasionally used in another context by various psychic weirdos trying to earn some cash.

No wonder GA is weak in this area. He is neither medically trained nor stupid, stupid.

Ah well, had to wait up for the possible response. Zzzz :-))

Cláudia said...

Busy times here.
Boa noite, all.
Viv, where are you? :-)

nancy said...

Good morning all -

Docmac -

Saddie more like!

RP has more faces than a chamelion!

GA doesn't need to worry about the likes of Saddie - he's eaten scarier people than that one for breakfast I'm sure!

Off for a walk now in the frozen Suffolk countryside to a car boot sale, that's if anyone turns up in this below zero weather.

The ducks at the front are going mad because their pond is completely frozen over.

See you later.

Cláudia said...

Hello, all.
Here the weather is still quite good but it seems temperatures will drop soon.
Enjoy your Sunday!

mandarinn said...

good morning
I feel preoccupied about the ducks. What happen to them when the water freeze completly?

nancy said...

I've just lost a post in cyberspace, but this is the gist of it.

A question about Madeleine's time spent in the Kid's Club - translated from the French on the McCann Files. Makes interesting reading.

It talks of forged signatures; forged pieces of writing and manipulation of documents, and it sets out anomalies in the Case File.

On 1st May Gerry dropped Maddie off at 9.30am and after spending the morning playing tennis, he picked her up at 12.20am. Gerry dropped Maddie off at 2.30 pm. He spends his afternoon again, according to the register, playing tennis and at the swimming pool. Oddly, nobody went back to fetch Maddie in the evening! No signature for the evening of May 1st 2007. Why?

And why did Nanny Catriona Baker sign in the space for pick up by the parents on the 2nd May, even though Kate was supposed to have dropped Maddie off and picked her up.

Another strange thing - Catriona Baker was invited to the McCann's home in November 2007, "to see how all of us were doing".
----------------------------------

(Or could there have been a much more pertinent reason!)

nancy said...

Hi Mandarinn!

I guess the ducks just wait for the sun to come out and melt the ice, but I just keep chucking bread and seeds out! I make my own bread so they get no additives!!!

I went out for a nice long walk in the snow (my husband thinks I'm nuts, but I love it).

mandarinn said...

Joana Morais blog has athread about the time Maddy spent in kids club, all in english.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy and Mandarinn!

Mandarinn, thanks for telling us.

Nancy, you have got snow? You have no idea how I envy you! I love snow. Here, it hasn't snowed properly for more than a dozen years! I was still in high school. I miss it!

nancy said...

Mandarinn -

Thanks for that - I'll go and have a look! Lots of discrepancies if you ask me!

Claudia -

You and I are probably in the minority. I supposed it take me back to my childhood when it seemed to snow each winter and be scorching all summer!

Cláudia said...

Nancy, I just love snow. And it also takes me back to my childhood. :-)

mandarinn said...

Hey Claudia and Nancy, it is not that nice when the snow melt.. and when it freeze and you can't walk without a stick...

Hi folks!

I have just returned from a weekend of badly needed R&R at my parents and it looks like I have a lot of reading to do :-)

Docmac, thanks for your advice. Litlun's doctor confirmed what you said but it was such a relief not to have to wait that long and worry! So you are going away for a whole 10 weeks? What will we do without you? :( Wherever you're going I wish you and your family well and I'll miss your posts. xxxx

Will have a read back this evening and see what I've missed.

docmac said...

Hi all

Firstly, thank you jj for the link. It is not complete, so here it is for anyone else who wants to see the very interesting reflection in Gerry's sunglasses!

Secondly, in explanation of my post last night. Having received a tidy advance I decided it would be nice to pack all the research into a large briefcase and head up to our beach house to start writing the drafts for the new book. Next thing wife and youngest decided it would be much better to do the whole thing there so they could tag along :-)

So tomorrow we're off to Churchaven (no Dyl, not that one ;-), about 45 mins north of here. It's quite possibly the smallest village in the Western Hemisphere, situated on the shores of (as far as I know) the largest lagoon, with the Atlantic Ocean behind. IMO it's also the most beautiful setting for a village anywhere, but I'm biased :-) It is incorporated within the West Coast National Park so we occasionally get disturbed by various kinds of wild animals eating the dog food if we forget to bring it inside.

Will spend the mornings working, afternoons swimming, fishing, walking and messing about on boats and evenings making merry with neighbours and drinking some red wine. The whole process should take 10 to 14 weeks, depending on how disciplined I am :-) Deadline is mid-March, so there's no rush. Older kids will come out on weekends and spend a month there from mid December.

As I said I will not be reading or posting on blogs during that time. Or watching TV. Or drinking white wine or beer. Or even taking my cellphone. The Park has no electricity and the owners of houses there certainly do not want it. It is very peaceful :-))). I have LOTS of ballpoint pens in that briefcase :-)

I will be thinking of Maddie and Baby P though, as well as those who fight for their cause. That would of course include all of you. I sincerely hope that when we return it will be to the news of a new prosecutor having been appointed in Portugal and that he or she will have reviewed the evidence and come to a different conclusion.

Justice for Maddie and Baby P.

docmac said...

Hi Dyl

Hope you're feeling better. It was my pleasure. I'll e-mail you a pic in a moment. The view coming into Churchaven. Beautiful, eh?

docmac said...

Talking about places:

Claudia, we spent the afternoon swimming, BBQ'ing and having a laugh at a colleagues house. Hadn't seen him in a while. Reached over to get the condiment rack and noticed the mat under it had a picture of Oporto on it.

When asked he said he'd been to a conference there in early May 2007. I then asked if he'd heard of Maddie and he said it happened while he was there :-( And he felt so sorry for the parents! :-(((

Well he didn't any more after just a few minutes :-))

docmac said...

And to LGC

I never did get your mail address and it would appeear you did not get mine. Of course it does not matter for the next couple of months now, but you could e-mail Claudia at the e-mail address she displays on her blog and she will pass it on for sure.

I'm glad I got back from my son's in time to wish you a very nice ten weeks break in Churchaven! Sounds very English that! I hope you manage to get that book written too - imagine that, writing with biros instead of the computer. That should relieve you of the stress we all get whenever the damn computer plays up! Don't forget to let us know when it gets published too - trouble is, if RP gets his way no publisher will touch you with a barge pole!!

We'll all miss you!

docmac said...

Thank you very much, Lia! We'll do our very best to have a good time :-)

Best wishes to you and yours for Christmas too. And thank you for reminding me I had forgotten to put that in my post! It still seems so far away it slipped my mind.

Best wishes to all over the festive season and for 2009.

Thanks Hope

Just take the letter from Carter *uck out of it's beak before you send him on his way :-)))

And to you, Nancy

Thanks also. Well it does sound English, doesn't it? There's one in Norfolk, that's why I mentioned it to Dyl above ;-) I've been there too! The book is not sold to the public, but to Governments :-)

nancy said...

Docmac -

Thanks for the link.

The photo of Madeleine on the altar doesn't show Gerry's elbow at all does it? Yet the photo round the pool shows his elbow practically touching Madeleine's sunhat.

I am a bit confused about his sunglasses reflection though. Just why was the pool reflected in that strange way?

Many people think that photo was a fake and surely they can't all be wrong!

Have Kate and Gerry ever made a comment on people's reactions to the photo I wonder.

nancy said...

Docmac -

I know Norfolk and one day, perhaps in the spring when the weather is a bit more inclement, I shall look up Churchaven myself.

Whoever your book is written for, I hope you sell enough to put something in the kitty for your retirement (long time yet I know!)

Happy Christmas to you and your obviously devoted family!
