SKY MASSIVE LIBEL PAYOUT FOR COMPARING ROBERT MURAT TO IAN HUNTLEY

Hi All, Since my return from Egypt I note there is some news that has pleased me immensely. In addition to the £600,000 libel damages from a selection of other papers, Robert has now received an undisclosed amount from Sky who were singled out and dealt with separately for what was undoubtedly just about the worst example of libel that there could be, a direct comparison to evil child murderer Ian Huntley, all in support of the sickening claim by Kate and Gerry McCann that Madeleine was supposedly abducted and here was the poor man they were seeking to blame for this, not allowing his girlfriend Michaela to escape this evil behaviour either. WE even had a piece in the articles from the Daily Express, now of course, all removed, where Kate McCann herself was claiming he had a case to answer, her low level of human behaviour or downright audacity seemingly knows no bounds. This news outlet if one could call it that the McCanns signed an exclusive deal with and none of us will forget the outrageous claims from the McCanns and their family that were peddled in cognisance of exclusive access to the gruesome twosome and their hitherto useless Pink Spinster.

For libel on this scale one could almost guarantee that Robert Murat has received at least half a million pounds from Sky taking the total amount he has now received to over one million pounds. If ever a person deserved such a massive payout it is this man and his family. No one can imagine what being the McCann's Patsy for such a long time must have truly been like, villified by their "supporters" such as "Rosiepops" as a sickening paedophile and far worse still. I also believe it is a measure of justice that the gruesome twosome, in spite of everything that was written about them received just £275,000 each, a small fraction of what Robert received. There is a simple reason for this, he is a totally innocent man who they are their friends fiercely tried to blame for Madeleine's disappearance. In stark contrast, even on their own account, although they cannot even accept it, they are responsible for the disappearance of Madeleine, who the Portuguese authorities have confirmed in no uncertain terms died in their apartment. They left their children every single night they were there, all night, every night. But somehow Gerry and Kate McCann do not accept any responsibility, no claims Gerry it was just like being in their back garden, even though those children cried pitifully for parents who did not give a damn, it was a garden where these two sad excuses for parents were oblivious to their cries and when seeking to explain Kate smirks with abandoned disdain as she describes Madeleine's complaints that they were just left to cry. So, if anyone is wondering why they only managed to con £275,000 each from just one newspaper group who ondoubtedly went over the top, whereas Robert got over a million from several media outlets, now you know the reason why, they were culpable they were to blame and they have told a lot of lies. All Robert ever did was act like a decent citizen, but their pals who flew back to have another go at Robert in July 2007 had the gall to also stand on the steps of the High Court complaining they were libelled! Gerry in yet another of his by now classical slips states they always intended to give the money to the Fund. Yes Gerry we know, you and your pals cynically ripped off the covers of Madeleine's books and plotted and schemed that very night how you would get libelled and make a mint. But you have not kidded anyone, we will continue to make sure of that.

LOVE AND BEST WISHES TO ROBERT MURAT AND HIS FAMILY AND A HOPE YOU CAN BEGIN TO FORGET THE TERRIBLE HURT AND DISRUPTION TO YOUR LIFE

LOVE TO ALL INNOCENT ABUSED CHILDREN AND MAY THEY IN THE END GET THE JUSTICE THEY TRULY DESERVE

MADELEINE YOUR PARENTS MAY HAVE FELT ABLE TO LAUGH JUST A FEW DAYS AFTER YOU HAD GONE BUT WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU

Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat accepts libel damages from BSkyB
Robert Murat has accepted substantial undisclosed libel damages from BSkyB over an allegation that there were strong grounds for believing that he was guilty of abducting Madeleine McCann.

By Daily Telegraph reporter Last Updated: 2:22PM GMT 14 Nov 2008

Mr Murat was made a formal suspect two weeks after Madeleine's disappearance Photo: REUTERS
Mr Murat, 34, was not at London's High Court for the settlement of his action against British Sky Broadcasting Ltd.
He had previously received a record settlement of £600,000 over "seriously defamatory" allegations in nearly 100 articles connecting him with the abduction.
He had sued Associated Newspapers, Express Newspapers, MGN Limited and News Group Newspapers.
His solicitor Louis Charalambous told Mr Justice Eady that an article and video on the Sky News website claimed that in the early days after Madeleine's disappearance from Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007, Mr Murat's behaviour was reminiscent of child murderer Ian Huntley.
The article, which was published until April this year, and the video, which was accessible until this September, also suggested that Mr Murat had deliberately tried to mislead journalists by pretending to be acting in an official capacity for the police.
Victoria Shore, counsel for BSkyB, which is also paying Mr Murat's costs, made an unreserved apology for publishing the false allegations, and the distress caused.
Mr Charalambous told the judge that the allegations were entirely untrue and it was accepted that Mr Murat had no involvement whatever in the abduction of Madeleine.
"The defendant accepts that Mr Murat did not act like a child murderer nor did he try to mislead or lie to any journalists.
"It acknowledges that Mr Murat's actions after the abduction were entirely proper and were motivated by a desire to help find Madeleine McCann."
He said that Sky's apology would appear on its website for 12 months.
Ms Shore said that it very much regretted the distress caused by the publications.
Outside court, Mr Charalambous said that the settlement represented the final stage of Mr Murat's claims against those sections of the British media "which defamed him so terribly".
"He has been entirely successful and vindicated.
"He could never have brought any of these claims without the use of conditional fee agreements which gave him access to justice.
"It was particularly important to him to nail this particular lie - that he acted in some way reminiscent to the Soham murderer Ian Huntley when, in fact, he was working flat out to help try to find Madeleine."

It's an update to the book with new additions. We've sold enough of the previous two editions to 'feed' quite a few kitties already. I retired earlier this year. All profits now go to a number of selected charities, all of them dedicated to the wellbeing of children.

Doc, did you appreciate my act of generosity, letting you write post number 401? See, that's how much I like you!!!

Doc

Congratulations on turning the page, especially as it is your last chance for some time.

I hope you and yours have a wonderful time away and enjoy Christmas with what I hope is a lot of sunshine and warmth unlike us in the Northern Hemisphere who will be freezing our ***** off (well the men anyway).

And also, judging by some pictures I saw of the east of England earlier this weekend, I should think you meant less inclement ;-) Hope so, for your sake :-))

Hi ICTOAN

It's getting hotter by the day. And the lagoon is not very deep, even though it's very big, so the swimming is always lovely and warm. Thank you.

As you have a new love interest I suggest you keep your ***** in a sock. Until needed of course :-)

Hi Doc!

Well, I wish you well with your tome! If you'd like some advice about how to put off the writing (cleaning bathrooms, walking the cats, cleaning the bananas), do let me know and I'll pass on all the stuff I do...

Don't understand why our email addies didn't cross in the night, but I'll do as you suggested.

Happy Christmas one and all!

Happy Christmas to Opus. Or is he a Jewish penguin?

That article does not give enough detail for me to comment, really. If I could hazard an opinion I would say the coroner was correct and that the father was fleshing it out a little. Having said that, the bit about having to scribble queries on a paper towel, if true, is quite horrendous!

LGC and Doc, problem solved!

Docmac, lol! I may have to wait until next summer (N Hemi) to look at that photo or I'll be blue with envy - literally! Weather here is ffffreezing, outside is white and silppery and although I have my heating on, I have to open my fridge door to raise the temperature in here!
Have a lovely time - you deserve it, and a very merry Christmas to you and yours too. Good luck with the writing. xxx

Re the pool picture - there is definitely an elbow missing! There's no wall - hump missing/not missing, (just an optical illusion I think) and the shades reflection could be the correct pool orientation, but that elbow.......

Goodnight everyone, sleep well. xx

Well I never! I've just read that LGC and Librarising are a married couple! How on earth did I miss that before? Both getting attacked on 3A for posting on some other forum which I have never heard of.

Oh well, if you still read here LGC say hi to Libra from me :-)

Monday, 17 November 2008 22:04:00 o'clock GMT

I didn't know Notdoc was married to Little Grey Cell, he kept that one quiet. I see he has taken up speaking to himself these days too, not surprising really as no one else wants to listen to him, he is so boring and predictable, 'aren't you hairy ears?' I wonder if we should start calling him by his correct name of 'Librarising?' (After all, it is the only thing he has rising these days!)

Oh lordy! LOLOL!

Doc-

I'm up early, so just in case you are having one more look at the blog, have a safe journey and do what you do do well, as they say!

I didn't know you had retired - must have been an early one cos you sound much younger than me!

hope4truth said...

Oh LOL

RP you are a bloody idiot god knows what your agenda is but you have lost it completly...

Librarising isnt Doc Mac you fool but LGC and Libs are married and the pair of them have more compasion and inteligence in their little fingers than you could ever hope to have...

Is this the best you can do??? Madeleine McCann was let down by every person she was on holiday with NEGLECT is nothing to be proud of or something you can talk your way out. And her Mother bloody hell she would not help her abducted daughter at all by refusing to answer a single question she has shown me that any sympathy I ever had for her was wasted as she obviously has none for her missing child.

The campaign has done the McCanns no favours whatsoever the hate spite dirty words and bullying from people who pretend to be concerned for a child when in fact are only there to make sure her parents get away with all they have done...

Doc must really get to you all the tripe you write about him what does he know that you are so afraid of??? I dont know Doc have no reason to believe or disbelive what he says but you make me believe that he must be speaking the truth for you to get so upset about him...

LGC and Libs came to dinner here yesterday and we have been to their house and actually I got an invite to LGCs work which was very exciting and have also seen where libs works and it is not a hospital or even a small surgery...

Keep going RP maybe other people may belive your tripe but i know first hand now that you are talking rubbish and are so desprate to discredit Doc you must be very worried...

Poor Madeliene in the hands of a peadophile ring after being abducted because her parents thought the Bar was more important than their 3 children aged 3 and under. Mummy would not answer questions Daddy has no reason to belive she has been harmed and the Tapas 7 would not help out in a reconstruction and lied about seeing Robert Murat that night...

Just look at the picture of the happy pair at the top of this page it shows just how concerend they were on what would have been their daughters 4th birthday???

Leaving in about an hour. Thank you. I'm in my mid 40s. Look after yourself.

Spot on!

I think I am a pretty good judge of character, and I would far rather be blogging here with our crowd than with those in the unmentionable blog!

At least we are fighting to get justice for Madeleine, but all they want to do is try to discredit everyone on here.

Well, they can continue their defamatory remarks until the cows come home - nobody on here gives a fig!

hope4truth said...

DOc have a good trip...

Very Mild but I was laughing so much when I read your post Idiot was as strong a word I could come up with xxx

hope4truth said...

Hi Nancy

They must be getting desprate LOL..

It is sad that Madeleine is being disrespected by the people that say they are their to support her...

I never belive any of the rubbish they write but this time they have proved just how stupid they really are...

Had a lovely day with both LGC and Libs yesterday both of them are an open book which is why we get on so well...

Libs has never pretended to be a Dr..

EVery post they make leaves me thinking they are hiding something truly horrific and at the begining of this sorry story I went from thinking they were wrong for leaving the children to beliveing their had been an accident or over sedation.

Now I fear something truly evil happend to a defensless 3 year old child and with every comment and spite filled words that come from their supporters my fear grows.

As the criminal profiler said SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP or dont because Madeleine deserves justice and the more they say the quicker it will happen.

xxx

nancy said...

Hello Hope -

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself with LGC and Librarising - you only have to read their posts to see they are both very genuine people, like yourself.

I must say that as time passes, I am beginning to despair that the tragic disappearance of little Maddie will ever be solved. There is so much secrecy surrounding this case and only a fool wouldn't notice that.

But some things can change overnight and it only takes one of the many important discrepancies in the McCann' and the tapas pals' statements to get into the public domain for their false facades to come tumbling down. They must be highly nervous even though they are being well protected from high circles.

hope4truth said...

Hi Nancy

I think that is what RP cant understand there is no reason for us to post at all and most of us have never blogged before or will again...

It was very obvious from early on that something was very wrong with what they were saying and their attitude was bizare...

Would any of us write some of the things we have about parents of a missing child? Anytime a child has gone missing it is hearbreaking and as a parent you think my god I am so lucky my children are safe and you give them an extra hug and often watch the news to see if the child has been found.

Something was very wrong with this especialy shots like the one at the top of this page. I also found the buggy one disturbing. They have another child of around the same age as Maddie in it with one of the twins and they actually look like they are having the time of their lives...

The neglect alone would normaly have papers slating them and digging up their past and normal parents would have been berating themselves for being so selfish. This is where they went wrong they should have been upset for leaving her alone and admited how wrong that was and let all the papers have their say...

I would still think they were wrong for the neglect but would have felt for them and belived she had been taken..

Just had an e mail from LGC who found RPs post hysterical and signed off Mrs NotDoc LOL xxx

Hello guys moved back in and just got the internet back on. Have decorated the one end and Nanday thinks it is all a bit strange.

Have read back a bit, to 401 which Doc snook, Doc where are you going, I will miss you x

Unknown said...

Hiya Claudia!

Well it is not a bit cold here, there are gritter lorries flying around the lanes so they clearly expect a bad one and earlier there was even a bit of snow/hale. The new radiators seem to be doing the job though, I am lovely and warm:-)))

First time I have had a nice sit down for a few days, but that should work off the holiday puddings a bit x

dylan said...

Hi Viv,

Good to see you back and all settled in to your lovely, newly done-up house :-)) I am sure Nanday will get used to it once he realises it is preferable to that awful, multi-storey, grey council flat you used to live in ;-)

Hope, unfortunately, I didn't see any of that chocolate and it's not likely that I will. They are all nicely wrapped and in the fridge but I'm guessing all that effort will have been eaten by the time that I am up in the morning. The little blighters only need a 5 minute window!

Good night Claudia.

Nancy, ask Viv for my email. You're not far away from where I live and I could maybe meet you on the N/S border some time if I can dare to stray into Ipswich territory!

xx

Unknown said...

Hiya Dilly

Well yes what a leg up from that grey council flat, it was so nice of the council to do all this for me:-))

The kitchen is still the most terrible mess and Nanday is finding it all a little odd. I just took him a ride on my shoulder and he was having a curious gaze around the kitchen as if to say well I sort of recognise it but was it all this stuff everywhere, I just cannot quite work it out..poor baby! I think it is going to be sometime before we are looking really clean and tidy again. The builders said they swept up all nicely for us but there is a half inch of thick dust over everything in my office and the kitchen and when getting dressed I have to make sure my trousers do not scrape on the filty floor. For now we are just concentrating on cleaning and decorating this fantastic big living room but the drawback is -such a lot to decorate! We have been a fetched the oak flooring and Luke Martin and I are going to put it down because it is quite easy to do but still hard work and Luke is back at work tomorrow! Poor lad will have a lot to do when he gets home.

We have not got around to downloading the hol pics yet but will put some up soon.

Love viv x

hope4truth said...

Hi Viv

Welcome back if you find you have lots of dust get a steamer and spray the air it makes it all settle...

Pleased your home is nearly finished...

Dyl take the choc to bed with you :o)

I am off to bed see you all soon xxx

dylan said...

Hi Viv,

I'll look forward to seeing your pictures, please put them up soon :-)))

Although it's a lot of work to do, it'll all be worth it in the end - just ask Claudia :-)
As for Luke having to help out, well you don't get a dog and bark yourself, do you?? Just kidding! (and don't tell Luke I said that!)

Laura made a new cat bed for Chilli yesterday and placed it next to the radiator. Unfortunately, my older cat likes it too and has pinched it for herself. Last night she put up with chilli sleeping next to her but only after a lot of hissing and general disdain. Tonight, it's all hers and she has relegated the kitten to the washing basket! She's sleeping there right now but has her eye half open and is staring at me as if she knows I'm typing about her! I'm sure Nanday will get used to his new surroundings. He sounds like a canny little parrot that one! He's probably busy sussing out what new mischief he can get into!

Off to bed now. Sleep well. xx

dylan said...

Hope, I would but I'd probably eat it in my sleep!!! I ruined a wedding cake once that was kept in my room whilst we were staying with my cousin. She had made the cake from scratch and I dreamed that I had got up, walked over to it, dragged my fingers across it and eaten what I scraped off of it. The next morning I awoke feeling relieved it was only a dream, only to find five messy furrows through the icing! I was mortified and afraid that they wouldn't believe me. Luckily they did and although the wedding was that day, she managed to make the cake look half decent again! :-)

Goodnight xx

Unknown said...

Hiya Hope and thanks for the welcome back and tip about the steamer. I think I will try that. There was quite a lot of demolition and walls knocked back to bare brick, then an awful lot of replastering so it has made the most terrible thick dust. The concrete floor in tbe living room is flipping cold, have put a big rug down now we have vacced it and some cardboard, very posh x

There is only only one room that needs the treatment now, my bedroom but according to the builders the plaster is so bad it again all needs knocking off# back to the brick. The trouble with doing the whole house you never seem to quite get there and kill many vac cleaners! But I am determined to get the living room /kitchen particularly nice and dust free for my parents and others visitors for christmas. They popped in last fri I think it was but the builders wer sawing and the dust was horrendous, my poor step father has asthma so they did not stop long!

I still cannot believe how big the room looks though it is even better than I imagined and I have some furniture to buy which will be great fun! Just tryinhg to hold myself back a bit but the table and chairs come on the 4th..that is just for starters!

Unknown said...

Dilly thanks for the encouragement my old bones need it. It never used to bother me keep stepping up and down to paint the bit at the top of the wall but this afternoon, I just thought I dont think I can do this one more flipping time.

Your senior cat sounds a wily old boss! I have sometimes thought about having another parrot but feel Nanday would be pretty bossy too. He is a bit cross because his second cage that he likes is in the garden and he keeps stomping around as if to say well come on where is the rest of MY property. I saw a robin it it last week eating seed from the bottom of the cage!

Luke does remember when I was his age and how much I used to be able to do and does understand he is a lot fitter than me now bless him but it is a lot for him to do. There is a nice lad next door though about 17 who he calls around to help - he has always loved Luke and was only five when we moved here. Now he is muc bigger than Luke so it is quite funny, I notice Luke's end sagginc a bit if you know what I mean!

Hi Viv -

You sound as though you are in a bit of a pickle right now with all the stuff going on at your house. But when it's all done just as you want it, it will have been worth every cuss!

How about having a huge mural at one end of wherever Nandy hangs out depicting an Australian scene (his natural habitat) - I remember going to see my sister in Australia and looking out of her window with all these wonderful colourful parrots flying around!

You sound like you have two wonderful sons to help you out so much. They obviously love their Mum!!
