GERRY OVERHEARD ON MOBILE SAYING MADDIE SNATCHED BY PAEDO NETWORK

Happy 4th Birthday to Madeleine - there just are no words to express this macabre spectacle really, are there? Was it the thought of the scene below and what fame and riches it could bring him that gave Gerry McCann such pure joy? Plain evil.

JUSTICE FOR MADDIE !

Could these be the trousers the PJ refer to, with the death scent on them? Kate looks very unwell in this pic..

The McCanns in the early days in PDL, clearly devastated over the loss of their daughter but comforted by the Paypal donations flooding in and their "online shop".

Gerry loudmouth McCann, wishes the worst for his daughter within just a few hours of her er apparently being snatched by a network of paedophiles. The files reveal a British tourist overheard him actually saying this on his mobile. Was he out looking for her, no of course not, he was glued to his mobile setting his sickening money spinning schemes into action. Was Kate out looking for her, no she was not as she confessed in the original interview with Jane Hill, BBC. She sat on her bed on her mobile and of course they had to prepare a script of what each member of the TAPAS would say, again, as she told Jane Hill, they were very busy. How weird Gerry just happened to have some large prints of Madeleine handy to give to the police at 2 am, where did those just come from!! But no doubt the best for the gruesome twosome as they seek to cover her death and rake in a load of cash with their disgusting claims. Even 15 months later, the couple from hell, who simply have no shame, persist with their repulsive claims. Of course he does not wish to comment on the clear evidence that Madeleine died in their apartment, well why not Mr Loudmouth? Why don't you blog about that, we would all be keen to hear your comments/.

This report also mentions details of concerns being expressed in the investigation about David Payne having an unnatural interest in children. I remain absolutely convinced the British Police and all other agencies working on this case will not be filing this case. I believe they have quite naturally taken over this serious investigation from the Portuguese authorities and a great deal of the information they gleaned from the investigation has not been made public, for very good reason, because it continues to be investigated. I say this to the McCanns, you know your daughter is dead, we know your daughter is dead and we are sick of your lies and cashing in on her death. It is time to start telling the truth or just shutting up and crawling under a stone, where you belong.

JUSTICE FOR MADDIE!

August 16, 2008 - 00:30 am Research: PJ followed track of 150 paedophiles Prime suspect was in Iraq The disappearance of Maddie on May 3, 2007 the Judicial Police led to hundreds of clues linked to paedophilia. The officers followed the steps of 150 paedophiles and perpetrators of crimes of a sexual nature, without, however, could establish a link between the disappearance of the child and a sexual predator. The first suspect to be followed by PJ early in the investigation was a sexual abuser of children, nationality English, fled the UK in 2005, with links to a bar located at 150 meters from where the fourth Maddie disappeared. However, the PJ to establish contact with his stepfather, who would tell investigators that the couple was in Iraq. The English authorities confirm this information and track would be abandoned. At the beginning of research, the British newspaper 'The Sun' reported that the Algarve is a refuge for paedophiles British, living in the region 130. Some came to be being interrogated by the PJ. Also a couple English suspicious about the relationship of David Payne (friend of McCann) with children, but only in October is that the British deliver information to the PJ, leaving nothing proved a link on the doctor. In the same month, following the operation 'Predador', experts from PJ observe the faces of hundreds of children on sites for paedophiles looking for a runway. GERRY EXPLICA DESAPARECIMENTO WITH PEDOFILIA A few hours after Maddie had disappeared in Praia da Luz, Algarve, her father, Gerry McCann, said in a telephone conversation that the girl English, then in three years, had been the victim of a kidnapping by a network of paedophiles. Gerry's words were later told by another English citizen on vacation in Ocean Club to Judicial Police. The tourists heard the call without that if Gerry saw their presence. PROTECTED DATA POLICE INGLESA REFUSAL The British police chose to maintain the confidentiality of the list of paedophiles referenced in the process. PRIVACY PRESERVADA The disclosure of the identities was considered an intrusion of privacy. Nothing was proved against a paedophile involvement of ears. NEW INTERROGATÓRIO Some British newspapers gave yesterday to preventing the prosecutor to a new interrogation to McCann. PRESS SKY NEWS Gerry McCann launched new call on the authorities to deliver data to help find his daughter. 'THE SUN' Official notes that research has found that the more likely it is that Maddie is dead.

Good morning all. new photo-fit in the mirror today... is it ever going to end???????????? Madeleine McCann: Nanny's new sketch echoes picture of kidnapper
Exclusive by Paul Byrne And Graham Brough 20/08/2008

Madeleine suspect (Pic:Photonews)
This is the shadowy figure seen lurking in the bushes outside the flat from where Madeleine McCann vanished.

And the woman who confronted the straggly-haired stranger eight months before is convinced he is the same man family friend Jane Tanner spotted carrying a child in pyjamas the night Maddy disappeared.

Despite telling police, British nanny Margaret Hall was not asked to help with an artist's impression.

Now, thanks to the Daily Mirror, a sketch of his face can be seen for the first time.

Margaret yesterday told the Mirror she saw the prowler hiding in the dark as she left through the back entrance after baby-sitting at apartment 5A of the Ocean Club resort in Praia da Luz, the year before Maddy was taken from the appartment.

She screamed in terror as the unshaven figure stepped out.

His movement set off a security light and the nanny clearly saw his face. "He came towards me saying 'no, no'. I just turned round and ran back to the apartment," she said.

Shaking with fear, she was later led back to her own flat.

The man had vanished but Margaret, 51, reported the incident to bosses at the resort the next day.

She was back in the UK when she heard of Maddy's disappearance in May last year - and a chill ran down her spine when she realised the little girl had been taken from the apartment where she had worked.

Her mind immediately pictured the scruffy, long-haired stranger.

She told police in her home town of Bolton and was interviewed but no photofit was ever issued.

Margaret later saw the sketch of a man carrying a young girl in pyjamas and instinctively she thought to herself: "That's him."

It had been made from details given by Jane Tanner, a pal of Gerry and Kate McCann.

Margaret added: "My description of the man is very similar to that of Jane Tanner's.

"He had long hair but it was quite scruffy and straggly looking.

"He had said 'no' in English but he was not English because of his skin colouring. He looked more Portuguese than anything."

After hearing nothing from the police in the UK, she went straight to Metodo 3, the private investigators working for Kate and Gerry.

They passed her information to Portuguese police, who dismissed it as being "out-dated".

Her information only came to light after Portuguese officers released all their files relating to Maddy earlier this month.

Hi Isis,

Thanks. Just had a look at the sketch & loool! He looks like one of those cabbage patch dolls!!!!

What a complete farce. a) bundleman had no face. b) cooperman looked nothing like a cabbage patch kid! Appt 5a must be very unlucky. Fancy Mr Cabbage Patch coming back to the very same appt a year later! What are these people on?

Docmac, how did Natalie do? I can't find her result on the website. She is indeed a remarkable person. I read the bit about her doing the breaststroke and swimming round in circles! I hadn't thought of that but how on earth did she manage to adjust her stroke not to? Incredible!

i all,

'that I'm of Romany Gipsy descendancy so Pinky has really offended me now,'

Me too!

Dylan they are a bunch of pl*nkers on the OS I gave up reading them ages ago. Are they not aware that on www people have their own family/personal blogs where you see the family @ home, celebrations, all their names etc. My eldest sons friend has just become a Daddy. There are pics of the proud Mummy and Daddy with their little bundle of joy in hospital, their own home, first time out in the pram etc and the little ones name on Bebo....oh my gawd call Social Services. This father and mother are both 24 and would not consider for one sec leaving their little one unattended for any reason. My children are called:

Sebastian
Jacob
Oliver
Maria-Augusta (she was born in August)

Glad your date went well.

The McCann team are going all out to try to prove there was an abductor - now a 51 year old nanny comes to the surface! How utterly boring it all is - talk about crying Wolf!!!

Rori Hegarty said...

Dylan, it just gets more unbelieveable. I really dont see how she could say the description of the man was similar to tanners, who also when placed in a surveillance van said she was sure murat was the man she saw on the night.

Natalie was 16th. She was with the lead group for most of the race but it the race was swum at a fast pace, so she was always going to lose out in the sprint over the last km which is when the legs come into play. She did finish ahead of the favourite though!

Britain got silver and bronze BTW.

Zodiac, I'm really touched! Thank you! Romany Gypsy too! I'm quite proud of my Romany roots. We are lucky to have been passed down a love of music, friendship and families that are very close, loving and loyal. It's a wonderful culture. Elly, my youngest was born with beautiful olive skin, but alas, it skipped a generation with me and my brother has it instead! Your children have lovely names and you're right, of course, people publish all sorts of stuff on the web. Personally, I've no regrets about my public blip. Having you guys was a lifeline to me during that time and I thank you all for that because it was a very lonely time. xxx

I shan't go to the hell hole anymore so others will have to update me!

Hi Nancy!

Yes it's getting ridiculous. Smacks of desperation to me.

Docmac, that's a shame. Do you know if she bettered her personal best?

Isis, I hadn't thought of that. Now Murat doesn't even have long hair! There's absolutely no way you could confuse him bundelman, cooperman or cabbage patch!

Unknown said...

Hiya all

Well this incident of the nanny seeing a creepy man the year before most definitely has been reported because I can clearly remember us discussing it on this blog several months ago and saying how absurd it was.

Maybe the poor bloke said no no meaning I am not going to hurt you! To listen to these people it is like no one else has any right to be in the area! It is every bit as absurd as Gran Cooper's story and how very odd the Mirror do not see fit to mention that one! Has Gran Cooper fell out of favour? did she get a grilling from LP and admit she is a barmy liar who got paid a lot of money to talk crap in the News of the World, Gerry's admitted favourite paper.

Additionally the Mirror story is false in saying the e-fit came from Tanner, she produced eggman saying at the time she did not see his face, but then had a brain storm when she saw Cooperwoman's e-fit and said oh that is him, having previously insisted it was poor Murat!

How many more old stories are the increasingly desperate gruesome twosome going to re-hash? They will be trying to phone the Mirror as the police lead them away!

Is there a ratings war going on? The McCanns originally sold the rights to their "exclusive story" to Rupert Murdoch...now Sky are not being very friendly any more are they, I do not know about The Sun and The NOW because it pains me to look at them, but it is no secret the Sun and The Mirror have always been staunch rivals. Well if the Mirror think this crap sells papers they need a new editor! Mind you I guess they cannot print the truth, the McCanns would sue them, or they would upset Leics Police!

dylan said...

Hi Viv! How very true!

Wonder what they did to Sky eh?!

Zodiac:

"Now who would believe that two dark swarthy children and two blonde haired children all brothers and sister!"

lol! It's the same with my three. One dark and two very blond/e! Apart from some of their facial features, you'd never place them as siblings! Elly's my little gypsie child. Actually her real name is Bretton-French. It's Gaelle. I only use Elly here as English people tend to pronounce it "gail". She also has a month in her name as she was born in May which is my favourite month and I had an Aunt who's first name was May.

Have to go for a bit now. Back later.

A SUMMARY OF THE WOMANS OWN ARTICLE
DATED 25/08/08

McCANNS TO SUE POLICE?

Madeliene's parents face new agony after detectives' mistakes are revealed

No one can fail to be moved by new revelations of information that was withheld from K & G McC in their search for missing Maddie.
Goes on about possible sightings,e-fits of two suspects (the Anna Stam ones who like M's partents), CCTV and info that a paedo ring may have ordered the abduction.
How the couple may be planning to sue the PT Police for any mistakes they might have made during the investigagtion.
Family spokesperson, Clarence Mitchell, tells Woman's Own, 'The mistakes and incompetence are there for all to see. If they'd done a lot more in the first days after Madeleine went missing, then there would have been a better chance of getting her back.'
The move was revealed as the McCanns' team of private investigators were following up a new sighting of Maddie (THOUGHT SHE WAS NOT CALLED THAT)- a security guard in Brussels, Belgium, is convinced he saw her with a woman in a hijab headdress just days ago. (ER...WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME OF THAT SIGHTING). While
the McC's priority is still to get Maddie (THOUGHT THEY DID NOT CALL HER THAT)back, their legal team in Portugal are seeing if there are grounds for a lawsuit.
But this renewed investigation comes at time when the McC's are running low on cash. There's just £460,000 left in the Find M fund, and with the investigation reported to be costing £166,000 per month they're running out of the money needed to find their little girl.
But members of the public, desperate to return M to her parents, have got into trouble taking pics of children whom they suspect may be Maddie. The McC's are now urging people not to take photos of children without consent of their parents, but to report suspicions to the police immediately.
The recent reports of possible new sightings have further convinced the McC's that their daughter is still alive and unharmed (OMG!), playing down claims she may have been snatched by a paedo ring (ER..THE START OF THE ARTICLE SUGGESTS JUST THAT). 'There is no suggestion she has been harmed or killed,' says Clarence Mitchell.' 'They believe she has been hidden somewhere. It could be a Romany family who have taken her. It's unusual but not completely rare. As long as there is money in the Fund to pay for investigators, the investigation will continue. If and when it runs out, there are ways to bring more money inb.'
The rest of the article is placed around the main article with pics and a link to their site. Basically a rehashed piece of rubbish to get the message accross, we need your money, imo!

Thanks for the magazine summary Zodiac. I can completely understand your feelings about spending money obtaining it. The spin goes on, and the unfortunate thing is that at least some of the readers will believe it.

There are about as many contradictions in the article as there are in the Tapas lot's evidence!

Doc - sorry to hear about Natalie. However, her courage is not dimmed in any way whatsoever. A wonderful woman.

So, naming children in a blog is serious, dangerous behaviour? What about publishing a photo of you in the company of your grandchildren like the leader of the gang has done? Hmmm...
I hadn't gone to the shit hole since I went on holiday. Was reading here and went there to check. Did not finish, of course.

docmac said...

Oh god, Gina's bleating on again about why I didn't give the information to the police. How on earth would she know what I did or did not do? Then there is someone who claims to be from here saying the same.

I guess they missed the relevant post wherein I said that the information would be included in the final police report and I have no doubt it is contained within the 20000 pages which have not been made available.

The answer you seek is no, I did not report it to the police, though I would certainly have done so if the information had not already been passed on to them by someone else.

dylan said...

Zodiac - Thank you for article. Take the money out of LEPS. Nobody will know ;-) What a load of old tosh! Who are they trying to fool? Ask the parents? Well if she has parents then it's not Madeleine!! And if it is Madeleine, well you can imagine what would happen if you had to stop and ask for a photograph first:

Erm.. excuse me, may I just take a pho.....hang on! Come back....!

So the McCs are going to sue the PJ then. That should be interesting. "Why didn't you follow up that lead?"

PJ: "Because we knew Madeleine was no longer alive."

McCs: "Prove it."

PJ: " We already did. We showed you the evidence. We showed you the dogs' reaction to your appartment, rental car, car key fob, your trousers. We revealed FFS evidence to you. We asked you questions. You chose to ignore all but one of them. Tell us - why did you only answer that one question?"

McCs: I'm not answering that question.

PJ: How do you propose to sue us on the grounds that we did not follow up a "lead" that was non-existent then?

Hmmm...!

Big day for my kitten today. He's just been set free outside into the big wide world. I've just seen him on next door's fence. I hope he comes back!!

Claudia,

It's like something my 9 year old would draw!!!

I meant "heavy" in the sense that you need the loo after reading it, or a bowl. Either way, it's the same thing ;-)

xx

Cláudia said...

I know what you meant, Dylan. Their only goal is to stop people from voicing their opinions and from asking inconvenient questions. Their only goal is to shut people up. Which is exactly why many face that as an extra motivation to go on and on and on and on.

Cláudia said...

Dylan, in fact, all of this, making it personal, using 'the mole' etc is just a way to make people respond. While people are discussing the personalisation of this case, people are not questioning the McCanns, discussing their behaviour, analising their own weird words and statements. The solution? Ignore the personalisation (with the odd exception of course, because sometimes it is fun) and ask questions, comment, discuss, expose the inconsistencies and the shallow, cold statements by all in the team.

dylan said...

Claudia, yes. So in actual fact, they are shooting themselves in the foot! Human nature is such that the more you try to tell someone not to do something, the more they will do it, especially if the person opposing you is not very pleasant about it!

Good Evening All

Firstly, can I give my condolences to the families of the bereaved and injured in the Madrid disaster, my thoughts are with you all.

Di said...

Hi Doc

I hate flying as well.

I am scared stiff. I worry myself for two weeks before a flight but when I am up in the air I am absolutely fine. Then about 4 days before coming home I start to worry again. Sad I know but that is me. The awful thing is it always spoilt the holiday for me, but I was always very careful not to let my feelings show in front of the children. They are grown up now and love flying so I guess I did ok.

A friend took hubby and I up in a helicopter and I loved it especially when he nose dived, hubby was green.

We have not been abroad for a few years as we won't put our dobie in kennels, hence the reason for buying our retreat in Wales.

My daughter's best friend works for an airline and she said keep your eye on cabin staff, if they look worried... PANIC !!!

Di said...

Off to watch as bit of TV

docmac said...

Di

Helicopters? Aaarrghhhhh!

dylan said...

Di,

Wales is beautiful though so I don't think you are missing out. I'm the same, I always look to the cabin crew to see if they are looking worried everytime I hear a noise on a plane that I don't recognise. Conversely, I love the take off and landing bit (which are the most dangerous) but hate the bit in between. I try to get a window seat that doesn't overlook the wings because I'm scared of seeing a wing flap fall off! Just realised this isn't helping doc. Sorry.

Off out now so have a good eve all.

xx

Just to say, flying in a helicopter was an incredible experience and not at all scary, well not for me anyway.

As an aside, here is some good advice (not) from a computer newbie.

When you get your blue sceen this indicates a problem with the mother board and C Drive problem. (lololol!) If your PC is fairly old, it does sound like you may be needing a new one soon because this is usually quite expensive to repair. (What?)

But when you get your blue screen, does it actully [sic] tell you what it is? Normally windows will do this.

PS Meantime, if you can free up some of your memory this may help (do you mean moving the virtual memory to a hard drive other than C:\?) and if you have anything on your computer you want to save I would back it up now while you still can and transfer it onto a memory key (how small is your hard drive then?), then you can just upload it all on to your new computer when you get it. Or if you cant do this then copy down all you favourite webites sic addresses and place them in a folder in your email account (wtf???) and anything else you want to save and then you will have them to hand when you get your new PC. Your email account does not use your memory it uses its own space. (lol!!) Just a thought.

I think this poster should keep his thoughts to himself. Why does he want to have another poster lose all their data and spend their hard-earned on another complete system?

That happened to me and I just couldn't believe my eyes! He blinked at me and in a very casual fashion strolled off the neighbour's windowsill, out of their cat-flap and then over the fence to come and say hello!!!

Cats (and dogs - especially sniffer dogs!!) - I love them!!

Hi all!

Nice but muted eve. Had to say bye to friends who are going home.

Great computer advice. My PC is a bit old but no worries, I have a flash drive and a hotmail a/c - lolololol!

I am so proud of my kitten. First day out and he ventured over the garden fence about a dozen times but obviously didn't go too far as every time I called him he was back on my doorstep in seconds. I think the fact that I rewarded him with fish (opus close your ears) each time he came back, may have had a slight influence on his return!!

Anyone still awake?

Doc, sorry me and no one else was around for you last night. Just reading back you quote a bit from Psychopops:

if you have anything on your computer you want to save I would back it up now while you still can and transfer it onto a memory key (how small is your hard drive then?), then you can just upload it all on to your new computer when you get it.

Well how handy would it have been for Gerry McCann to have stored information on one of those little plug in things rather than on a conventional hard drive, I bet he would make sure the police did not get their hands on that! I cannot think what they are called but my kids reckon you can store heaps on them! Luke said the other day he has all his music on one and that is a lot of music, he even has PF for mom!

Hi Viv,
The plug in memory item you mention for computers is called a memory stick. They range from 1gb to 4gb or even more. In other words they store a lot and I think they are an invaluable item for anyone who uses a computer.

Another good free storage space, if you haven’t heard of it, is google doc. You can stores 1000’s of files with them and download them back onto your computer when you need them thus freeing up loads of space on your own computer. Google doc I use for photographs and graphics which take up a lot of memory.

Unknown said...

Hiya Wizard

Thanks yes that is it, memory stick! God knows why I could not think of that, maybe I need one:-))

Thanks for the information about storing stuff off your own computer, seems like a good idea for those who have a memory problem:-))).

Morning Viv and everyone -

New Article from NOW Magazine on McCann Files - Kate isn't working because she is leading the hunt for Madeleine! Gerry is still working at the hospital. Kate is quite a shy person apparently!! Perhaps that's why she didn't answer all the questions by the PJ's! Usual heart wrenching stuff in the article!

I also saw the picture of 'Nanny's predator' - well I'm sure if there was someone like him hanging around a small place like PdeL most of the community would have remembered him and not only in their worst nightmares!!

24 Horas are still reporting about the 24 photos which shows that Kate changed her clothing that night. Gerry said he has no recollection of what Kate was wearing that night!! I'd be surprised if she didn't have the same clothes on all night while making all those phone calls to family and friends because she wouldn't have had time to change I shouldn't think. So Gerry is obviously not a man to notice what his wife wears!

ST is Spanish!! Perish the thought!!

Hi Nancy, I’ve been following the saga of the photographs. Isn’t the implication that during the meal and before she raised the alarm Kate is seen in two different outfits. This of course would mean she returned to the apartment to change at some point but did not mention it to the police. If this was true it is highly relevant.

Cláudia said...

Congratulations, Dyl.

http://www.portugalresident.com/portuga ... p?ID=28839 - reveals “... the McCanns have hired a new detective agency to help in the search for their daughter. The unnamed US firm reportedly uses former members of the FBI and CIA.
Clarence Mitchell confirmed: “It is correct that an international firm of investigators has been appointed. I am unable to say anything about them because of the covert nature of their work”.

I find it surprising that investigators employed by the McCanns are to be operating covertly unlike M3.

I’ve just been reading the below on 3A’s (pjreis) – I know birds of feather flock together but its difficult reading this to know who is the biggest liar.

“The spokesperson of the McCann family gave a statement, as a witness (under oath...) to Leicestershire Police, on April 28, 2008. Mr. Clarence Mitchell explained he met Gerry McCann on 2007, late May, when Madeleine's father went back to UK for the first time after his daughter disappeared.

According to Mr. Mitchell, it was a circumstantial (1) meeting at the Leicestershire Police, while he was working at the Consular Assistance Group from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Clarence Mitchell told Leicestershire Police, in his statement, that he was asked to go back to Portugal with Mr. Gerry McCann, where he met his wife, Kate McCann.
(...)
But according to Mr. Jim Murphy, Minister of State, Foreign & Commonwealth Office on 7 May, 2008, Clarence Mitchell was seconded to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, from the Central Office of Information (COI), for a period of 25 days in May 2007 to provide assistance with the media to the family of Madeleine McCann.
(...)

Duarte Levy and Paulo Reis

(1) Gerry McCann left Faro Airport on May 20, 2007, on a late flight. He arrived at Coventry Airport on the early hours of May 21. The Media was informed that the trip was related with personal matters and also for meetings with organizers of the Find Madeleine Fund. He met Clarence Mitchell at Leicestershire Constabulary's headquarters, and went to Rothley where he visited the Madeleine's improvised shrine, set up at the war memorial in the village centre. Daily Mail wrote that Gerry meeting with Leicestershire Constabulary was intended to see how they were coordinating their inquiries, as they were the police force in charge of cooperating with the Portuguese police. On May 22, Clarence Mitchell and Gerry McCann flew back to Algarve.

We have organised a full-blown fire engine, complete with crew, to arrive an hour into his party. The kids will be loaded up and taken for a drive, sirens blaring as there will be an 'emergency. We have arranged for a huge bonfire to be lit at the local motocross club and the kids will help with the hoses as it is extinguished. He will receive an honorary fire helmet and a certificate stating that he helped to put out a fire too. How cool is that!

Obviously we have to wait for the photos to be made public, but why would whoever took them lie about Kate changing her clothes?

And CM's version of meeting with Gerry is not what we've all been led to believe, that he was seconded in to do the job of their PR man!! However, nothing's new - look at the porkies he told about them all going out to the tapas bar without their watches and mobile phones.

He must think the public are a load of morons to believe everything he comes out with. Odious man!

nancy said...

CM must be a bit miffed at Kate's asserion in Now magazine that she is leading the hunt for Madeleine; I;m sure he thinks he is doing that!!

She really led the hunt on the night in question didn't she - stayed in the apartment all night with Gerry working hard on their mobile and getting a plan of action in place more likely! I wonder how many of her tapas pals were with them rehearsing their parts too.

I just have to say that I agree with you. If we are not careful we are going to turn the next generation into people that are scared of their own shadows.
I used to leave my children outside the shop in their prams, I had no choice, most shops did not allow you take your pram or pushchair in, as the shop was either too small or they just did not allow it. We had no choice but to leave them outside, however, shop assistants back then were very good, they usually keep their eyes on all the babies that were left outside. It happened and everyone did it back then.
Also when my first was born and I was a very young inexperienced mum, I took baby in the pram to the small Express Dairy local supermarket. I parked the pram outside and nipped in purchased my goods and toddle off back home (which was just down the road) all the way back home I had the feeling that I had forgotten something, mentally I began ticking off all the things I wanted and had purchased and could not remember what it was that I had forgotten. I went inside and put the bags down just as I did my mother in law asked just as I had realised, "Where is the baby?" I threw everything and ran up the road, it was just a very short way and when I reached the road i could see the pram still sitting there but of course I could not see inside at the baby, my heart was in my mouth literally, but as I ran towards the pram and shop a laughing assistant came out and said they were all taking bets on how long it would take me to come running around the corner.

We all do things and we all make mistakes, only some of us are honest and own up to them. None of us are perfect and I know I was not the only one to have done something like this either. This did not mean I was negligent and it did not mean I did not love my baby. What utter nonsense.

These antis are behaving like a load of monkey's on the McCann's backs and it is about time they went back up their trees and counted their nuts!

Rosiepops, you claim to have had articles published and you also claim you want to write a book. Before you do please go to Apostrophe College.

Oh yes, I can see now how you can think the McScams were not negligent.

Oh Rosie, your story took me back some. I did exactly the same as you with my daughter. Near to us was a group of shops. I'd gone in the bread shop leaving my daughter outside in her pram, when I came out I remembered that I needed to get some fruit and veg. It was only next door so didn't move the pram with daughter in it. Only thing is I came out of that shop and walked home, approx 400 yds away. I couldn't believe it when I got home and wondered where my bread was!!! never mind my daughter. I can laugh about that now but at the time what desperate and very guilty feelings I suffered. I'm glad I'm not perfect, how would you live up to that, nigh on impossible.

How true Joany. And you can't fail to notice that the lack of intelligence and correct info never deters people from being loudmouths. The less people know and understand the higher the decibel level and the more aggressive their tone!

Cláudia said...

Doc, first of all, the fact thay any shops wouldn't allow babies and pushchairs to go in, makes me want to throw up. I'm gld I live in a 'third world country' where babies and children go everywhere. In fact, if a shop in Portugal did not allow babies and children, it would last a couple of weeks.
As for the rest, it's all a lot clearer now. Of course they don't think the McCanns did wrong. They did worse. I'm glad they can laugh about it. Great sense of humour. I forgot my baby. Ah ah ah.

docmac said...

Claudia

To be fair, perhaps they had a pram listening routine.

Cláudia said...

Doc, you're right about that.
And I bet the shop assistants were really nice too.
You know, when I read things like that I feel even more grateful (if that is possible) to my parents who worked shifts for years so I wasn't alone for one minute. No babysitter, no other family, nothing. They sacrificed themselves so I was never alone. I'm certainly fortunate.

docmac said...

I had the same privelege Claudia. My dad worked very long hours and travelled frequently as an engineer. My mom was a biochemist, but worked mornings only while we were at school. Later she went back to varsity to get another degree at the tender age of 62 and still works in IT at 78 :-)))

Well people who not only leave their baby outside in a pram for anyone to mess with or take and then even forgets them altogether clearly would side with Kate and Gerry McCann!

I am 54 and can honestly say I have never, ever seen anyone do this!

There is only 19 months between my two eldest sons, one used to be in the pram and the other sitting on a chair on the front, the pram went in the shop with me, and had a tray underneath for shopping. There was no question of shops saying you cannot come in! In fact I remember there used to be a lot of women who did shoplifting due to this, but not me!

They are people who just have no concern or love for children.

Docmac -

It's amazing these days what very senior citizens can do - imagine your dad playing tennis at that age! I'm sure he's had good health all his life and looked after himself.

Mind you I read today that the world's oldest man has died at the tender age of 138!!! Beat that if you can!!

Um, Rosiepops

Around 37 million copies of my book have been distributed to date and it's climbing at around 800000 a week right now. And it's free on condition you live in Sub-Saharan Africa and you're poor. I know you don't live in Africa.

And it's not about placing apostrophies, it's about NOT placing them in words like "monkey's" and "McCann's". Jeez you must be a nightmare for your editors.

Doc

It sounds like your lovely little boy will have a fab time.

Luke used to enjoy his dad's police car and always insisted on lights and sirens.

He is a gorgeous little fella, give him my love and tell him Nanday says hello, good boy x

138? Crikey!! No chance of that :-)

Hi Viv

The little guy can mimic with great accuracy the various sirens that he has heard and does so every day while playing with his toys. It's 'ear-wrenching' but we just let him get on with it.

Hi Viv -

That description of one child in the pram and one on the seat brings back memories of my two - my son was 2 and my daughter about six months and I remember going into a greengrocers with them both (pram and all) and my son picked up a weight that the man used to weigh the veggies etc and popped it under the pram cover while I wasn't looking. When I got home I took the cover off and luckily the weight hadn't touched my little girl, but I had to make a mad dash about a mile away with them both in the pram to return the weight to the greengrocer who was going frantic without it!!

Memories, memories!!

As you say, the idea of anyone actually leaving a baby outside in a pram and going home without them would be my worst nightmare!!

Gerry and Kate McCann did not make a mistake they left three very small children alone night after night while they went to a bar to eat and drink with their friends.

Kate has told the world that Madeleine asked why she did not come when she was crying with her baby brother and Kate cold as ice left them again...

And in defence of these two far from perfect parents others rush to their aid with tales of how they to were forgetful and left their babies in prams outside shops...

This is how it was years ago in England I have heard my Dad say how his mother forgot him once it is a common story for tiered Mum's to go on auto pilot and that would be a mistake and the same as when you let your childs hand go for a nano second and they are out of view and blind panic takes over.

The diffrence is the emotion is panic and running back to the shop or round in circles calling out your childs name.

Kate left 2 year old twins in a room with the door and window open and went back to the Bar to tell that she thought Madeleine had been abducted and once again did not give a thought to her remaining children if a mad man had got in she did not know he would not go back.

Keep trying to justify their actions but Madeleine is the victim and Gerry and Kate McCann dont want to help her at all Kate could not be bothered to answer all but one question and the question she answered was cold and callous. As for Gerry her eye althogh it would probebly kill her was too good a marketing oportunity not to use it.

Keep defending them and trying to deamonise anyone who thinks a 3 year old child has right. No parent is perfect children dont come with a manual but they do fill you with love and most parents would die for their child not sod off for a night of fun while they cry home alone.

Nancy, why the little tinker!

I think they were great but you do not seem to see them now, it is all buggies. Martin loved riding on the front of the pram guarding Nev! I even used to tie the Dobermann dog to the front of the pram as well, if he promised to behave. When they were a bit bigger I used to walk absolutely miles and so had a large pushchair I used to put them both in, but eventually it just gave up under the strain:-)) Then I learned to drive!

Well said Hope -

These parents, instead of admitting how wrong they were to the world, have sought to justify their actions by saying the apartment was able to be seen from where they were sitting - 'just like being in the back garden', which has been shown to be completely untrue. How they could have done the same thing night after night knowing how vulnerable those children were beggars belief.

They say that life's a lottery and poor little Madeleine certainly picked the short straw!

Off to do a bit of ironing now it's cooler. Back later.

Doc, having parents who do everything for their children is a blessing. Great to hear about your parents stamina! :-)

Viv, I have to confess that until this case, I had never heard of people going out to dinner and leaving their children home alone. It had never crossed my mind. And until now, I had never heard of shops where babies were allowed. And I certainly had never heard of parents who forgot their babies and laugh about it. Let's call it different parenting styles...

That's probably why the older generation are generally more fit than the young ones of today - we used to walk for miles as you say, until we all had the luxury of a car!

How did we ever manage without a car and a mobile phone I wonder!

If you are only 54, you are still in your prime - another six years to go to retirement!! But, I bet, like me you'll still be keeping your hand in for years after that!

Gerry, I can not believe you are not in jail. Read this and weep. F*cking liars. How did they get away with it? Oh sorry, how stupid of me. Bribes.

These guys on the dark side must be really old - I think there isn't much doubt that way back then there was a difference in the way people lived and safety on the streets was much less of an issue than it is today. Not that forgetting to collect your baby, whose been left outside a shop, can be condoned in any era!

When my daughter was little (she's 27 now) we were in New Zealand and I wasn't allowed to take her pram into the supermarket there. However, I refused to leave the pram outside and insisted on leaving it, plus baby, by the cash tills - having spoken to the girls there before putting the brakes on. I remember, even then, constantly looking over my shoulder when I went down the isles to collect the groceries etc.

Never once did I drive home without her!!!

When your baby means more than the whole world to you it is hard to believe anyone could forget and leave it outside a store; it's not as if it's a pet poodle after all, but even then I'd never dream of walking off without it!! Nowt so strange as folk they say!!

To cut a long story short, it is an extract from the official police files detailing Gerry's first statement made on May 4 2007. He states that he entered the apartment at 9.05pm using a key, as the door was locked.

The McCann case: Gerry McCann's interview 4/05/07

Enfants Kidnappés

Continuing with the case file.

In our previous article, we opened up the contents of the case file for you, up to page 5. Of course, given that there are 30,000 pages to the case file, of which only 11,000 are open to the press, it would take years to publish the whole thing on this site. That's true, but of course, we are not going to publish everything. The various parts of the case file comprising routine checks, copies of passports, copies of documents of all kinds, copies of faxes sent to this or that service, requests to visit homes, copies of airline tickets, various references and advice on reporting, requests for collaboration from other Interpol countries: in brief, you will be spared all the red tape, which is included in a case file.

Indeed, they are of little interest to our readers. These documents are only of interest to the police and the magistrate to confirm that the procedure has been followed. Thus, the interview which we publish today is to be found on page 34 of the case file. Between pages 5 and 34, in addition to certain documents, there is a photographic report and a plan of apartment 5A at the Ocean Club. The photos have been widely on the Web, notably by the British press. However, certain snaps are unknown to the public. Amongst these snaps, is one that shows that the height from the floor of apartment 5A to the window, is 90cm. Another shows that the distance between the edge of the bed and this same window is 40cm. Other photos are there only to support descriptions of the places. And finally, we come to Gerry McCann's interview.

The interview took place on the day after Madeleine's disappearance, 04/05/07, at 11.15am. The interview starts with an explanation of the fact that Gerry is British and that as a consequence he does not understand Portuguese, written or spoken, for which reason, a, "sworn," interpreter, first name Natalia, was asked for help. Her role is to conscientiously translate, from the person's language into the official language of the country; the words, feelings, images, formal and informal phrases used, in order to avoid any misinterpretation.

Gerry McCann had already been to Portugal in 1994. He stayed in an apartment on the outskirts of Albufeira. The desire to get to know Portugal was due to the fact that the country is known for its excellent facilities for golf. The present journey was made at the suggestion of a friend, DAVID PAYNE, who made a reservation at the Ocean Club, following an internet search, for the interviewee, his wife and the rest of the group. In total, a group of nine adults and eight children, including the missing minor, Madeleine. The group was made up of people the interviewee has known for 5 or 6 years.

They traveled in two separate groups, one composed of the interviewee, his wife KATE and their three children, DAVID PAYNE and his wife, their two sons and his mother-in-law. This group travelled from the airport local to Leicestershire and the other group, comprised of four adults and three children, from London. The meeting point was the Ocean Club in Portugal. The interviewee's group arrived there at 2.30pm on April 28th from Faro airport on an airport mini bus. The other group arrived the same day at 1pm. After checking in, the interviewee and his wife, KATE HEALY, their daughter, MADELEINE, and their two year-old twins SEAN and AMELIE, were placed in apartment G5A. The apartment consisted of two beds in the first bedroom, and two others in another room, in which were two cots on loan from the company, in addition to the bathroom and toilet and the kitchen corner. KATE and GERALD slept in one of the rooms and in the other, their three children slept, the twins in cots and MADELEINE in a normal bed. The other bed remained empty. Between April 29th, the day of arrival, and the time when MADELEINE disappeared, the interviewee reports having noticed nothing unusual, except that on the morning of May 3rd, MADELEINE asked her father, GERALD, why he had not come into the room when the twins were crying. The interviewee had heard nothing and had not gone into the room. It was the first time that MADELEINE had made that kind of comment.

As for routine events, this is how it went:

On the Sunday, they had breakfast, between 7.30 and 8.30am at the Ocean Club in the bar a few metres from the apartment. In the days following, because of the distance to the said bar, they started buying food at the supermarket, situated on the same road as the apartment. After breakfast, the children were left at one of the Club's Crèches, called the, "Kid's Club," where they participated in various activities such as painting, collage etc.

This was until 12.30pm, supervised by several employees in a ratio of one supervisor to three children. At 12.30pm, the parents went to collect the children and had lunch in the apartment since they had bought provisions. Lunch over, at around 1.30pm, the children spent time near the club's swimming pool, supervised by their parents, for around 45 minutes, where they played and had sun cream applied. After that time, the children returned to the, "Kid's Club," until around 5pm, when they had dinner at the bar, under the parents' supervision. After the 5pm meal, the parents gave them a bath and before getting them ready for the night, allowed them to play for a little while in the area next to the tennis courts, still under the parents' supervision. Towards 7.30/8pm the children were in bed until morning, when the routine described, started all over again.

While the children were at the, "Kid's Club," GERRY played tennis with KATE, went for walks or went, "jogging." Yesterday (Editor's note: Day of the disappearance), after the daily routines, MADELEINE and the twins were put to bed in their respective beds at 7.30pm. The parents remained in the apartment to relax and drink a glass of wine until 8.30pm. After checking that the children were asleep, the parents, accompanied by other adults, went to the, "Tapas," restaurant, around 50 metres away, where they had dinner together. As usual, every half hour and considering that the restaurant was close to the apartment, the interviewee or his wife went to check if the children were OK.

9.05pm

Thus, at 9.05pm, the interviewee entered the room (apartment?) using his key, the door being locked, and went to the children's room and noted that the twins and Madeleine were OK. He then took several minutes going to the toilet. He left the apartment and bumped into someone with whom he had played tennis and had a brief conversation. He then returned to the Tapas.

Don’t worry Vile we understand your blog is bereft of interest and posts so you send your scouts over to nick ours? We don’t mind, but you are very rarely even mentioned on our forum these days, your posts are so boring and repetitive they would be a good cure for somnambulism. (If you do not know what that big word is look it up or ask the doc and he will Google it for you)

lolol, Rosiepoops. Whilst I disagree with the general tone of your post, perhaps you should do the googling to ascertain the difference between 'somnambulism' and 'insomnia'. My word, you're thicker than I thought.
