KHYRA ISHAQ, 7, DIES FOLLOWING APPALLING ABUSE

Khyra, in happier times, before she was starved to death
Khyra's aunt Valeries Frances speaks to the press about the death of her niece
Hi All What a shocking and sad case of six children enduring unimaginable suffering, costing little Khyra her life, the police just too late to save her. From reading this story it seems that everything was OK until last December when something must have happened in the mother's life and she started to severely neglect her children. Both the mother and step-father are remanded in custody on neglect charges but clearly further charges may follow in relation to the death of Khyra. It highlights again that sometimes family circumstances change for the worse and children start to suffer terribly because of it. It is very difficult to imagine how the children could have suffered like this for about five months without either school or neighbours feeling there were concerns that should have been raised earlier. Tragically it highlights that even in this modern day and age children can be suffering the most terrible ill-treatment but no one comes to their aid or rescue. I read earlier Hope suggesting that perhaps the time has come for all children under about twelve years to be very regularly checked by authorities to make sure they are safe and well. No doubt this would be expensive, but surely our little children are worth it, if it prevents any more children from suffering such a terrible fate. Even for those who have survived, they can be fed and given proper medical care but the terrible blight on their childhood will no doubt always be with them. Statistics confirm that pre-school children are at even greater risk and they do not even have the benefit of the school keeping an eye on their welfare, much greater focus should be placed on careful monitoring. No doubt this mum had very young children too. It is also often the case that parents with a large number of children just give up trying to properly care for them, again, birth control, education, monitoring, encouraging neighbours to speak out at an early stage, in confidence and without fear of reproach are needed to prevent further tragedies like this. When are we in the UK, finally going to learn the lessons. How many more children have to suffer? Why dont we have public service ads?

Couple charged after daughter, 7, starves to death and five brothers and sisters are forced to eat bread left for birds
By Daily Mail ReporterLast updated at 7:51 PM on 21st May 2008
Add to My Stories
A seven-year-old girl has died of starvation after police found her and five other children in an emaciated state and living in squalor.
Khyra Ishaq died soon after she and her siblings, three boys and two girls, were rescued from their home and taken to hospital.
Police had been tipped off to their condition by neighbours who spotted them eating bread that had been left out for the birds.

Tragic: Khyra, 7, starved to death
A man and a woman, believed to be their mother and stepfather, appeared in court today charged with neglect and were remanded in custody.
Police swooped on the house in the Handsworth area of Birmingham on Saturday to find the severely ill girl in squalid conditions.

She was taken to hospital but pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The five other children, who were lying on mattresses, were suffering from starvation and were also taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman refused to comment today, saying: "We cannot comment because of the criminal investigation."
A neighbour who lived near the family described seeing children at the home grabbing bread which had been thrown out for birds.
Post-mortem tests to confirm the cause of death are due to take place.
A statement by West Midlands Police said inquiries into the girl's death were continuing.
"Her cause of death has not been confirmed at this stage," it added.
A Birmingham City Council spokesperson said: "We are deeply saddened by the death of this child and our sympathies go to the child's family and friends at this difficult time.
"This death is now the subject of a police inquiry and Birmingham City Council are fully supporting their investigation."
The door and ground floor windows of the house at the centre of the inquiry in Leyton Road were covered with metal shutters today.
Neighbours claimed the children's mother had recently converted to Islam and that she had split up from her children's father several years ago.

Starving: Khyra Ishaq, 7, was rescued by police from this terrace in Birmingham but died of starvation shortly afterwards

Lilian Costello said she had known her well and used to speak to her almost every day until December but had not seen the children for months.
She said: "I saw her on Christmas Eve and I wished her a Merry Christmas but she said she didn't celebrate it, she celebrated Eid.
"I didn't see her for another four months after that and when I saw her again at the beginning of May, she said she still lived up the road.
"I asked how the children were and she said they were alright. She seemed very devoted to the children and I am very surprised.
"She used to let the children come out to play with the other children and she always stood at the front of the house watching them.
"There were three boys and three girls and they were a nice bunch of kids, very well-mannered. It's just so sad knowing that one of them has died."
Other residents in the street were visibly shocked when told of the charges which have been brought against their former neighbours.
Sales worker Amarjit Ram said: "I am just shocked to be honest - the mother looked fine to me.
"I would see them in the street and I think they had lived there for a couple of years."
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, added: "We would never expect something like this. We knew they were going through some trouble about a year ago.
"Before that we used to see the children and they looked happy and normal, but after that we didn't see them.
"They seemed like normal, happy kids, but then they disappeared. The house wasn't very well kept. It's not the cleanest of places. We only live a few doors down. It's shocking."
He said police had been outside the house for up to four days after the raid on Saturday and described an ambulance arriving in the middle of the night.
Other neighbours told ITV that three of the children were seen in recent months looking "extremely thin".

All six children were taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital, above. A man and a woman have been arrested and remanded in custody.
Mohammed Khalil, who lived nearby, said he used to see some of the children in their uniforms on their way to the nearby Grove School but that he had not seen them for months.
"The children's father, he didn't live there. He was living there but then he moved out," he said. "I think there was another man living there. I saw him a couple of times."
Parents collecting children from the primary school tonight were handed a letter informing them of Khyra's death.
Signed by the school's headteacher, Pamela Matty, it read: "Dear Parents, We have been informed by the police that a child in Handsworth has died.
"As a mark of respect for the family and the community, we are postponing tonight's music concert to a future date."
Police wearing protective forensic suits had been seen removing furniture and carpets from the house over the weekend.

Hi leigh3,

I think that if the Tapas 7 do not go then the PJ should just order the McCanns back and warn the Tapas that they had the opportunity to help and it will be noted that they effectively refused (obstructed). Then do a reconstruction with the Mccanns and stand ins( a stand in would probably have more credibility than JT) and Mitchell could play the Bundleman.

Good idea, Joe ;-), although I suspect that this is one final warning for the McCann Machine that their game is up. It's over, with or without the reconstruction.

See you next time :-)

Tapas 9,(maybe tapas 10)

How is it possible that you can wake up every morning, go to work, if you are able to work after what happened to Madeleine when you were to one's to look at her every 30 minutes? 20 minutes? 15 minutes?

Someone saw Kate going to the apartment a 21.30. But she was supposed to be there at 22.00.

How is it possible that you can continue living your lives. With your own children and mothers and fathers. Are you planning another holiday with or without child listening service? So you can go to dinner without your kids? Not thinking about the 3 year old child who depended on you. You were supposed to check on her every 30 minutes. But you didn't.

We have a new pact here, now they are in agreement to not come! Why are they so afraid?
Make them all arguidos!
My opinion is, if they have a pact, pack them all together and force them to come with a European Arrest Warrant. I don’t if that is possible but that is my wish!

Joe said...

If they have a pact then it is sinister and means that possibly they all know something. If this comes to pass that they do not co-operate then the British Police should step in hard.

Bye Leigh, darling!

Boa Noite.

Joe hi,
I have no doubts concerning the Tapas friends, of course they know a lot!
How come British police could do that? Do you think that to be possible?
I have serious doubts...This is a Portuguese investigation and although some British officers are helping, others are not.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Ana.
Since this reconstruction was mentioned I said they would not come unless they were forced to. And I also said that the friends would get the blame this time so public opinion wouldn't turn on them even more. I still believe they won't come because I think they are very scared about what could happen. They will only come if they are more scared of the consequences of not coming (charges and what comes next) than they are of setting foot in Portugal again. If you know what I mean....

Cláudia said...

Boa noite, Leigh.

Read you all tomorrow,

Cláudia, are you settled now?

Atardi,
It appears they had very little value for their childrens safety.
MW are witnesses to the neglect,as is Mrs Fenn. They can't escape from that truth.

Sylvia Batiste, who was described as a senior MW staff member, offered the McCanns free babysitting on the 3rd, because the crying children were disturbing other residents, but they declined.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Atardi!
Almost! :-)
New computer is here (fantastic and incredibly fast). New furniture also here, except for the wardrobe who had a bit of a problem and was returned! When it's done it will be great! :-) Thanks for asking!
Sleep tight!

Ana said...

Cláudia,
Of course I know what you mean, we knew all along that they would not come; in fact, all the Portuguese people know that.
I don’t know what more can be done to force them to come but if 24 Horas report is accurate, I think it was a great move by our prosecutor!
Now, wait by the Kaplan( is that his name?) card, after all, this is the reason for them to contract him, the 1st thing they did after became arguidos!

Joe said...

Ana,

My argument has always been the returned from holiday without Madeline and the British authorities do nothing. Why? The child has rights under British law.

Cláudia said...

Ana, I've always said that wether they came back or refused to do so, this would be very telling. If they come, the reconstruction will be hilarious with so many versions. If they don't come, the world will see and know and draw their own conclusions. And if what was in 24 Horas is true, then it's even better. Jogada de mestre!

Joe said...

My instinct is if its true they will not return due to fear. Afraid of arrest and what the PJ may produce as evidence and leave them all gobsmacked. If they do not return then the only option i see is for the PJ to make them all arguidos and issue arrest warrants. Then IMO the British authorities will drag its feet further to delay.

Ana said...

Joe,

Totally agree with you. The child has rights under British law, so why?
I can not answer that question because, I really don’t understand!

Ana said...

If they are so afraid, we can presume that they know that PJ know what they have done last spring! No other explanation, under my point of view and this only shows, one more time, that Gerry is a hypocrite manipulative liar, after all he said 20 days ago to our reporter Sandra Felgueiras that the Police has no proves against them!
So Gerry, why are you not coming then?

dolores said...

Joe,
I don't understand that either, from day one with the lies they told consistently, their non co-operation with the PJ they have been smug and defiant all the way through, even planning anniversary events as though she were alive.

Now we are to believe another lie about K's fragile state, after less than a month she managed a Washington and Brussels visit and 18 consecutive tv interviews, not bad for some so 'fragile.' The obstruction of justice is immense, yet UK police seem helpless. They arrest very quickly recent cases of neglect, and as you say she was a British subject, why are they not doing something about it.

Joe said...

Before I get my coat and leave for the night, I just would love to see this case resolved one way or another. The PJ have put in excellent work against all the odds and the McCanns have been allowed to skip around without any further questioning as if this case has nothing to do with them playing a silly game. Its time it stopped and they got their act together and help sort out this case for the sake of their daughter if nothing else. Goodnight all.

Ana said...

Cláudia,
I would pay to see that reconstruction; it would be a comedy movie, no doubt!
In and out, in and out…How many couples were there? How many apartments?
All those checks…Jesus, I would love to know how they managed to do all those checks , dinning and drink , all at the same time !

Joe,

Ana, the reconstrucion would be hilarious.
I can't see any reasons why innocent people would be afraid to come back. But I can see plenty why guilty people wouldn't want to come, though.

Ana said...

Cláudia,
If I had a friend with justice problems, if I was sure that he/her was innocent, I would be the first to offering my help! Even more if my friend’s child was missing!
I think any reasonable person would do the same thing!
This friend’s attitude speaks volumes!

Morning,

So, we're meant to believe:-

1. That the two victims of a child-abduction stall, for months on end, the idea of assisting the police (who are trying to find out what happened to their daughter) in a reconstruction of the night she went missing.

2. That the friends of these two innocent victims look unlikely to return to Portugal for the reconstruction - which is meant to help the police piece together what became of the McCanns' child - because 'they don't see the point in it'.

Even though the McCanns would be taking part themselves (if only thanks to the threat of being charged with neglect if they didn't).

Some friends, eh? Very supportive and helpful in a time of need.

3. That the McCanns and their wonderful friends are doing everything in their power to help the search for Madeleine.

We are meant to believe all this?

We are meant to believe the friends - doctors and estate agents or whatever they are - know more about solving crime than a national police force?

We are meant to believe that the friends of the McCanns care about what happened to the suddenly-disappeared daughter of their close friends?

We are meant to believe that everyone involved in this sorry story is entirely innocent?

And that nobody feels morally obliged in any way to take their just desserts for routinely neglecting their small children night after night?

I don't believe that they care any more what the public and the authorities think of them. I think they're just fronting it out now with the sort of attitude we saw from Gerry with his "find the body and prove it" quip.

They know they've long passed the point where they can be regarded by the public as innocent until proven guilty - a phrase beloved of the Pros, who don't actually understand what it's meant to represent, choosing to interpret it purely on a superficial level - so now the only thing they can do is to see how long they can keep themselves free from prosecution and out of prison.

Isn't it a shame that we're not automatically programmed with a moral compass as we are with lungs that inflate and deflate without us thinking about it.

What a different place the world would be then.

Morning All

Just reading back and I dont get it???

The McCann's have behaved since day one in the most unnautural way. I cant belive they were told not to show emotion (and if they were how the hell they managaed it?). In England when a child is missing the parents are encouraged to make a plea and apart from the obvious reason to try and get the child back the police have body language experts watching to see if the people speaking are involved.

What could be worse than loosing a child? I cant think of anything. If my child were to go missing I would crawl over broken glass to look for her myself not sit back in a room and play at Marketing (and if she is really missing it has to be the worst marketing of all time using the worse PI s in all time but then to be fair to M3 they are a fraud investigation firm)...

As for the friends Pact for gods sake if I had been so bloody stupid to involve myself in a shoddy scheme to check on children when I could be bothered I would feel so damn guilty that one of the children was missing and so releaved it was not one of mine I would be doing everything I could think of to help.

If the parents of the missing child insisted I said nothing (or whatever the pact involves then I would think what the hell is going on surley they want her found?

This is not a bloody game if you had nothing to do with the disapearence of your child speak up she was beautiful and is not in some happy place waiting for you to arrive if she really is missing she needs the truth of what and when people checked on her that night if it was not at all then maybe she was taken earlier and maybe someone saw it but have not thought to mention the number plate or whatever as you have told the world it was around 10.

I am more and more discusted by this sham every day. I cant think of anyone I know who would not do everything they could if their child were missing.

And what about the friends how can you be so damn sure one of them did not take her? What if one of them was doing something she did not like and she woke up screaming? Was anyone missing from the table for a long time did you ever think it could be them?

The McCann's can spin all they like but until they start to help the PJ and stop just saying they will I will not belive a word they say.

Madeleine deserves better a whole lot better and it does not look like a 3 year old child means anything in this bloody country. A 7 year old starves to death in 2008 and a 3 year old child is missing but the parents are far more important where the hell is this country going to we should all be ashamed but if anyone knows what happend to Madeline or has been keeping a secret about the times she was checked or what they were all up to they should be very very ashamed and if you think the guilt you feel now is bad give it a few years until one of you cant take it anymore and this nightmare will start all over again for you.

If there is nothing to hide answer the questions and return to PDL it is that bloody easy.

Hope,

You make several very good points.

For one thing, if the McCanns WERE advised in the beginning not to show emotion, this would have gone past its sell-by date a year later.

Did the same instruction apply to laughing when they thought the cameras were off them, I wonder?

And regarding the 'friends', how many people would not, certainly by now, have put their hands up and said, mea culpa, I WAS negligent, I admit it and will take the legal consequences for it is now more important to find Madeleine?

Everything they do - and don't do - digs them deeper into the hole marked 'guilty'.

I know when tragic things happen we have moments of Joy but some of the pictures not long after they look like they are having the time of their lives. Behind closed doors maybe things are diffrent?

Did you see the leaflets on the 3As??? They ask some very good questions xxx

LittleGreyCell said...

Hope,

The picture that sticks in my mind is the one where they are holding up a giant t-shirt with Madeleine's face on the front. They are being photographed by the local press, I think, and it looks for all the world as if they have just won the local gymkhana. It was taken last Julym I think, around 2 months after their daughter disappeared.

I think behind closed doors they are scheming about how to get out of being charged and prosecuted for neglect - or worse. I don't see how they could not show in some way the tiniest grief for Madeleine in public if they really felt it; it simply wouldn't be possible to put it to one side for private viewing only.

I did see the leaflet. It's brilliant!

Did you see the post - Ironside? - about Gerry belonging to one of the highest Masonic-like orders in Europe?

I did not read Ironside's Mason thing will have a look for it..

Yes the picture with the shirt was like they had won somehting it is the picture with the buggy on this page that I find un real they look so happy and carefree...

I am still hooked on Extreame Makeover Home Edition (and it has nothing to do with Ty's chest) the lady on their that they rebuilt a house for lost her daughter over 10 years before and you could see the emotion was still so raw for her when talking about her daughter and she now spends her life helping others find their own children it was really heartbreaking xxx

Gina shortly before getting herself banned sets up a second account. Apparently, last night we found out this is for her Mother, to be known as Ellie.

Gina, as we all know by her own admission went to the States and was supposedly helping her Mother post last night? Is Gina’s Mother also in America? If so, why would she need to go to bed at 00.43 UK time, in America less 6-8 hours say 18.45 US time? If not, and her Mother is actually in the UK or Spain, how could she help her post from overseas? Amazing dedication don’t you think!!

Hi Stella -

I hope you're feeling well today and the weather is not too bad!!

What you say about Ellie being Gina's mother - to be quite honest I'm completely mystified by it all. I must admit I've never heard Gina ever mention her parents, just her son and daughter in law in America. I don't know if anyone else has.

The point is, if Ellie lives in the UK then the time she went to bed wouldn't be an issue would it?
Just what makes you think it's Gina? You must have a good reason I'm sure, or is it just intuition?

Leigh seems to think she is bona fide - I'm none too perceptive and could be taken in by anyone unfortunately!

Let's see what Viv has to say later!

Good morning you all!
Thanks Viv for the article on the little girl that was let down by her family, school and bullied by her own classmates.

Sth that is almost unthinkable to happen in a country like England.Again, every country has its good and bad sides and this space here is full of great people that try to look for justice for defenseless children.

Although I haven't posted lately due to personal and professional things that need to be acomplished, I have been reading all of you with interest and admiration.

Many things could be prevented to happen if society wasn't so anonynous and selfish. Also parents are more concerned with themselves than with the education of their children. They should take the responsibility of teaching them tolerance for different people, races and religions. Teaching them important values so that they become right humans aware of what is right and wrong.Unfortunately, I agree with cameron's statement about the parents being the villains of this age.

It's hard to believe that among all the parents from Khyria's school no one have known about the bullying. Don't they ask their children at the end of the day how it has gone? If there was sth unpleasant at school? Not to speak of the negligence of the school itself.

As far as Madeleine is concerned, I'm glad we are already on the countdown to the reconstruction. Let's see the next developments and if they have the guts to come to PDL. If I were the PJ , I would do it with stunts as it happened in Brazil with Isabella's case.

I have just read the article on the Dm about the Jersey case. I paste here the link.

I sincerely hope the positive remarks in your second blog materialise!!

This couple and their pals have got away with their serious neglectful actions for far too long. As Joe said earlier, just why has nothing been done by the authorities in the UK about their returning home without their daughter due to their neglect!!

Could it be because, as LGC quoted Ironside earlier, that Gerry belongs to a very strong branch of the Masonic Lodge? I've always had my suspicions and I'm sure others have too, that he and his mates are being protected by their fancy friends in high places - people who have sway with virtually every branch of business in the UK! I think it's absolutely vital that his Lodge should be looked at scrupulously by the CID or some branch of the Intelligence!!

I think it was a rather tongue in cheek comment from Leigh last night - 'hello Ellies child' said it all. You have to play the games with children, don't you. Ellie's age is listed as 54, that makes her daughter very young, to young to have a son of her own?

Nancy, I think it was Mariana who also said Ellie and Gina are one of the same. All I'm saying is forewarned is forearmed...

It took me a long while to work out why no one has stepped in earlier, as you say from the UK to do something. Let me see if I can explain this in a much shorter version.

When a crime is committed abroad, you will have very senior people talking to each other from each country involved.

Why would any British arm of the Police, Child Protection Agency or SS, need to step in if they have been given assurances by the Portuguese that they will be charging them themselves at some point. It would be wasting UK time and would hinder the Portuguese. And this is why I strongly feel there are many here in the UK who already know what is about to go down, but it has been a very long waiting game to make sure all the pieces are tightly glued together to stop anything from falling appart to allow them to escape.

Criminals are never patient, always in a hurry...

nancy said...

Stella -

Of course 54 would be too young to have a grown up grandson, unless they all married and had children at 16 or so, but I hadn't read that Ellie had a grandson, grown up or otherwise, but perhaps I missed something!!

It's so confusing, so I'll drop the subject and leave it to see what happens,it's just that I'd hate to see someone who is quite innocent being ignored if you know what I mean!!

Off for a coffee - speak later!!

-----------------------------------
As far as the PJ's having something else up their sleeve if the child neglecters refuse to go back for the reconstruction, that could very well be - at least if they all decide not to co-operate, then whatever the PJ's decide will find more sympathy from the British Police I'm sure! They are used to suspects quite often refusing to co-operate and relying on their right to silence!

The tapas 9 know that they are going to look mighty suspicious if they refuse to take part in something that could jog someone's memory as to what really happened that night, so they must be in a bit of a 'will we, won't we' situation right now, but I think they'll try to save their necks and refuse.

As I said before the only way they'll go back if they are in a Crimewatch programme - CM keeps on about that - they will feel safer that way I'm sure because they are all cowards! Also they will all want to act the innocent victims in front of the cameras!

Not about Madeleine - poor little girl whose life has ended after a few short years!

Some one up above is really looking after me and sent me one of the best husbands in the world ever. He really enjoys cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing. There are not many of them to the pound these days, are there..

Okey is a bit like scrabble but instead of letters you have numbers, which you have to arrange in sequences. We bought it in Turkey many years ago, it is really good game. As the instructions were in Turkish we never worked out the rules properly, but got the gist of it watching them play in the streets out there. It is so funny we were playing on holiday once and a Swedish man and German woman joined in and we all had slightly different rules, so once we agreed the basics and got stuck in it all became very loud and very funny. It was nice to involve different countries in a simple little game. Even children can play.

Nancy, the only way I am going to get through what happened to Madeleine is to believe that she somehow gave her life to save other little children. If she makes changes to laws to prevent this happening again saving many other little children along the way, she has achieved what she set out to do when she entered this terribly sad world.

WE'LL CHARGE McCANNS
Mirror - 24/05/2008

By VICTORIA WARD

Portuguese police want Maddy parents tried for child neglect

PORTUGUESE police want to charge Kate and Gerry McCann with child neglect, it was claimed yesterday.

The couple could face 10 years in jail as cops are said to be tired of their "lack of co-operation" and plan to prosecute.

A Portimao courthouse source said: "We have more than sufficient evidence to charge them with negligence. They know that and that is why they are afraid to return to Portugal, afraid they will be arrested.

"They have not co-operated at all with the authorities which is strange for parents who are constantly appearing in public to say they want to find their missing daughter.

"Any parent of a missing child would have full interest in co-operating. The truth, however, is that the McCanns have not."

The latest development came after the couple were reluctant to take part in a reconstruction over Maddy's disappearance from their Praia da Luz apartment on May 3 last year.

It is now unlikely the reconstruction, scheduled for May 29, will happen.

The McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: "It is disappointing that such threats are being aired, even before the reconstruction has been finalised.

"The usual anonymous sources seem determined to issue threats when the Portuguese authorities should, in fact, be concentrating on looking for Madeleine."

He said legal advice the couple had received confirmed that they acted as responsible parents.

But Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas claimed prosecutors were tired of the couple's "lack of co-operation" and said the McCanns risked charges of "gross negligence" which could jail them for up to 10 years.

The idea of a reconstruction was floated several weeks ago but it would not be broadcast, and sources told the Mirror at least two of the so-called Tapas Nine were reluctant to take part.

The source said: "There are serious questions about the value of this exercise. What is its evidential value?

"Why do they want to do one now when it is not normal practice in Portugal and they had refused before?"

The source added no one had considered how Kate would feel watching a girl play the part of Maddy.

Stella,

Its part of the Mirror group just the Irish edition. There is also an Irish Daily Mail,Irish Sun, Daily Star, even The Times Irish version (not the Irish Times) in reality all UK owned papers with Irish slant but most of the stories are the same as the UK versions.

Its printed in the Irish Daily Mirror so as to get round any UK libel law as clearly the Mirror is scared of a lawsuit. At least wherever its printed here in Ireland , the UK or Portugal our friends will post in on the blogs.

I can assure you Stella Mitchell made no positive impression here and people just switch off from his monologue drone.

Hi Stella -

Your hubby sounds just perfect - a bit like mine, but even more so,because my husband helps me with lots of household chores, but I wouldn't say he enjoys it!! He'd rather be on the golf course! I must say though, he cooks a good steak and spanish omelette or tortilla!!

Okey sounds a bit like one we play which is called Rummicub - I also like scrabble and played with all the grandchildren to help with their spellings!

What does your PCT stand for by the way? It was just a thought, because if anything can help it's worth while, but of course there may be people it wouldn't help, for instance if you suffered from lung problems!

Nice to speak to you Stella - I enjoy your posts and if we can help little kids in any way then I'll keep on blogging!!

Hello Joe -

You take such a lot of interest in Justice for Madeleine, when it seems to be that mostly women give their time, so for that I take my hat off to you.

I can see that you, like the rest of us, are very angry at the way these child neglecters and their spokesidiot are seeming to be living on cloud 9 while little Madeleine has still to be found, dead or alive, poor little soul! And it's far too much trouble to put themselves out by assisting with the reconstruction, although Pinky I think is looking forward to a spell in PdeL by the sound of it!!

Thanks for the Irish Press interview - nice to know, as you say, that someone has the guts to come out and print something so contraversial at the moment - it seems most editors are all scared the hand of the libel judge is after them if they speak out! The only one so far is Jon Gaunt of the Sun, a newspaper I hate, but at least he has guts!

I'm off for an afternoon siesta now - the red wine has done it's trick!

See you later.

Hot mouth Clarrie :))a perfect name.

A justification crazy.

The delay in the responses of friends reside, according to Clarence Mitchell, in the fact that they are questioning the merits of a recovery now, a year after the incident, while the Portuguese authorities have rejected a proposal for reconstitution for British TV, Crimwatch the BBC, the year past. The friends are interloqués on the authorities' decision to seek the presence of real actors, believing that recovery should be done with actors! Friends would also like to know why, other guests and employees of the complex were not invited to this recovery. The "mental well-being of Kate" is another factor of concern according to Mitchell"If she sees her child being kidnapped before it, it kind of anguish this will cause him? Nobody seems to have thought about that!" Did not fail to emphasize Clarence Mitchell while denying that the couple, Kate and Gerry, had imposed any "condition" to travel to Portugal to participate in the reconstruction.

Hot mouth of the association faces as much nonsense!

It is the disappearance of a child and not a product marketing! As a professional police world, knowing perfectly techniques, knowing perfectly the profile of predators, kidnappers etc, we are shocked by the words of Mr. Clarence Mitchell! There is no reconstitution of a criminal investigation underway by a television channel! No player in the world can never replace the real protagonists in a recovery! Mr Mitchell should learn to differentiate between a human being, a girl of 4 years and a product marketing to distribute in a broadcast style Crimewatch or otherwise, to raise any broadcasting rights!!They do not realize a "parody" of the facts! We want to seriously know what really happened during the day on May 02, and in the May 03!
As for the fact of knowing why other guests and employees of the complex were not invited to the recovery, Mr. Mitchell should review their copy!He knows, like parents, friends, PJ, the press so that several reconstructions have been held with all the guests and employees this holiday complex on 2and 3 May last year! Each versions s'emboîtant perfectly in each other!

Finally, the state of "mental health" of Kate, referred to Mr. Mitchell, should not s'amélioré if one discovers what happened? The disappearance of Madeleine must be very affected, but the hope, however slim it is, to discover what could have happened should give him the strength and not the contrary!! Having regular contacts, sometimes narrow, with parents victims, we can say that this is a parent reacts!
Anyway, we just important to the association, whether the parents are guilty or not!If they will be convicted or not!Only what happened to Madeleine must count. This is the only thing that is important rather than any guilt or not parents! But we must be honest, since their departure from Portugal, where, for some, they abandoned a second time Maddie, parents and friends of the couple, seem to react as if anyway it was too late to Madeleine and the only concern that their stay is to get them and the twins away ... Recall that the PJ had said, under the runway of a kidnapping, there was absolutely no question of worried parents for negligence ...The abduction is the element precedence ...

We believe that Mr Clarence Mitchell need a holiday because it tells nonsense such heavyweights as him!

Hi Viv/all
This is a translated article from enfantes Kidnappes site,.

Friends wonder ...
May 24, 2008

Friends of the McCann questioned the usefulness of participating in the reconstruction

Kate and Gerry McCann will participate in the reconstruction of the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine after official notification of the Portuguese police, but their friends have questioned the usefulness of the procedure. "On the basis it is not within the purview of Gerry and Kate to decide whether or not the recovery, because they are suspects. If their presence is required, they will go!" guaranteed spokesman for the couple, Clarence Mitchell

Everything depends on friends of the couple, who have also been invited, but as they are not suspects, they may question the utility to participate and if this will help find Madeleine. For now the answer appears to be negative. The Portuguese authorities have failed to convince this single and simple question, "said Clarence Mitchell. The reconstruction of what happened the night of the disappearance of Madeleine has been requested by the PJ about a month ago with Advocates of McCann then by individual notices. The full realization of the recovery is possible only if the 9 English friends who dînaient together in the evening of the disappearance of Maddie is present. Three dates were proposed in May, two of them are already outdated. "We are increasingly close to the last date proposed (ie: 29 and 30 May) and I think it is unlikely that recovery takes place," says door still voice of McCann. The little time left to reconcile the agendas of all, makes it difficult to reconcile the presence of all witnesses who must apply for waivers to their employers and organize their trip to Portugal

A justification crazy.

Every single police man and lady I have met in the school I work in believe they are guilty as hell.

They manipulated the media and status obsessed celebrities at the beginning and these sort of people are not interested in what is right or wrong but merely their reputations. Thus they want time to occur before truly distancing themselves (IMO)

I know the upper echelons of the police are controlled by freemasonry and therefore they may well have been widely connected but I like you believe the police here are not happy with this couple and want them dealt with.

nancy said...

The inconsistencies in the statements from K&G could fill a book! On the one hand they are always insisting Madeleine is alive and in the next breath say someing like 'was' when talking about her!

Be sure your sins will find you out,and theirs will one day if the PJ's have their way - the only worry I have is how many of their powerful friends will make sure they don't ever face justice! Hi Leigh -

It looks like Greece is winning so far! I quite enjoyed it this year -not quite so boring as some years. I liked Iceland's song myself. I do find it goes on a bit too long nowadays though! It's a shame Ireland and Italy have quit the show!
-----------------------------------

Your post about Madeleine earlier and the fact there is no evidence of an abduction. That is absolutely right and a fact that none of the newspapers have given much prominence to.

I read somewhere that with modern DNA testing police forensic scientists' boast that if a human being had ever been in a room, no matter how long ago, given time they could find evidence. Just one skin cell that had escaped the vacuum cleaners, or a hair, or a clothing fibre. Maybe something 100times smaller than a pinhead, there would be a trace.

So for the McCann's to try and convince everyone that a predator had taken Madeleine when not one iota of someone else's DNA was found in the apartment, then I think they are just digging a deeper hole for themselves with all their lies.

The fact that Kate refused the cleaning facilities for the 3rd May just shows how worried they were something may have been found that pointed to their guilt! She also refused the baby sitting services for the night of the 3rd, so they seem to be making that hole into a crater!!

Nancy,

They have no choice. She is still alive according to them and she was a loving happy child when reporters ask them about Madeleine.

Is this the life Kate and Gerry (abd the tapas 7/8) want to live.

Been reading today about a case that happened in 1996. A man called the emergency service stating that he just got home and there was fire at his home. He could save his children but not his wife!

To be short, everyone is convinced that he was the one who started the fire/who killed his wife.

What I find very difficult is that he started a new life and conceived 2 chidren again.

But there are new evidence against him.

So is this what K&G want?

Eurovision hell is over.

Russia wins with a song in English, and a Spanish/European vibe, instrumental backing.

Fair dues. Am glad for it. Better to have jaw jaw than war war.

Atardi: it is bloc voting; I understand how you feel.

However, surely, it is better to have the Russians and Eastern Europe reaching out to us rather than resenting us. Just a thought.

One day, the McCanns' holiday friends may seek to reach out rather than close in on themselves for the sake of their self-preservation.

We'll see. Time tells all.

Doh Nancy!

Meant to say...'or Greece'. Silly me.

nancy said...

Leigh -

I think Terry is a bit fed up with the Irish entry not making the final and with the English one getting one of the lowest votes! I think the Russian one was good but not my favourite!

I do think it would be fairer if every country sang in it's own language though, because the English singer is at an unfair advantage with everyone opting to sing in English.

However, as you say, if it keeps us all from war, war, and makes us jaw, jaw, then that can't be bad!!

I wish we had a bit more jaw, jaw, from the Tapas 9 too!!

ta ra said...

And finally,

Khyra's biological father has said today that the contacted authorities two years ago about his daughter's safety.

Tsk. In the UK, we have paid servants of the State (our money, our sentiment), collecting a wage, regardless of whether they do right or wrong.

ta ra said...

Hiya Nancy,
Terry also said: This is no longer a musical contest.

He gets the point that Eurovision is now a political forum.

Atardi gets this too.

Hey ho. Better jaw jaw than war war :-)

Sad, but true.

ta ra said...

Nancy,

Re: jaw jaw from the Tapas 10 (and I do mean 10).

Game over. They had their chance, and they blew it.

Hey, Clarence? Oh, dear. Gordy goes down, and so does your client. Boo hoo.

Cláudia said...

Hello, everybody.
How are you all doing?

nancy said...

Atardi -

What a sad case - those poor children losing their mother in a fire! I hope for their sake that their father is innocent of starting it because they will suffer a double whammy poor kids!

As for K&G - I think what they want is to make as much money as possible with books, films, interviews, etc, and up sticks with their twins to live in some paradise far from the madding crowd.

However, I don't think they will get their wish because they have made too many mistakes which I'm certain the PJ's have picked up and are just biding their time to bring the two to justice!

I also think the rest of the tapas who left their children will be made to see the error of their ways and although they have never had the guts to come out and say so, they must be thanking their lucky stars that their children are safe and well - that's if they really all believe in the abduction theory, and I have my doubts about that too!

nancy said...

Hi Claudia -

Between blogs, some of us have been watching the Eurovision Song Contest - did you watch it?

Hope you are all sorted out now and having a chance to relax.

Leigh -

You always seem able to say what you want in a few words - I seem to go on forever!!

You have got me wondering who the 10th tapa is now!!

Go on - tell us!!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
Well, I'm almost settled, but there are still some details to care care of.
I watched the Portuguese song and then the vote. I always have fun during the vote because since it is mostly politics, I can guess many of the votes. I did tonight and I made my mum laugh a lot with my (most of the times right) predictions.

nancy said...

It's 12.40 now - the spirit's willing but the body's weak, so I'll love and leave you all now and look back at the posts tomorrow morning.

Pleasant dreams everyone!

Anyone...

Did England come last???

(Again)

ta ra said...

They can thank their lucky stars all they like. Game over.

They are guilty of neglect. That is a very serious crime. That is the crime that led to other crimes.

xo, darlings. Am tone deaf now after a night of Eurovision.

Boa noite y night night. Sleep well. Tomorrow is another day :-)

Claudia -

You are so right - it is a political show nowadays and the Eastern bloc has the advantage because there are more of them.

Portugal and England didn't do too well, or Spain either come to that - never mind, there's always next year I suppose!! I can see a few more countries pulling out soon though and in the end it will just be those left who are politically correct - if you know what I mean.

Good night and sweet dreams.

Cláudia said...

Hope4truth, pretty much... Sorry!

Hope -

Yes, they came last with Poland, and Germany!! Not good!! Actually I thought the English effort was better than many who got more votes, but that's how it goes!

Night Hope - see you tomorrow!

Nancy, I agree. Portugal was the 13th. Not good, not bad. But the song was absolutely beautiful. In the last few years we participated with ridiculous dance melodies in English. I didn't even watch it. At least this year the song had everything to do with Portugal and being Portuguese, with our soul. I was glad because of that.
Sleep tight!

Hope/Leigh,

Hello!

It's all over now, I've come out from behind the sofa.

What a strange evening...old brides, pirates and lots of scary blond women with extremely big teeth.

I liked the UK song, Leigh, it was very George Benson. To my mind it was the best bit of music in the contest, so naturally it had to come last. Do you know, just had a thought - I think I'll write to my politics professor at uni and suggest he instigates a course on The Analysis of Political Voting in the Eurovision Song Contest. Only trouble is, the students would have to watch the shows as part of their education. :(

Poor Andy Abrahams. If his career wasn't finished before this, I rather think it will be now...

LittleGreyCell said...

Well, the excitement's got to me and I'm off to bed now.

Staying awake, Nil Points.

Night all!

Ana said...

Hello everybody,

I think that Portugal did very well in the Eurovision contest, considering the Eastern bloc, 13th place in 25 countries, not bad at all!
I loved the Portuguese song this year and really love Vania´s voice.

docmac said...

Hello Claudia!

Where in the world is Beja? Apparently I perform my portering duties there. I'll see you for coffee in the morning :-)

"Is this a coincidence? Or is this something more sinister? What part does Docmac play in all this? By far, Docmac is the person behind the scenes pulling all their strings. he is the one who is going to get Vile into a lot of trouble and she cannot even see it coming, poor deluded mentally deranged woman. And all because the lady believes he is a doctor madly in love with her!

Docmac does NOT live in South Africa, Docmac lives in Southern Portugal and works at a hospital in Beja, but NOT, I repeat NOT as the head of a neonatal unit and he is NOT a doctor.
Docmac is a Porter.
Docmac actually meets one person off of the Vile blog for lunch occasionally and this poor deluded young woman is totally taken in by him.
She ought to ask herself why he is so reluctant to meet her anywhere near the hospital, or have her meet any of his friends!"

ratonthebeam said...

Eh? :-)

Cláudia said...

Hey, Ana!!! So did I. What an amazing voice she has!

Doc, lololololol
Well, I can tell you that Beja is in Alentejo and that is as far as I can tell you because I have never been there. I know it's very hot in summer and I also know that in Alentejo people are said to be very nice. Oh, and I also like the accent! :-)

Cláudia said...

Oh, and Doc, remember the text messages you sent me? My mobile service provider confirms they came from SA. How did you convince them to do that? ;-)

docmac said...

Hi Rat

Watch it or I'll pull your string amiga. The information is from a 'source' I believe. Not a named one, but a source nonetheless. These guys are good hey? ;-)

docmac said...

Claudia

I 'went' to SA to watch Orlando Pirates play Ajax Cape Town. World class football down there. Worth double the price of the ticket :-))

Ana said...

Beja is a regional capital of Alentejo, a beautiful historic city, with an arquitecture back to the roman times.
Worth a visit!

ratonthebeam said...

Huh. You told me you were a toilet cleaner, not a porter! Found out! All you medical types are always bigging yourselves up! :-)

Cláudia said...

Doc, that explains it! What a relief. I was almost believing you were a doctor who lives and works in SA! lololol

Ana said...

Sometimes we really need a good laugh! Ha ha ha aaaaaa!
They have nothing better to do Ah?!!

Cláudia said...

Ana, they would do better things if they could! ;-)

Ha Ha ha!

Cláudia said...

Well, Ana, I hope they are not watching me in this exact moment because my hair has had better days! lololol

docmac said...

Ana,
I'll do my best to visit one day. It sounds wonderful.

Rat,
Toilet cleaners are just normal people too. Even us grandmotherly ones. The grandkids say hi by the way. I've another on the way but I'm not sure I can climb the stairs to the labour ward for this one. We're not allowed to use the lifts any longer. They are reserved for 'heart surgeons' now you know.

Claudia,
I almost had you there :-)))))

Cláudia said...

You know, Ana, I have long hair and when the weather is rainy... :-)
Yes, Ana. If they could or if someone would help them! lolol

Ana said...

I meant: passes not pass!

I'll be in Europe soon, but Portugal will have to wait for the next time unfortunately. I would love to visit. I am going to Madeira in December though. Lightview, if you are reading it's still on!

docmac said...

SC, lekka my cuzzin :-))

Claudia, you are from Portugal. Do I need any other reason? ;-)

Cláudia said...

Well, probably not. But I was born in Germany. Doesn't that make it a little better? ;-)

docmac said...

Nein

Ana said...

Cláudia,
Of course they do need all the help they can get but, sometimes is too late for that! :)

Doc,

In December? Good choice and if are thinking to pass the year there, even better! Madeira is one of the most requested places to pass the year and one of the world’s best!

Cláudia said...

Doc, das ist nich schön! ;-)

Ana yes, going for a week to take in some fireworks. We are looking forward to it immensely.

Claudia, don't you 'schön' me. Go to sleep. You need to look for a new job on Monday. I don't see anyone offering you anything above minimum wage though ;-))

Cláudia said...

Doc, you mean a masters isn't enough to find a good cleaning job? After all I speak 3 languages and I can also understand a bit of French and spanish. Can you imagine the meaningful conversations I could have with all the brooms? :-)

docmac said...

SC, you take care too and fly safely when you do come down to see 'yourself' here xx.

Cláudia said...

Ana, don't worry, I'm not even sure if German people know how they learnt (the word that does not exist according with the stupid, ignorant pros) their own language! :-)

Ana said...

Cláudia,

Cláudia said...

Ana, let's face it, it's kind of difficult. Have you had Latin at school?

docmac said...

Claudia,

I have a whole 2 week course in cleaning studies behind me. I couldn't pass the last mentioned as the exam was just so hard. So I still have to live in that broom cupboard while I save up for another 5 years to retake the exam. The conversations in here are pretty intense so I hope you can cope ;-)

Unknown said...

HIya all it's viv, junior, assistant to legal secretary here, can I talk to you lot, I get 19p above the min wage so does that make me important enough, just wondered:-) I got promoted to this post after 15 years being the senior photocopier x I do feel very important now

Claudia, hva fuck er du spør meg?

Unknown said...

Hiya Claudia, before I could only afford to rent a small wooden garden shed on my wages, which could be very drafty and wet, but now I got such a big pay rise (23p per hour!!!) I might move into a trailer, if I can find one for no more than about £10 which I have now managed to save and think I can just about afford. The Salvation ARmy have also promised me a fourth hand bed, which is nice x

Ana said...

Viv,
Good, now the sky is your limit, must be!:)

docmac said...

Hi Viv

See my post at 00:00:00:00:000000

If you are that poorly paid you belong on another blog ;-))))

Cláudia said...

Doc, I have no idea about what you just said but the 'fuck er du' part doesn't sound that good to me...

Ana, I'm asking because people who had Latin at school have an idea about how it is to learn German.:-)
