PJ INVESTIGATION: INEVITABLE MADELEINE DIED

rocesso: PJ failed to discover the child's corpse Research reports abduction impossible Thirteen months after Madeleine had disappeared, the PJ concludes an investigation which is still marked by uncertainty. The final report shows that today the CM in isolation, does not determine guilt, but leaves new and strong doubts on the thesis presented by the parents of the child English. It describes in detail the steps taken by the researchers - who tried in every way, confirm the hypothesis - and shows that it was theoretically impossible to have occurred. They do not make sense to witnesses, nor how one of the friends says he has seen a man carrying a child around one hour before it was given the warning of the disappearance. It is Janne Tanner, which ensures there surprised the unknown in a street where he also was the father of Maddie and another witness. Both secured after having seen nothing, although the same angle of vision. Tanner, who later made a portrait of the supposed-robot raptor, says that the man took the child in a horizontal position. The size of the window shows that this could only have happened if the child was transported upright. Still, the PJ tried by all means find out who could have taken Maddie. They did dozens of steps to be suspected of sexual abuse. Have been collected on the registered elements that could have been on holiday in the Algarve during that period of time, to see if there any relationship with the small Maddie. They have also investigated the other users of the resort. The PJ entered into more than 400 homes from around the Ocean Club and found nothing. In the window where Kate said that Maddie was abducted were not collected traces of the girl. Only brands that confirmed the mother of the girl's DNA. The final report of PJ shows the details of an investigation that has reached levels never seen. It was investigated a couple allegedly tried to kidnap another child, were past the fine comb the tracks that gave to that Maddie had been sighted in a petrol pump. It operated a crematorium and compared the genetic profile of Madeleine with the body of a child found on the coast of the United States. The PJ investigated a supposed beggar and followed thousands of clues in the most remote places in the world. Debalde. Nothing confirmed this theory of abduction. PJ INVESTIGOU TRANSPORT One of the most lengthy research was to gather and analyse all the information on possible avenues of transport / escape, by land, sea and air. We also explored the images collected by tourists on vacation at the same time, but, again, no decisive found. This information was compiled in an annex all that is beside the process, with another only for those suspected of sexual offences. APJ also has a file of all individuals connected with violent crime, and esmiuçada the lives of those in detail. It was important to determine whether could have any relation with the abduction. MADDIE The final report of PJ does not give suggestions to the prosecutor. But lists the convictions of an investigation that points inevitably to the death of Maddie on May 3 in Praia da Luz MORE OF A TIME The CHORAR The parents of Madeleine never denied that it was a habit the three children being left alone inside the apartment in Praia da Luz while jantavam, as witnessed by several testimonies from officials of the resort, but defended itself saying that every night to visit the children of half in half an hour. The testimony of neighbor Pamela Fenn leaves completely undermine the version of the couple McCann, when assured the PJ have heard Maddie in tears during one hour and 15 minutes two nights before the crime. The British lives in the 1st floor above the apartment occupied by McCann and told investigators that on the night of May 1 last year, to 22.30, heard a child cry, that the sound would be Madeleine. The Judicial Police ensured that the child remained inconsolable one hour and 15 minutes, until their parents arrived. A neighbour heard the noise of the door at 23.45, when Kate and Gerry ended the normal coexistence with friends in Tapas bar - the restaurant of the resort where daily jantavam around the pool. This testimony contradicts the daily routine of visits that the couple was keeping with their children - and McCann is not free from criticism of other British. Yvone Martin, an official of the social security of British holiday in the Light, criticised the behaviour of negligent Kate and Gerry. DOGS FOR DECISIVOS PJ The actions of British dogs specially trained to detect odor of corpses and human blood that was decisive for Kate and Gerry were made defendants. Given the coincidence of the actions of two animals, which sinalizaram the same places and objects related to McCann, the authorities were obliged to admit any involvement of Kate and Gerry in the case of the disappearance of her daughter and provides them to the defendants face elements that could result in their prosecution - as witnesses could not refer to the silence. According cleared the CM, in the final report of investigation prepared by the Judicial Police investigators explain that animals have only signs of detection in places and objects related to the couple McCann: in the apartment where Madeleine disappeared (the fourth of the couple in the room, and be attached to the window side), in the backyard, the vehicle used by the family McCann (rented 24 days after the disappearance of the girl) in two pieces of clothing, Kate and Maddie in the plush - not that Kate dropped in the days following the disappearance . Already in the apartments of friends of McCann, in the village of Luz and on all vehicles used by Robert Murat, the first defendant to be made, nothing was detected by dogs. Faced with such evidence, reinforced by other expert examinations carried out in Portugal and England, PJ questioned Kate and Gerry and represents them as defendants. The animals, race springer spaniel, are widely used in the United Kingdom in search of missing persons or in the search for victims of murder, with positive results. KATE JUSTIFICA ODOR OF DEATH Kate McCann did not deny the fact that two pieces of clothing and plush of their daughter have been flagged by the English dog trained to detect odor of corpses and justified that with his profession. The mother of Madeleine argued that while the medical Health Centre Leicester, has witnessed six cases of death in the days immediately prior to his coming to Portugal on holiday, giving the same justification for the plush, Madeleine, which has accompanied the following months the disappearance of her daughter. 'A SENTI PONTAPÉ RABO NO' (Goncalo Amaral, former coordinator of the process madeleine mccann in the interview TVI) -- You are convinced that Madeleine McCann is dead? Gonçalo Amaral - I have this conviction. It is an interpretation in the light of law based on concrete facts, I have no knowledge of the investigation and carried out in steps. I am convinced that yes, that died there. -- If both parents have been made is because defendants were suspects? -- There were suspects and evidence for the constitution as defendants, moreover, strong elements on two types of crime: concealment of corpses and simulation of crime. That was public and when he left the investigation was in that foot. -- And the crime of abandonment, why parents are not accused? -- The question whether there is through the children were safe or not. It seems obvious, even if their own parents speak of abduction, that there was security. -- Do not be frustrated by no breakthrough in the case? -- Do not feel frustrated by the courts. Ando here for many years and I have great admiration for the judges. I understand how far can have the work of judges. -- Men do not understand why they came though? -- It does not. Respeitei the decision as a professional. There was an understanding between the Portuguese and English police that the girl was dead ed we had to solidify the evidence that existed and proceed to find where is that it could be. -- Do you think the reaction of PJ had to do with the politicization of the case? -- I think there was more political than police. But inside the ground did our best and never felt any defence. -- He felt the pressure of politics? -- I felt was a kick in the tail on 2 October. -- Do you think the normal case be shelved? -- I am not shocked. RECUARAM ENGLISH IN EXAMS It was the most remarkable volte-face in research. The first tests made by the English laboratory, regarded as pioneer in the analysis of trace organic, gave account of the likelihood of waste collected in the car of McCann be compatible with the genetic profile of Madeleine. Months later - after the Judicial Police already has moved to form accused of parents, according to the final report only on evidence that they hid the corpse of the child English - the laboratory was correct to informaçãoinicial. After all, the examinations to vestígiosrecolhidos naRenaultScénic rented by the couple were not conclusive and was not even possible to ascertain the quality of the material, or whether tratavade bodily fluid or a trace of blood. This change science, not yet completely settled, the investigation eventually lead to a dead end. The use of dogs to detect odors from cadaver or waste of blood is not validated in the Portuguese legal system was necessary and scientifically corroborate the markings canine. In addition, the option of the Judicial Police for submission of tests for England had its genesis in a matter of credibility. The researchers did not want that the results could be challenged by the English, then accepting that the remains were examined there. The IDA ENGLAND ACABOU BY SE REVELAR INÚTIL In April this year, Paulo Rebelo and two of the researchers of the process in which they tried to understand the contours of the disappearance of Madeleine Leicester were now investigating the English holiday on the beach of Light with the couple McCann. It is known now by the final report that nothing conclusive was found of such interrogations. The PJ out there who maintained close collaboration with local police, but anticipates that the testimony brought nothing new. The friends of McCann confined themselves to confirm what had already said in previous interrogations and PJ came out empty-handed this city north of London. CHANGE PauloRebelo, new leader of the research after the departure of Gonçalo Amaral, was repeatedly in the apartment of the Ocean Club, where they were collected the most varied traces. He was also in England, where witnesses heard. FIGURES 443 interrogations door to door in the Ocean Club apartments, made by PJ, are part of a total two million steps, formal and informal, carried out in research. 134 officials of the resort were heard by the inspectors in the days after the crime. The PJ also heard the 12 soldiers who passed by the GNR apartment the night of May 3. 130 elements police and Civil Protection were involved in the first 24 hours of searching. The following day the figure rose to 300. 188 boxes of trash were issued to fine comb in Praia da Luz, Lagos, in an attempt to find the body of Madeleine. 30 square kilometres is the area that the searches were extended to all land forces in the first days, in addition to the Maritime Police. NOTES 3 May 2007: DESAPARECE Between 21.05 and 22.00, Madeleine Beth McCann, of three years, disappeared from the apartment of the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz 17.30 only after the parents contacted with girl. 14 May: FIRST SUSPEITO The British Robert Murat is questioned and is accused. The PJ has made home visits and telephone tapping, but never managed to relate it with the crime being investigated. 4 IN AUGUST: BLOOD Two sniffer dogs, from England, detect odor of corpses and traces of blood in the apartment, in the backyard, in clothes from Kate. 11 OF AUGUST: MORTA One hundred days after the disappearance of Madeleine, and after searches with dogs in England, researchers admit publicly that the child may be dead. 7 DE SETEMEBTO: defendants Based on the performance of the team cinotécnica, Kate and Gerry McCann are again questioned by the Judicial and they also made defendants. 29 NOVEMBER: TEST OF DNA Technical Portuguese and English shall meet at the headquarters of Leicestershire Police to discuss the results of DNA tests on traces collected in the investigation. 20 January 2008: PORTRAIT The couple McCann discloses a portrait-robot on the basis of testimony. Later turned out to the man in question was not involved in the crime. VESTÍGIOS: DELAY The remains of the vehicle used by McCann were collected in August 2007. The results of the examinations should only take a few weeks. IML: TESTS IN PORTUGAL The first traces collected by the investigation were sent to the IML. The tests were not conclusive and also not helped the clarification.

Something is definitely not right here.

Murat's cars and Tapas cars, nothing detected. Ten cars checked. Only the hired by the McCanns was signaled. The final lab results did not confirm what the dogs detected, although the preliminary ones pointed towards madeleine's DNA profile.

Doc / Claudia

On 3A earlier somebody posed the question whether in Portugese the words for evidence and proof are as different in meaning as they are in English.

Cláudia said...

ICTOAN, evidence I think could be translated as indícios, i.e things that suggest that...

Proof could be translated as provas, which means fact, no doubts about it. Am I wrong?

Cláudia said...

188 trash bins checked, athe totality of trash bins in PDL.

Cláudia said...

The McCanns were not on bar/café paraíso that afternoon. The other Tapas were. Father Pacheco was interviewed.

Cláudia said...

On that evening Kate got two calls from a bar/pub in Vilamoura, from a friend.

Ivonne Martin interviewed. Método 3 heard by the PJ (at M3's request). The info was checked by the PJ and discarded, especially the info ABOUT MURAT!

Cláudia said...

A biological fluid/trace was collected and sent to INTERPOL to be checked against several databases.

ICantThinkOfAName said...

Thank you for that Claudia. My question was prompted by the 3A posting and my knowledge that in French sometimes the same word is used for subtly different but related words in English.

Sorry my Portuguese is non existant.

Cláudia said...

Kate and Gerry run away. Rogatory letters. A witness said that she saw Gerry in Lagos, on the 7th of May, next to an ATM, speaking on the phone and apparently saying: Please, don't hurt Madeleine.

The PJ believes it wasn't Madeleine because there is evidence he was in PDL 10 minutes before the 'sighting' (mobile info).

Madeleine's DNA compared to the body of the child found in the USA.

Cláudia said...

Sketch made public by CM. Jane said that there was 80% certainty it was the same man of her sketch.

Claudia, thanks for your magnificent translations :)

In the first days more than 700 people were interviewed. Lots of footage checked.

Good cooperation with the British Police.

All possible leads checked.

Reconstruction prevented by witnesses was intended to clarify:

- Jane Tanner seeing eggman but Gerry and Wilkins, who were also there, not seeing him.
- Matter related to the window.
- claryfying the timeline because with all the checks it would be virtually impossible for an abductor to have enough time to take Madeleine.
- claryfying what happened between 5h30 and 20h00.

Cláudia said...

ICTOAN and Southerncroos, you're welcome.
Doc, bloody e-mail me.

Cláudia said...

Rogatory letters: nothing new.

Not enough evidence to determine what happened for sure.

THE END

docmac said...

Claudia, I am on a conference call with 2 psychiatrist friends and an expert in child abduction right now. Could you please confirm to me that that is a DIRECT quote by the witness?!!!!

docmac said...

Ooohh, I am too excited. I mean could you confirm somehow whether that is 'verbatim'?

ICantThinkOfAName said...

I read on 3A ealier a suggestion that the files would only be opened to people who had an "interest" in the case. This would indicate to me that making the files public doesn't have the wide interpretation many of us have thought,

Does anyone know what the real situation is?

Cláudia said...

Doc, I can't confirm it because I wasn't there. It's what was in the file.

docmac said...

Yes, but if you can find out somehow it is REALLY important! Is it possible for me to e-mail the head of PJ or the AG office in English?

Cláudia said...

'Não magoem a Madeleine, por favor'. 'Don't hurt Madeleine, please'.

Cláudia said...

Doc, of course you can.

docmac said...

I feel like I've been slapped in the face with an ice cold wet towel. The moment I read that information about the witness I knew that if that is accurate, one or both of the McCanns are guilty of killing their daughter and concealing her corpse.I got in touch with some very experienced people who have given me advice before and they agreed, IMMEDIATELY.

Could you let me know who would be the best person to speak to, not on here of course.

Cláudia said...

Doc, I would contact the PJ in Portimão, because they are the ones who invistigated the case...

Cláudia said...

But don't forget that the PJ said it wasn't Gerry.
Have to log off for a bit.

docmac said...

OK, I've finished the call and I see I have replicated ICTOAN'S trick of clearing the room here. I'll go and lie down and think about this. I'm not going to be able to sleep now!!

Oh God! How did I miss this info before :-(

docmac said...

Yes, Claudia, that is exactly the point!!!!

Stonemaid said...

Doc, this is a private forum for people interested in justice for Madeleine - all of us would be interested in your Eureka moment, so do please share it with us!! There are so many private conversations going on here that I find it quite intimidating to post!!

Stonemaid

Cláudia said...

Doc, e-mail me later if you want.

docmac said...

Hi Stonemaid

I will happily share almost any thoughts I have or have had with anyone here. But I have been advised by people who are more experienced than I am at this kind of thing that this 'Eureka moment' could be a vital piece of 'stand-alone' evidence (if the report is accurate) and that I should be especially cautious with it. That is what I intend to do until I am advised otherwise.

Madeleine comes first. If it turns out to be useless or inaccurate I will happily stand up and tell it like it 'was'.

docmac said...

I have e-mailed you Claudia, but only to send me an e-mail address.

Stonemaid said...

Hi Doc
I see your point! Now it is me who wont be able to get to sleep either!!

I really do hope you have had such a Eureka moment that will prove to be the 'missing link' in the chain.

Good luck with it and do share when you can.

Stonemaid

docmac said...

And BTW Stonemaid, there is nothing to feel intimidated about here. Some of us have known each other much longer than we have others, that's all. I mean, I would be hesitant to go and post on the DM, Sky etc now. I have been a prolific poster on the DE and here, yet feel uncomfortable on 3A and don't post much there at all.

You are very welcome here, I wish you would post a bit more to be honest.

PJ refuses to abandon the MaddieCase despite the "McCann Case"

The Judicial Police is not ready to abandon the investigation to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann despite the announcement by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Republic (PGR) that the trial would be archived.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Portimão of the Judicial Police (PJ), who investigated the disappearance of Madeleine, "will be strengthened briefly," confirmed a source of the police statements to the Agencia Lusa.

According to the same source, the reinforcement of the PJ in Portimão claims cope with the possibility of new tracks or elements which could be analysed in the context of the case Maddie.

The National Directorate of the Judicial Police, led by Almeida Rodrigues, gave instructions to form any runway in connection with the case Madeleine "is immediately investigated."

The decision of the Public Ministry (MP) to archive the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and lift the status arguidos her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, was not greeted with surprise by investigators from the PJ or the British police: some investigators say "have been subjected to an agreement, which exceeds that and do not want the interests of the victim, Maddie."

"The case has become Maddie McCann case, we go from a police investigation ito a case of manipulation and political protections of justice," a British officer accused in statements to SMM.

"It is not a declaration of innocence"
The closing of the process "is not a declaration of innocence" of the parents of Maddie, recalled yesterday to BC Gonçalo Amaral. Woke up this morning thinking of Doc's most intriguing posts last night!! I hope someone will be able to pin something on the McCs very soon because otherwise they will be gathering in more and more money from interviews, books, and what about the film? As the DE reports: Kate and Gerry McCann refused to rule out taking legal action against the Portuguese authorities for wrongly making them suspects in their daughter Madeleine's disappearance.

There are some very good psychics out there and personally I would be interested to know what they have had to say to the PJ. I know that they get tarred with the same brush as the charlatans, but some really do have remarkable gifts.

Onwards and upwards folks!

I am so glad Portimao PJ are continuing to investigate, maybe that is why the McCann's look far from happy.

Unknown said...

Thanks Di and Morning all

500 posts! back to the glory days.

Did people notice Kate and Gerry were not only loathe to talk about sueing the PJ they also just did not want to answer the question wil you go back to Portugal, just no answer. How odd is that! If that was the last place I saw my baby just try and keep me away!!

Do they still have some reason to fear the police over there? Too right they do.

Claudia,, you were working so hard on here last night Hun, thanks as ever, you are a real little Portuguese Star who even writes in English far better than many we could mention! I find it fascinating that the Portuguese papers are quite happy to make full reports in the print edition but for some reason they will not put them on line. Doing so, it could be argued, would be acting entirely contrary to what the British and very possibly the Portuguese Police want. I think the McCanns are being played with and they are not off the hook at all!

I think it is right I start to pay you and Doc something more than bulk mailings of frozen concentrated orange juice:-)))))

Morning all!

Congratulations Viv!

Joana Morais has already part of the translation of the PJ report.

I'm glad the investigation continues.
The feeling here is that the PJ has worked against all odds and people know that shelving the case doesn't mean they are innocent at all.

Hi guys, just stopping by.
Viv, CM only puts the main story online towards the end of the day to make people buy the newspaper ibnsted of reading it online. It's always been like that with the main story.

No need to thank me. My pleasure. But I do want a raise in orange juice. :-)
Won't be around much this afternoon. Have some friends to visit.

Are Metodo 3 still in your employ

How do you feel about Amaral's belief that Madeleine died in apartment 5a? How do you feel about the evidence which the Portuguese police have to support this?

12:59 [Comment From kyle]
hello Clarence..why do you keep pushing the abduction scenario...when all the evidence indicates the opposite.

marga said...

Clarence Mitchell - Mr Amaral needs to be aware that his comments in his book will be closely read by libel lawyers. Gerry and Kate are innocent in the eyes of the Portuguese legal system and as a former police officer he will know he cannot imply any suggestion of involvement in Madeleine's abduction. Nor should he, as they were not involved in any way
_________________

Clarence Mitchell - The evidence does not suggest the opposite. The police examined all possible theories and, on that basis, the Attorney General has now clearly said that none of the former arguidos are guilty of any criminal act. Madeleine was taken. That is the truth
------------------

Clarence Mitchell - There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest Madeleine has been harmed, let alone killed. Gerry and Kate will continue to hope that she is possibly still alive, until it is proven beyond doubt that she is not.
---------------------

iansky -
The web chat has now finished. Thanks to Clarence Mitchell and all of you for taking part. See you tomorrow at 12.30.

1:04 Clarence Mitchell - Mr Murat's libel action and its outcome is entirely a matter for him and his lawyers to comment on.
---------------

Is this kind of chat common in Britain?

Or is it a new strategy among many others we have seen throughout those months?

Unknown said...

Isis, thanks and how lovely to see you back!

I heard Clarence Mitchell flexing his muscles about defamation and saying our lawyers will be reading the book so Mr Amaral needs to think carefully etc.

Why does Clarence always say "our" lawyers? Is it his over-inflated ego feeling he is important enough to make such a statement or is it that he genuinely feels he has a vested (financial) interest in all of this. I am suspecting that would be a bit of both but he very consistently says "our lawyers". Then why does he need one...um..Is that to carefully draft legal contracts or is it because he feels he may need a criminal lawyer just like the McCanns do.

If Mr Ribeiro does not like the idea of the case being shelved then again I am going to stick with my own feelings the British will prosecute but he would have liked to do so. There are politics involved in this, two countries that get on well and are striking a deal as to what would be best for them both. But by that I certainly do not mean by just letting the McCanns off, I still insist that is out of the question.

The old saying is a good and true one, if you give people enough rope eventually they will hang themselves. It continues to be a cat and mouse game and from seeing the McCanns on TV the McCanns are still the mice. Getting Kate to do all the talking, well is she really so much better than Gerry, reading a script, anguished rather than agonised look, looking down left, clicking her mouth in that insidious way when she is clearly nervous..It almost made me laugh to see Clarence and Gerry almost counting out the notes on the score sheet as she spat them out..

Unknown said...

Mandarin and Marga, again how lovely to see you both and thanks also for your kind congratulations. It has been a very tough battle battle but where in the end the Employment Judge and her panel members clearly formed a very adverse view of my ex employers behaviour, and as a public authority responsible for public cash they really should not plot and scheme to get rid of people who complain, that only got them sued again and again and finished costing them a lot more.

Victims do deserve justice, I am a firm believer in that and I believe, very strongly there is a consensus between dedicated police officers in both countries these two will be brought to justice, in the end. Stuart Prior has been over for a fair few conferences now, that would be expensive ! Like Portugal we just will not tie up senior officers and spend all that money for no good reason. They know beyond any doubt what the McCanns did and they will not let them off the hook.

I hope Goncalo goes ahead and calls their bluff because Claudia explained they would have to go to court and prove it, there would be no quick settlement.

I would add my own case was not a settlement, in the end they were criticised for defending the indefensible, e.g. constructive dismissal which given they already lost three times, they should have realised they had no chance of defending, it is this one that is going to really cost them! They are still contesting the sum for future loss of earnings and pension.

Hi doc!! Was it oldfield or payne who was said in the panorama doc was asked by gerry to check on kate and the children? Thanks ICTOAN I did indeed and I have now replied on that thread.

Isis, it was paedo Payne. I'm not sure if you saw the post I made giving the info on him. I deleted it later.

Unknown said...

Hiya Isis

Perhaps they can also explain why six weeks later when they had plenty of chance to think about it, they put that piece in what was Gerry's favourite paper the News World (dont know whether it still is) that they knew for a fact Maddie had been abducted because C Cat was placed on a high shelf. Of course we subsequently learned there was no high shelf and how odd of her to mention CC at that stage given the 100 per cent accurate dogs marked it as having death scent on it. I am sure she can explain all of this now and why they wanted to tell their story in this great and wholly accurate Sunday tradition:0))))Wasnt there even a comment at one time they wanted the Sunday papers readers to see their news bulletins so especially timed their press releases for Sundays. Hum..so did Clarence, wonder why he stopped all this crap about Maddie sightings, were Leics police getting too sniffy, or Interpol or the Serious Organised Crime AGency, as Goncalo has just said there were many British agencies involved and they all agreed Maddie had died in the apartment.

Doc Paedo Payne!! Remember he has not been made an arguido!! Once someone is accused of paedophilia the mud sticks and people will always look at him sideways, maybe the McCanns figured that one out and feel very resentful some mud has stuck to them? Just a thought. Of course there is the issue as to why a qualified surgeon chose academia ona much lower salary ona temporary post! Fiona would appear to be the major breadwinner!

Well on balance, and for a lot of reasons, it was good to make this blog private whilst things develop. Poor ST is like a fish out of water, shame.

So can you see it happening?

hope4truth said...

Hello ALL

Well the reporting on Sky has not been all fluffy and poor McCann's and the BBC news website has not even got them in the main headlines.

It will be intresting to see if they do Sue GA and the PJ must be laughing their heads off if they think they can sue them (Kate your beautiful daughter was missing and they wanted to ask you 40 questions so they could move on with finding out what happend to her and you would not answer them did you not think that your Beautiful 3 year old child deserved some answeres?) Is one of the questions I would ask her in a lible court...

They cant hide behind the secrecy now can they if only someone would interview them and ask them some real questions...

I also want to see the following headline on the front page of a national newspaper....

Kate and Gerry Happy to have had their Arguido Status revoked...

Then the joyus picture of them with the buggy underneath it...and then underneath that...

Oh sorry the above picture was taken before they were made arguidos 12 days after their daughter had been snatched by an evil peadophile gang (sorry readers we dont understand how they could have looked so happy at that point)...

Hmmm well I think the PJ are still intent on sueing them, so to speak, but in a criminal sort of way. WE are reminded the case can be re-opened and in fact that would seem likely given the McCanns do not seem to want to go there, or anywhere in Europe...it is almost like they have a complete aversion to such travel now. Well they did not in the early stages did they, on that private jet. Well funny why not publicise Amber Alert? Did that lose its appeal for some reason?

Hi Hope.

How are you? I went to watch Mamma Mia with my little girl and my mum last night. It was magical and both me and my mum were in tears - even during the happy bits!! lol! Little one had a happy gawp on her face throughout and I've just copied my ABBA album to take with her to her dad's. I was thinking through the film that it is so sad that Maddie will probably never get to do that with her mum and it was such a 'mum & daughter' themed film. My mum was probably crying because of this as I was crying because I felt so priviliged to enjoy that with my daughter. Sap that I am! If you haven't taken your girls yet, do it soon!

PS glad no fluffy reporting today. I would have had to throw-up! xx

Hi Dyl/Hope

My sister has seen Mamma Mia twice now and says it is brilliant. I have not seen it but hopefully will eventually.

Dyl, Why has the fluffy pink one gone so quiet?

Hope, I agree with you, if people saw how the McCann's acted just after their daughter was supposedly taken by paedos, their words, I think they would be shocked, I know I am. I suppose we are not blinkered because we see and read these forums, others only have the tabloids for information.

I hope Viv is right and there is more to come out.

Hi Doc

Just saw your psychic comment, I think I have done that a few times to you LOl.. not intentionally of course :o))

dylan said...

Hiya Di!

I have no idea but I assume it's not good news for Clarrie and his McCann clan! Hope said that our press haven't been in such sickly sweet ecstasy as was predicted. Also Marga said, (hello Marga!), that the McCanns are planning to sue on the release of the book. I hope they do as I'd love to see them wriggle out of what the book raises. Viv said that this is how Archer was caught out - sueing and then a subsequent, successful counter-sue because it turned out the allegations were correct:)

GA must be sure of what he has written otherwise he wouldn't dare release it. I am willing to bet money on the gruesome twosome not sueing as they're evil but not that stupid!

Isis - lovely to 'see' you here again. I trust you have been well?

xx

PS, Marga - I am waiting for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over and over! My son will hate me ;)

dylan said...

Ooops! Sorry. That 'PS' was meant for you Di! xx

Di said...

Hi Dyl

I will await the DVD..

I know many people have been shocked that the arguido status has been lifted on the McCanns, myself also.

However after speaking to my hubby, he is not at all surprised. His opinion is the PJ did the right thing as they now cannot hide under the arguido status anymore by saying "we are unable to talk about that etc." The press can ask any questions they like and should be able to get answers. Will they though as Clarrie seems to still be saying, only agreed questions please!!

Just maybe, there are journalists out there who are prepared to take the bull by the horns and get some real answers. Or is that wishful thinking on my part :o((

Perhaps you readers might appreciate this e-mail I have just received which asked me to pass on the message.

BEING A MOTHER...

After 17 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.'
* * *
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been alone for 20 years, but the demands of my work and my two boys had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
* * *
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
* * *
'What's wrong, aren't you well,' she asked?
* * *
My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of bad news.
* * *
'I thought it would be pleasant to spend some time with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us.'
She thought about it for a moment, and then said,'I would like that very much.'
* * *
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her
house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last birthday on November 19th.
* * *
She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. 'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said, as she got into that new white van. 'They can't wait to hear about our date'.
* * *
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my
arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only
read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at
me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. 'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,' she said. 'Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor,' I responded.
* * *
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation- -nothing extraordinary but catching up
on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie.
* * *
As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me
invite you.' I agreed.
* * *
'How was your dinner date ?'
asked my wife when I got home.
'Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.
* * *
A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her.
* * *
Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife.
You will never know what that night meant for me.

I love you, son.'
* * *
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU' and to give our loved
ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till 'some other time.'
* * *
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get backto normal after you've had a baby.... somebody
doesn't know that once you're a mother, 'normal' is history.
* * *
Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct .. somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
* * *
Somebody said being a mother is boring ....somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.

Somebody said if you're a'good' mother, your child will 'turn out good'....
somebody thinks a child comes with
directions and a guarantee.
* * *
Somebody said you don't need an education to be a mother.... somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.
* * *
Somebody said you can't love the second child as much as you love the first .... somebody doesn't
have two children.
* * *
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour and delivery....
somebody never watched her 'baby' get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten ...
or on a plane headed for military 'boot camp.'
* * *
Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married....somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother's heartstrings.
* * *
Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last child leaves home....

somebody never had grandchildren.
* * *
Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her....

somebody isn't a mother.

Portuguese police's final report on their investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance was apparently leaked online today.

The lengthy document was posted on a newspaper website the day after prosecutors shelved the case and formally lifted the suspect status of the little girl's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann.

The couple's lawyers in Portugal are still awaiting official notification that they can now examine the police files in detail.

It is hoped they will gain access to the dossier, thought to stretch to 13 volumes, by the end of this week.

A 57-page report dated June 20, 2008 and written by an Algarve-based inspector with the Policia Judiciaria - Portugal's CID - was placed on the website of the Portuguese newspaper Expresso today.

McCann family spokesman Clarence Mitchell criticised the apparent leaking of the document.

He said: "As always we simply will not comment on anything that appears to be from the usual anonymous sources.

"If any elements of the police report are being placed online, that would not only be wrong, you have to ask yourself who is behind it and why.

"Gerry and Kate's lawyers in Portugal will be applying formally for access to the complete file and they will be analysing everything in it in their own time without making elements public at this stage."

The leaked document appears to be a summary of the huge police dossier which was handed to prosecutors at the start of this month.

It details the many leads that Portuguese detectives followed up - including interviews with resort staff, witness sightings and house-to-house inquiries at 443 properties in the village where Madeleine went missing.

The McCanns, from Rothley, Leicestershire, hope the opening of the files will provide fresh leads in their own private investigation into their daughter's whereabouts.

Mr and Mrs McCann will "bide their time" before speaking out on the police inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance, Mr Mitchell said today.

Legal action against the Portuguese authorities is an option, but that is not the couple's priority, he added.

Mr Mitchell said: "It's going to be a long, slow process, both for the lawyers in examining the volumes and for Kate and Gerry to be informed of their contents and whether there's any need for legal redress.

"The priority has always been finding Madeleine so the investigative work is first and foremost.

"If there are any leads from the files, for instance new sightings, that's what the private investigators will focus on in the first instance.

"The question of legal action remains an option but that is not the priority right now. It is something Kate and Gerry will take advice on from the British and Portuguese lawyers."

Madeleine was nearly four when she vanished from her family's holiday apartment in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on May 3 last year as her parents dined with friends nearby.

The leaked police report reveals that detectives made the McCanns "arguidos", or formal suspects, in September in the light of sniffer dog searches and initial DNA test results.

This was because their inquiries had flagged up the "slightest chance of their involvement with a possible corpse" in their holiday flat and hire car, it says.

The couple denied the allegations in their interviews, the report notes.

A "cadaver dog", trained to sniff out dead bodies, picked up a scent in the McCanns' apartment and on clothes belonging to Mrs McCann and Madeleine, according to the document.

It also scented death on the key of the Renault Scenic hire car rented by the McCanns 24 days after the little girl went missing, it says.

A second dog apparently detected blood on the key and in the boot of the car, as well as in the apartment.

Preliminary forensic analysis on samples recovered from the McCanns' hire car raised the possibility of a match with Madeleine's DNA profile, according to the leaked report.

But the final results could not match the material to any particular person - or even establish whether it was blood or another type of body fluid.

The document also suggests that Madeleine was left crying in her family's holiday flat for more than an hour while her parents were out, two days before she went missing.

Pamela Fenn, a retired British ex-pat who lives upstairs from the McCanns' apartment in Praia da Luz, said she heard the child wailing from about 10.30pm to about 11.45pm on May 1 last year.

Mrs Fenn said Madeleine only stopped crying after she heard the sound of the door when her parents came back.

This "calls into question" the McCanns' insistence that they checked on their children every half an hour, the report says.

I am so glad you have posted the above.

My father died suddenly whilst on holiday, and I never got the chance to tell him I loved him.
It is something which will live with me for the rest of my life.

The only thing which keeps me going is the very last time I saw him, he had the happiest smile on his face after something I had said, I can't remember what I said but I will never forget his smile.

Trust me, make the most of your family whilst you can.

Sadly, my Mother died in sad circumstances as well, but she was with me for much longer than my father and she knew I and my brother and sister loved her.

ICTOAN..

I am so glad you posted this tonight, I have had a cry but it has been good for me.

However, after my father died, I realised I needed to let my mother know how much I loved and appreciated her, even just for the little things she did without even realising it. It is so easy to take family for granted.

ICTOAN, Have just read that, worrying if true.

Isis, thanks for that link. I am glad my trusty read, The Independent has printed some of the incriminating stuff. They may think that they have got away scot free but I think not ;) I am fine thank you.

ICTOAN, thank you for the email you posted. It was really touching. I always wave to my daughter through the cloakroom window when I drop her at school in the mornings and I carry on waving until she can no longer see me nor I, her. Occasionally she forgets to come to the window & I am left heartbroken with an uneasy feeling. Superstitious sillyness, I know, but once she fell and cut her head really badly at school and I had to leave work to be by her side in the hospital & I've never forgotten it!

Di, I really feel for your and ICTOAN's loss too. I am glad that you can find comfort from your memories and I am sure that your parents knew that you loved them very much. I believe that it is actions that speak so much louder than words. xxx

So can you see it happening?

What was said in the dog programme? Were they shown to be very reliable?

ICantThinkOfAName said...

Doc

Yes

I was a ten minute segment in an hours programme.

There were demonstrations of their ongoing training. The main emphasis of their "live' work was Jersey. PDL was almost an afterthought though it was acknowledged that they became famous because of their work there.

When I think of the McCannan punishment(what they do deserve), I have often been thinking of Lady Di! I think, it might end up in "some sort" of the same way - just with an opposite sign!

For reasons you all are aware of Lady Di will never be queen! She deserved to become a queen, but technical it was/is impossible.

The People of UK made her "Queen of Hearts".

McCanns might never see a courtroom from The Inside, BUT they will be judged anyway.

They will for the rest of their lives be judged by The People. Not only in the UK, but from around the World.

They will to the end of their lives have to answer questions and will forever be beglanced, where ever they are.
They will never be free. Their worst nightmare has just begone. People will turn their back against them - leave the room they enter - look at them, some with disgust others with pity. People will point their fingers - talk behind their back. All Mammon in The World they can have. There is no envi. They shall live their life lie and on the evening of their lives they might ask themselves : "Was it worth it? The Glory, the Fame, the Limelight and all the money?"

If the answer is YES, it was worth it, I have no more to say but : "You are evil - Get away from me".
If the answer is NO, I only have this to say : "Too bad, too late. May The Lord forgive you".

Thanks for some very interesting postings everyone! Doc, you said I should post more, but honest, there is so much to read that I don't have time to post as well!!

ICTOAN, your 'mother' story was so touching and sad, but thank you for posting it.

Doc, I was interested in this post of yours: "I have e-mailed the PJ in Portimao and Lisbon with my thoughts and sent a copy to Claudia for safe keeping. Hopefully it will be of use to them." Fingers firmly crossed.

Thank you to those of you who sent a message of one sort or another. It was appreciated!

I'm usually around later at night, but this was yet another 'reading' event. Sleep well.

Link i put up for you ICTOAN doesnt work so here is the article compliments of "primavera" at the 3As.......Plus d'une heure à pleurer.

Over an hour to cry.

Madeleine's parents have never denied the fact that they left their three children alone in the apartment while they went out to dinner in the evening. A fact which is also confirmed by members of the Ocean Club staff. The parents have always stated that they went to see the children every half hour on every evening. Remember that at 19.00 in the evening, in Portugal, in May, it is as light as mid-day. The statements from the neighbour, Pamela Fenn call into question the parents' version. She guarantees that she heard Maddie crying for an hour and fifteen minutes two nights before her disappearance. The British woman told the inspectors that on the night of May 1st at 22.30, she heard Madeleine crying. She confirmed to the PJ that the child was inconsolable for 1h15 until the time the parents returned. The neighbour heard the sound of the door of the McCanns' apartment at 23.45, the time the parents usually returned in the evening. Yvonne Martin, security employee for the Ocean Club had drawn the attention of the parents to their carelessness concerning their children.

Yvonne Martin has been described in Correio da Manhã as a Social Worker.

See: www.mccannfiles.com/id129.html

half way down the page under the heading:

OVER ONE HOUR CRYING

the previous link I gave you was a result (not sure) of discussion arising from that article.

Your posting was my first knowledge of an employee at the Ocean Club of that name. Are there 2 YM's?

Sorry I can't help with an explanation.

F*kc those posters on 3A are an irksome lot. Does anyone have any background on 'cushty' for me?

Thanks ICTOAN, not much fuel for the fire then.

Claudia

I hope you enjoyed your day out.

I wonder if you can answer this question:

The files are or will be soon open to scrutiny. The PJ are intent on carrying on with the investigation.
Do they have to make public any new evidence they gather?

ICantThinkOfAName said...

Doc mac

At the end of the section on PDL the commentator said something like:
"Their discoveries left an even greater mystery".

I'm not sure if the wording is accurate but that was theimpression of what was meant.

Rori Hegarty said...

ICTOAN, i really do not know. Sorry.

Hi, ICTOAN

Thanks, I did.

No, they will not have to make public new info they may gather because that is another separate investigation. Although I have no legal background, I am pretty sure about this.

ICantThinkOfAName said...

Claudia that was a very long time for we to hold my breath.

Please in future pounce quicker.

I don't know if you saw my earlier question to you so I will pose it again.

The files are or will be soon open to scrutiny. The PJ are intent on carrying on with the investigation.
Do they have to make public any new evidence they gather related to this case?

ICantThinkOfAName said...

I see you answered my question as I was re typing it.
