MR YATES WAS SYMPATHETIC TO THE MCCANNS, HE IS ALSO VERY SYMPATHETIC TO NEWS OF THE WORLD STRANGE THAT

From Glamour Dream to Drag Queen, prematurely aging Brooks fears she may go to prison and is to appear before the Commons Select Committee who are  taking no prisoners.  Her incarceration would be justice for all the lives she has ruined as she presided over the worst example of British gutter press.  I suspect she no longer goes horse riding with Cameron as he throws her to the wolves in an attempt to save himself.  She is turn has thrown Coulson out with her dirty bathwater and he already wears the sad frown of a prisoner.

Home Office launches secret review into Madeleine McCann's disappearance

The Home Office has secretly begun a review that could lead to a fresh police inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

The move follows the release of 2,000 pages of evidence last week which Portuguese detectives are accused of having failed to fully investigate.   (oh really??)
According to sources close to the McCanns, Alan Johnson, the Home Secretary, has ordered officials to examine the 'feasibility' of British or Portuguese detectives looking afresh at all the evidence.  (The ball fell on the wrong side of the court for Kate and Gerry McScam, they wanted it to be Portugal as only they could investigate what the McCanns want investigating, a stranger abduction,  tough luck for them they still got Brit cops which means they are still prime suspects, try as they might to change that view)
Kate and Gerry McCann met with Mr Johnson last year to plead for help in their search for Madeleine, who vanished without trace in May 2007 from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal.
The couple have also met with John Yates, the Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner, who has headed up a number of high profile inquiries in recent years.
He is said to be "sympathetic" and to have made "general offers of assistance".  (Well we all know how trustworthy Mr Yates is, don't we?)
The source said: "The latest we have heard from the Home Office is officials are undertaking a 'scoping exercise' to look into the possibility of a review of the case.
"They are looking at all the options. It is basically a feasibility study.
"Kate and Gerry met with Alan Johnson to request a review is done. Hopefully any political intervention can unlock obstructions that might be in the way."
Pressure is now being put on Portuguese authorities to agree in the first instance to a three-day review of the case that could be held at Interpol's headquarters in Lyon in France.
The McCanns will hope the Home Office can persuade their Portuguese counterparts to co-operate in a case review.
The review – were it to go ahead – would involve British police working with Portuguese counterparts as well as experts in child abduction across other European forces.
The Portuguese police have been heavily criticised for their handling of the case which led to detectives naming the McCanns, both doctors from Leicestershire, as arguidos – or suspects – in the case and accusing them of involvement in her disappearance.
Their arguido status was subsequently lifted and the police investigation shelved.
But with the senior officer in charge Goncalo Amaral now widely discredited and facing financial ruin after being sued for libel by the McCanns over a book he wrote, it may become harder for the Portuguese to refuse the request for a thorough review.
The revelation that possible leads – many passed to Portuguese police by the McCanns' own private detectives – had apparently been ignored will add to the clamour.
Last week, details emerged of a series of possible sightings of Madeleine, who was just three when she vanished.
Guilhermino Encarnacao, who was in charge of the Policia Judiciaria in the Algarve, died two weeks ago from stomach cancer.
Mr Encarnacao was convinced Madeleine had died in her parents' apartment and was a major source of a series of off the record briefings to journalists against the McCanns.
A Home Office spokesman said: "We can confirm that the Home Secretary had a private meeting with Kate and Gerry McCann.
"Leicestershire Police stand ready to co-ordinate and complete enquiries if further information comes to light in the UK; or if requested to do so by the Portuguese authorities, who continue to lead on the overall investigation."
The spokesman refused to discuss what talks took place at the meeting or whether there was the chance of a review of the evidence at Interpol.
The spokesman added: "We are not going to comment on the outcome of any private meeting with the McCanns."
Mr Yates was unavailable for comment. He led the cash for honours investigation and was also involved in a new inquiry into the murder of Julie Ward, who was murdered in Kenya in 1988.

Of course the DT is a very right wing newspaper, that pours out from the wording of this article, but still that link to the McCanns is there.

Why did Deputy Commissioner Yates, famed for investigating the rich, have a chat with Kate and Gerry McScam? Maybe all is not what it seems however, he did put "Lord" Archer down for four years!

McCanns' detective searching for girl in a wig seen with two 'gipsies' 04 Mar 2010
More than 50 new leads in Madeleine case 03 Mar 2010
McCanns criticise police for failing to follow leads 19 Feb 2010

But even here, I just cannot help but wonder if the press are just taking the mick with the links the DT have above. Three years later gypies are seen with a girl in a wig??

If, as the McCanns say, no police force has been looking for a live Madeleine since the shelving of the Portuguese investigation even they appear to be telling us, indirectly, that she is dead. It may also be the case though that they give up on trying to find out what the McCanns did with her and are waiting for them to trip up. After all, Kate sometimes reminds us Maddie is being used for child pornography in the hands of paedophiles, and then on other occasions she tells us there is absolutely no evidence she has come to any harm. Either way it sounds like she knows, so why not just tell the police the truth Kate?

You really only have to look into the aging faces of Rebekah Brooks or Kate McCann to know they live with a terrible burden. Sometimes from a personal view point I would have thought that life could be even worse than just getting it over with and admitting the truth, but maybe that is just me and I am not in that situation of being a party to something so terrible.

Hi Viv

I hope you are following ExNOTWjourno2 on twitter she is making some very interesting revelations. As she has pointed out, she has been sacked and has now nothing to lose, and is determined to spill the beans no matter what!

Clarence, corrupt!

McCann case, Gerry works for government in radiation dept, Cover up.

Marie is also stating that Piers Morgan had a 3 year affair with Rebekah Brooks.

Where is this all going to end?

Hiya Di

My impression is sad attention seeker trying to derail serious discussion.

Almost predictably I suppose, there is a huge thread on MM about this sad faker, they even desperately hope some journalist is going to reveal something about the McScams.

Most journalists know the law and what sort of trouble they could land themselves in for damaging an ongoing and very serious police investigation.

What has this so called ex NOW journalist revealed, zilch! Oh, but she has recycled some old news.

Following nutters like this and suggesting they seriously help the cause of Justice for Maddie must be like music to the ears of Kate and Gerry McScam, it clearly labels them as a bunch of nutters. No serious person interested in justice could bear to spend more than a few minutes reading this crap on Twitter.

Sorry Di, but I have to speak as I find, as you know :-)))

Hi Viv

No problem. When Marie went cryptic she lost me anyway, what is the point in saying you are not afraid to reveal all, then use language that very few understand. She does have alot of journos following her though, but as yet none seem to have made any comment.

Well it would be nice to be proved wrong on this one Di and for her to start spitting something out that is worth hearing. But, ahem, I am not holding my breath, sorry Rosiepopsx
