In that case you are a better person than me! I read the DE from around September, I think, but never dared to post as I saw how much abuse the antis were receiving from the pros who resorted to bickering and bullying.
When I found viv's site, I was really chuffed. It's a great forum and has been so very civil up until the trolls invaded. Now I find that I can stick up for what I believe, so maybe I shouldn't have been so scared!
What I believe is that the McCanns serially neglected their children and there is no doubt that that resulted in Maddie's "disappearance". I really don't understand how the pros constantly defend this.
As far as Amaral is concerned, I think if i had been interviewing a sick and twisted parent who dismembered or allowed her own child to be dismembered in order to cover up murder, I think I would probably have smacked her too.
Why is it that the pros find triumph in such sickening circumstances, such as a child's murder? - and then twist it to suit thier own arguements? Oh, and slate the entire population of another country in the process.

Dyl, Totally agree with your post, We as a family love Portugal and spent many a happy year there with our children, from a very young age, but NEVER would we have left them on their own in either the hotels or the villas. During the evenings we went to several restaurants and found the children were more than welcome, in fact they were doted on by all staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. We all have very fond memories which is why I find it so hard that their country is being judged so badly by the pros and press.

Di - that's a lovely thing to say. I may be wrong but I believe the portuguese really love children as do other nations such as Italy. To them, children are their whole world and that's why they are so welcome at restaurants. I think us Brits should take a leaf out of their book! I used to teach in a school where there was a high percentage of Portuguese children. They performed really well, academically, as thier parents were wholly supportive and I NEVER had any behavioural problems with them. I wish I could have said the same for the local kids!

I tend towards thinking whatever happened, happened on the 2nd.
Maybe after the Mcs got back from the restaurant, or on their way back and I think Gerry was angry that he had been called back.
I didn't believe this until I heard that Maddie had not been seen on the 3rd at all. I cannot think of a reason why it would have happened on the 3rd because if it did, it would have had to have occurred before they went to the taps bar. If it did, and they were there, what would be the reason for the cover-up? (only reason there could be is if they sedated the children and didn't want it to show up. Also can't justify the fine mist of blood. I think if Maddie had had a fatal accident on the third, theywould have called the police and ambulance straight away without a thought about the medication.
I think the 2nd is the most plausable and accounts for the dogs picking up 2hr cadaver scent. Also don't see how they had the time to clean up and set the scene for abducion on 3rd. Kate had booked a babysitter the day before then cancelled. That suggests that the unforseen accident happened somewhere between the night of the 2nd and when the sitter was cancelled on the 3rd.
All very confusing. I don't believe what some do that Maddie was murdered. It just doesn't sit well with me.

If you want to copy and paste (cut means move it to another place so you want to copy) you...
Put your mouse at the end of the line you want to copy
So in the above sentence you would put your mouse after the last word (copy)...
Then hold your left hand mouse button down and drage it from the end to the begining of what you wish to copy (highlight it)
Then take your finger off the left hand button (it should stay highlighted)
Then put the mouse arrow in the middle somewhere (it dosent matter where but I like the middle)
Then use the Right button on your mouse and press it (right click)
And a list of options will come up choose copy..
Then go to where you want to paste and right click again and choose paste...
Job done...
In the address bar you basically just drag the mouse in the same way and that creates a link automatically (very clever)

One of the most obvious differences between the antis and the pros on DE was exactly what you mentioned. Most of the pros have always behaved in a cowardly way. They implied, they accused without naming names, they hide because they cannot face opposition (that happens when people defend what cannot truly be defended) and they hide behind the anonymous option to defend child neglecters (I actually understand them. If I defended criminals I wouldn't want people to know who I was). My question is, why are they this desperate? Lately it has been more than obvious.

I have certainly seen some abuse on here tonight from Psychopops but do not intend to remove it because I want people to recognise that prose and remember just what we are fighting against here - pure evil! A person that shows pure hatred to those who will bring him to justice, like the wonderful Goncalo Amaral who originally amassed all the evidence and put these two very clearly into the category of prime suspects - rightly so! Pure rage for psycho though because it stops him from all those lucrative deals he so desperately wants - remember Psychopops why not ask the Americans for £2M - they can afford it? No compunction about selling his dead little girl and no compunction about earning a good salary but robbing poor people to keep him in luxury. Sell assets to find Maddie? Hardly, the gruesome twosome increased their assets considerably, at everyone else's expense, rich, poor, they have no concern about who they rip off selling the image of their dead little girl that they killed. This will get them plenty more years jail time. Just what they deserve - then they can definitely forget the life of luxury - I hope they think it was all worth it and all their fame in the press. They will continue to get plenty of infamy on here!

A private detective linked to the agency hunting for Madeleine McCann has been arrested on suspicion of helping a gang smuggle £25million worth of cocaine.
Retired police officer Antonio Jimenez, 53, was remanded in custody on Thursday by a judge investigating the loss of half a ton of cocaine from a container docked in Barcelona in 2005.
Jimenez was a business partner of Maria Fernandez Lado, 57, founder of Metodo 3, the agency charging £50,000 a month to search for Madeleine.
Spanish police had the container under surveillance following a tip-off.
But Jimenez, then a chief inspector with the Drugs and Organised Crime Unit of the National Police, is suspected of providing vital information to the gang.
He retired from the police shortly afterwards.
The cocaine was smuggled into Spain in 974 packets on the ship Hispanota, which was transporting frozen prawns from Venezuela. It docked in Barcelona in November 2004 and the drugs were taken on January 24, 2005.
Five officers from the Civil Guard have also been arrested and remanded in custody.
A serving police officer has been arrested and released on bail.

I did not say Anorak had closed down, I said it had died.
Yesterday afternoon when there would normally have been at least 500 postings there were 67. Of the 7 posters - 6 were well known Pro Mccannites.
I have been there for long enough to know that the posters who count are no longer there, some like Hideki, Tony Bennett, were kicked off for libelous comment and the others just stopped posting. It became a chat club with the occasional Madeleine word spoken.
I find it very sad, it was a great forum.
I wish they had remained with an american server then perhaps they would not be as concerned with libel.

Can you remember the name of the Portuguese man who's making a documentary on the case from PJ's and the Portuguese standpoint? The reason I ask is because after the case is finally done and dusted, and secrecy laws no longer apply, all the information in PJ's hands will be available, won't it?
I'm sure those with the money and their eye to the main chance are envisaging a blockbuster movie. All the ingredients are there - the death of a child, Government involvement, corruption and a cover up involving threat and menace. I can't recall the name of the American film about a missing child; out of courtesy it wasn't aired here. I wonder how much money this lost the film makers ? They may consider a film of this sordid case to be a sure fire money maker.

It has the usual xenphobic comments plus descriptions such as "filthy clothes", "unshaven" etc. Strangely, creepy wasn't mentioned but the parish councellor said as much as he could to make the couple out to be "dodgy".
1) How did the couple manage to get the child through customs, if it WAS Maddie?
2)IF she was abducted and IF she is still alive, to take her out in public, AND in the UK, would be a very stupid thing to do & I don't believe anyone is THAT stupid. (cruely is entirely different from stupidity)

morning dylan, this case has become a farce and someone needs to put a stop to it. If this is clarences latest offering it is desperate,we know that he or comeone in team mc cann has exerted pressure on the DE and if this story has been allowed to run with their say so it is sad. MOreover i have always wondered why there are no pics of the mc canns in any papers,if this were an ordinary couple every paparazzo in the known world would be trying to photograph them ans imagine the price a paper would pay for those pics,so where are they ,why the high level of protection. As for the latest alleged sighting, this child is the most known face in the world so who in their right mind would papade her openly.

First time posting on your site. I was posting on Alsabella's but for some reason I cannot access it anymore. Maybe someone can advise why. When I try to post the box that gives you letters to copy just has a x in it and the letters will not come up. So can you please tell Alsabella I have not abandoned them all, just can't get on to site.
I saw on her site some arse copied and sent her letter to Mrs Healy. I would have had some respect if at least they had had the guts to put their name on the posting, but no chance, they posted as anonymous.

Yes, a farce it is.
It is all yet another attempt to bring discredit to the case and shameful in the way that anyone with a child who looks nothing like the parents, if they are slightly grubby and foreign, they must have stolen the child. All very disgusting.
Who will they pick on next I wonder? My youngest daughter has olive skin. (I don't & neither does her father). She also speaks fluent French and I do not but I know she's mine as I gave birth to her! I must make a mental note never to go out in "grubby" clothes. Maybe I should wear my Sunday best to do the gardening from now on!

dyl, i fear that its coming to the stage where all children bearing more than a passing resemblence to madeleine will be wearing a t shirt saying "i am not madeleine". My eldest son who is 13 des noy look irish , then again most of my mothers people are from the west coast of ireland where it is said the spanish armada ran aground!! I did hear somewhere that there are many Irish whos origin is Iberian. From my two forays into deep Southern Ireland, there are lots of local folk with dark hair. Also, I think that there are links between Gaelic (can't remember the proper name - is it Erse?) Welsh and Cornish bear similarities to Breton French. For example, "Pont" in Cornish, meaning bridge, is "Bont" in Welsh and "Ponte" in French. I find the movements of Europeans in terms of language fascinating. Also, I am told I come from "gypsy" stock and that the origins of the original gypsies was Egyptian and not Romanian as some say. I wish I had more time to study this and in another life, i would have loved to study anthropology. I'm rubbish at languages but like to see where the similarities are and all in favour of preserving old languages such as Cornish.
2345 - alas I sadly think too that a real sighting of Maddie is not possible. The PJ gave up ages ago searching for her. There is too much riding on this case and international realtions to give up the search for her alive if they were not absolutely certain that she is no longer with us.

Hi Dylan, you asked what I thought of the latest sighting, well sighted by another brain dead person it seems apparently had the child in his house but not the brain power to check it out properly and do something about it. Bet he didn't even take the reg No of the car. Cornish is a celtic language called Brythonic and has roots related to Breton, Irish and Manx (Isle of Mann).
It dates back to 2000BC. According to my family tree, I have Manx, Scottish, Egyptian, Irish and Saxon roots. No wonder I am confused about my identity!
It's amazing to think that these languages crossed such a large area, all this without planes, trains and automobiles!
I'm also fascinated in accents and local dialect. Us Norfolk folk have a few "rumn's" ;)

Thanks so much, I'll get a copy. Dialects fascinate me. My cousin is married to a Norfolk guy - they pronounce vase - vaize, whereas we call it varze phonentically. My husband adores history and I think he said the true British are the Welsh. You have a wonderful mix of blood, the best of all worlds.

Just a quick look in. We are off to the swimming baths (not Calder Street). Manx is very like Scots Gaelic. I was taught at school that when the Romans arrived, they colonised the middle of the country (Midlands, Yorkshire etc) and all the native people fled to the "corners" - Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Mann, and some to Breton. That's why the languages are all similar. I don't know if this is really true but it might be. (Just to disprove it, the Scots Gaelic for a bridge is drochaid, almost the same as Irish droichead).
Must remember not to put "grubby" clothes on before going to the swimming pool with my children, neither of which look anything like me....
The scarey thing here is that people have actually elected this Clown Councillor.....he doesn't live in Brighton and Hove, by any chance?

2345,if you want dialets come to ireland !! nwe have irish or "gaeilge" as we call it ,in irelamd there are 4 provinces: connacht,ulster leinster and munster(best rugby played here) and each of these provinces has its own dialect. Its quite confusing when you have a teacher teaching you irish when shes from connacht and your from munster because they are so different.As for the ancient egyptians , dont get me started,i love all things egyptian hence my name. I have been there twice,pre 9/11 and it is just magical.

The Councillor maybe had a team meeting first at his home for the Pro McSpinners and had to do a major clean up before allowing the forensics team in as I believe the team all suffer from terrible diarrohea, must be due the bad diet they have.

Anon, nobody here pours scorn on parents who have lost a child. I feel very, very sorry for Kate, whatever happened. & yes, I am silly, much of the time but my heart is in the right place and I stand up for what I believe in, in as much as parents shouldn't leave their children. If that earns me the nastiness that has been spewed at me this evening, then I can only say that my poor, misguided, silly self, is indeed delusional to believe that there is any human decency left in this broken world of ours.
We stand on the backs of those that make decisions for us all of the time. Sometimes these decisions do wrong by the world. Sometimes they do good. In the free world, all we have is our little voices, and our parents' parents have fought and died for that. We are lucky that they did and should remember that this is why we have a democracy.
I would not like to live in an Orwellian state where thought and speech is a crime. If we did, who knows which of us would be put to death for "thinking" things. Can you imagine that?
