As you can understand, I can't do any comment about the investigation on the "McCann Case"... (I have omitted the next part, in the interests of privacy but this did not in any way compromise the judicial secrecy laws)Looking towards my freedom of speech, I asked for my retirement last month.
All the insults, false accusations and lie's from the past year are now being brought to court from my lawyers (the very last one is from Daily Mail, yesterday).
I would like to say thank you to the thousands of persons that every day, for the last year, are supporting me all over the world. I would like to answer all the phone calls, emails and letters, but is not possible...there are so many!
As you can imagine, most of the days are not that easy, and these messages have been a great support not only for me, but also for my family. Once again, thank you all!
You're allowed do display this message on you site, and I thank you for that.

I fear you are right,she is probably dead. I have tried to be pragmatic when posting and not to get annoyed if I can as some of the behaviour and what is printed as fact puts ones BP up. I can only conclude as many have, that it is political help that has destroyed this case and why the Tapas are always so confident. What is one little girl in the mix in comparison to all these people involved with the case. Nothing it looks like.

Mark Warner: The little revenge on McCann
The reference to Mark Warner in the new ITV documentary created by the machine communication surrounding Kate and Gerry McCann to report the first anniversary of the disappearance of Madeleine is seen by several employees and officials of the Ocean Club as a small revenge torque to those within the unity of Praia da Luz, were able to cooperate with the Portuguese police.
Contacted in Praia da Luz and the United Kingdom, several employees who côtoyée the couple during their stay in the tourist complex, did not appreciate the alleged statements by the mother of Madeleine during the documentary, revealed today by a " information leak focused, "and responded accusing the couple to know, even before their arrival at the Ocean Club, services available for children.
"Les McCann and their group knew that there was no service listening to children. Even if this service was available, it can never replace the presence and adult supervision," concluded one official.
"They had already séjournée in another complex of Mark Warner and knew very well what is available to them, there always a daycare evening and baby-sitters," said the same official stressed that " the McCann have always refused these services

The whinging of Kate about the lack of a baby listening service also highlights the libel committed by the McCann Machine of media manipulators as in when The Pink One, Clarence Mitchell, their spokesman, was quoted in the Daily Wail (and I mean Wail not Mail!) last week that the Tapas checks were better than 'the baby listening service'.
Err. Wot? Will these arrogants fools never learn? They persist with libel.
Mark Warner and its staff are witnesses under Portuguese law, and comply with secrecy, mostly (some silly staff were bought out of that by guess who?). However, the time will come when the libel committed against Mark Warner and its staff will be addressed.

On the Daily Express forum, McCann supporters were told that there was no 'baby listening service' at PDL, yet they persisted in stating that the McCanns did no wrong because Mark Warner had a 'baby listening service' which was less safe than the Tapas9 'checks'.
In the Daily Mail, Clarence Mitchell said the same thing about a week ago.
All of that is libel because it suggests that Mark Warner child care arrangements are deficient. Wrong. All wrong. Libellous.
Vanity and bare faced lies will yet see liars in a court of libel, in my opinion, even if the irresponsible McCanns and their holiday friends escape criminal court...even if they appear in criminal court.
Libel law stands on its own, regardless of criminal proceedings.
There was no baby listening service at the Mark Warner resort in Portugal. The McCanns declined the baby sitter service, and the dinner time creche. Only one couple with them, the Paynes, had a baby listening device on May 3rd.
Also, there is no evidence of an abduction, except the unsubstantiated claims made by the McCanns, contradicted by physical evidence: no windows 'jemmied', as their relatives claimed.
Alex Woolfall, spokesman for Mark Warner Ltd, confirmed that Ocean Club has never prepared for this type of service and that this information is even "written in the brochures" promotion.
"What we offer is a service nursery opened in the evening where guests can leave their children and go out for dinner," confirmed Alex Woolfall.The British, who acts as spokesman for McCann, had been sent urgently to Praia da Luz to manage the disappearance of Madeleine.

The Inspector of the Criminal Police, Gonçalo Amaral, that co-ordinated the team who investigated Maddie's disappearance has already a title for a book about the case: "The true lie".
The CM discovered that the book is almost finished and contains explosive elements about the investigation concerning the disappearance of the British girl in Praia da Luz, Algarve, the 3rd of May last year.
Apart from important data about what happened in that night in the Ocean Club, the "several manoeuvres of counter information" around the big media case of the last years will be revealed.
"It won't be something speculative but factual, with reports of someone who lived the case one hundred per cent", referred to the CM Paulo Santo, the defence lawyer of the PJ's inspector who is in the process of retirement.
The lawyer of Gonçalo Amaral, hired to defend his image after the controversy regarding his removal from the co-ordination of Maddie's case, confirmed to the CM that there is already a publisher interested in the book.
"The fact that the retirement process is not yet fulfilled and the secrecy of justice that are in place at this moment stipulate the publishing of the book" said the lawyer of Gonçalo Amaral. The book will try to put an end to Maddie's case.

Good Morning all - Having heard Kate McCann say in her radio 4 interview that many parents had told her they also had done the same as her (left the kids) perhaps it is time to set up a Parent Alert system for those who seem not to be able to see or accept why children should not be left alone. Can they not see the many dangers. Just a few to make them stop and think, which they clearly did not.

2. Go outside through unlocked door

Judging by the way Kate spoke although she now regrets leaving the kids, I still do not think the penny has yet dropped why people got so critical on this issue. Many people have defended the McCanns actions, but I think that is only because they will have nothing bad said against them. However I hope if they are honest with themselves they know that what they did was unforgiveable because they put their own desires before the safety of their children.
The PJ are taking a lot of criticism for not finding Madeleine, but let us not forget that it is not the PJ's fault she is gone is it.

I have enormous sympathy for them losing a child but I am getting fed up of them blaming everyone else for their misfortune.

Well done Jon Gaunt - the tapas 9 need to put up or shut up, and the PJ's who I am 100% behind, must get something positive into the open soon otherwise it will look like they are prevaricating on the arguidos issue. Having said that, it's not just the PJ's who have to make a move, but the authorities in the UK who have still not sent them all the outstanding data they are waiting for! What with questions not being answered and the UK taking their time in supplying what the PJ's require, it seems a bit like stalemate, and we want checkmate!!

Instinct takes over most of the time and im sure that the mc canns have asked themselves several times privately .. why in the name of God did we think it was ok to do what we did? I know we can all make mistakes and probably have, and some people have more common sense than others, but I still find it very strange that the McCanns who should have a high level of intelligence appear to lack it when it comes to basic things. Even now although they have all these regrets I still feel they haven't quite grasped what we have been saying. Maybe that is why many of us were critical of them having anything to do with amber alerts etc. also. The amber alert is only of some value if the police are informed quickly and they didn't even do that.

One of the Tapas Seven has broken her silence to tell of Kate and Gerry McCann's torment when their daughter Madeleine vanished.
Rachael Oldfield, a 36-year-old recruitment consultant, said: "I was there on the night. I spent time with Gerry and Kate during the week before May 3 and after.

"Their emotions and their reactions were just agonising. There's just no way they were involved in anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance.
"If you take the common sense approach and look at timings and the fact they are medics and there are four other medics in the group, they would know what to do to resuscitate a child.
This doesn’t match the abduction theory they all believe in. She is talking about resuscitating a child/Madeleine after an accident? It’s like JT’s statement: “I was carrying….” Was Rachel thinking about what really happened that night?.
"Anyone with an ounce of common sense would be able to see they couldn't have done it. And I was there and I know they didn't do it."
They didn’t do what? Abduct Madeleine?. She uses the word “it”. To me it refers to something else than abduction.
Her comments were broadcast last night on BBC Radio 4 programme Searching for Madeleine, who vanished from the family's holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3 last year.
Rachael, one of the group of friends who dined with Kate and Gerry, in a nearby tapas bar, also blasted the Policia Judiciaria - Portugal's CID - for "outrageous" leaking of details to the press.
She said: "We were made to understand we could face two years prison for speaking out. There have been these rumours and leaks from sources close to the PJ which we haven't been able to refute.
"We'd have loved to have spoken out and just put the record straight." Rachael also said it was "astounding" Kate and Gerry, who remain formal suspects, had heard so little from the Portuguese police that they could not be sure officers were still hunting for four-year-old Madeleine.
What have Gerry, Kate and the rest of the Tapas done to find Madeleine? Blaming others doesn’t bring Madeleine back.
Speaking on the same show, Gerry, 39, said: "We'd like to know what leads are still being followed."
Gerry buy a ticket to Portugal. You can use the fund money. And start searching for your daughter.
Searching for Madeleine is repeated on BBC Radio 4 at 1.30pm on Sunday 27 April.

Mr.Amaral too , as his book is almost completed it looks like. So the postscript to his supposed email is really an advert for his book thus the truth of the lie that he alludes to will be subjective in reality and spin IMO.

it's a true pity that Madeleine has become some kind of backstage figure in all this. As you say, almost all involved in this case seem to be cashing in (and lots of it too).

Gerry McCann says he has so little contact with Portuguese detectives he cannot be sure if they are still looking for his daughter.
Gerry and Kate McCannHe said he and his wife Kate have not been receiving any information on the progress of the Madeleine investigation and have been given no explanation as to why police files are still being kept secret.
Rachael Oldfield, one of the couple's close friends and a key witness in the case, described the situation as "astounding".
Interviewed for a documentary, Mrs Oldfield said the couple have had no direct contact with Portuguese detective Paulo Rebelo, the man heading the inquiry.
And she accused the Policia Judiciaria (PJ) of "outrageous" leaking and "double standards" over Portugal's strict secrecy laws.
Kate and Gerry McCann were declared "arguidos" - formal suspects - in the case in September although they deny any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.

Their status makes any contact with the police far less likely but they have received no information on whether it is to be lifted.
"I think it's safe to say we're getting very little information," Mr McCann told the programme.
"We haven't had any communication in terms of what's been done in the investigation."
"We would like to know what is being done to find Madeleine.
"We'd like know who has been eliminated from the inquiry and on what grounds and what leads are still being followed.
"We've always said we want to leave no stone unturned and to do that we need to know which stones have already been overturned."
Mr McCann said he believed his daughter was still "probably alive" and he had seen "absolutely zero" evidence to suggest otherwise.
Madeleine vanished in May last yearHe said hindsight showed he and his wife "made a mistake" in leaving the children alone, but he dismissed suggestions the couple could face charges of child negligence.
On the same programme, Mrs Oldfield made a staunch defence of the couple against any suggestion they might have been involved in their daughter's disappearance.
She said: "I was there on the night - it was agonising. There was just no way that they were involved in anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance.
"Anyone with an ounce of common sense really would be able to see that they couldn't have done it."
British expat Robert Murat was the first official arguido in the case.
His sister, Samantha, told the programme it was time he was officially cleared of involvement.
She said: "No matter what he does in his life now everyone is going to associate him as the suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.
"It's been a year now and our family have gone through hell, not to mention what Robert's had to go through on his own."

Since I'm not British I know nothing about libel laws in UK. Therefore I wonder, if the MCCanns were to sue anyone for something they've written or said would the potential truth in what's been said matter for the outcome for such a case?

They had expected the PJ to keep them informed and they suspects. These same people have refused by all accounts to be interviewed. Are they stupid or what? They cannot have it both ways and the PJ I am sure are not in a habit of taking suspects into their confidence.

No I do not think it would matter,as any book or article by an author would be seen as subjective. It would take a court of law to establish the truth if possible and then and only then would the facts be objective. This IMO is not going to happen and the McCanns and Tapas 7 will possibly have to live with suspicion for the rest of their lives.

which is extremely sad if they are innocent. But I still think they could all have been more forthcoming (if we are to believe what we've read about this case so far) and done everything possible to help the police - no matter if there were a risk of neglect charges. We're talking about a child's life, for God's sake, and if it was my child I wouldn't have hesitated a second.
In spite of all the news on the case and of seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel, I can't help feeling really sad and sorry for all the people involved and deeply affected in this tragic case of an innocent girl that left this world in my country.
If it is true that she died and the parents were somehow involved, the right thing to do would have been to assume what happened and that way their guilt wouldn't be that one they must be feeling by now.They would have spared us all this circus that is getting on everyone's nerves , especially those that are aware of the all press hogwash throughout the last 12 months almost on a daily basis.
I feel sorry for their family members especially those who were also led to believe in the abduction. If this case goes to court and it will be proved everything was a LIE, than it will hurt everyone that have been giving them any kind of support. The twins, too in the future will for sure want to know their life story and will discover all this mess.
I also feel sorry for the people involved in the investigation of thie case that had to say NO to political interference and kept doing their job the best way they could. GA was presented by the Br press in such a form that every decent person could see through the disgusting pieces of journalism written to serve a certain purpose.
The Portuguese are not blind and have known how to deal with all the tricks and press of a country worldwide famous for it and after so much time and efforts it seems to me we have arrived a crucial time when the press is now having a U-turn. That's the risk people take when they enter a game like that. The monster can devour its creator.
Personally, I think GA took the right decision regarding his retirement. He is a man of great intelligence and feelings and this way he can live a different life and do things he has never done due to his committment to the PJ. I can imagine a life of a policeman isn't easy and many of what they face in their job is taken home with them and everyone knows how it is difficult to forget the things and problems we are having at the workplace.
About the book, I have my personal opinion and think he should wait.

You are absolutely right. Whatever else transpires with this case, the McCanns not fully and unconditionally co-operating with the PJ will forever be a blot on their presumption of innocence, it is clearly a calculated ploy that they are prepared to live with.

"Anyone with an ounce of common sense really would be able to see that they couldn't have done it."
You may remember Diane Webster’s reason for not for the leaving the table on the night of 3rd May was she thought Gerry and Kate were joking as Gerry had been playing jokes all through the holiday and she believed he was up to his usual tricks.
Well as usual in this case there are many options as to the truth of the above statement. Eg.
a) Rachel Oldfield is telling the truth and Diane Webster is lying.
b) Rachel Oldfield is telling her version of the truth because she is easily deceived.
c) Diane Webster is more astute and believed the McCanns to have been acting.
d) Diane Webster is stupid and totally misjudged the situation.
e) Diane Webster is lying about the reason she remained at the table.
I suspect the likely answer to this is (c) but who knows.

At this stage no one believes in the abduction.So, silence is golden.

What else could she have mean't and was it a slip of the tongue like the way Jane Tanner said tht 'I carried the child like this'? A very strange thing to say in the circumstances wouldn't you say?

I don't know why the interviewer didn't pick her up on some of these very salient points, but they preferred to leave it as if the McCanns were the victims here and not Madeleine!

I agree with you to a certain extent about GA's book being published a bit too soon, but on the other hand it is now when everything is at it's peak so to speak, that he will obviously be able to sell more books, and to be realistic he will need the money for his family because he is retiring at a very early age - I wish him good luck with it whenever he decides to go to press!

Isis/Atardi – I do believe the McCannfiles have edited their original information in line with CM’s statement. This actually makes sense as I have wondered why Kate didn’t call out to her friend Jane Tanner (originally thought to be in the next apartment) when she said she found M missing and why Tanner says Rachel Oldfield told her M was missing she did not know before.
I wonder where Tanner and O’Briens apartment was.

You're never going to persuade ANY Pro-McCann sites/posters to embrace rational thinking or your right to freedom of expression, so don't feel bad. They may make it look like it's personally against you in an effort to get you to stop posting anywhere, but they have jobs to do.
The site you've just been on is largely populated by members of the McCann family, so for obvious reasons (well, to them), they are never going to entertain even questions about their own.
The other sites are set up and controlled by professional manipulators. They have no interest in doing anything other than operating according to their brief, which is to defend the McCanns and (laughable though it is) change the deeply negative public opinion about them.
This obviously involves getting people who aren't pro-McCann to either stop being anti-McCann, or to stop posting.
Some of these Pros aren't very bright (I'm being polite here when I say 'some'), and think insulting people will be enough. Others try personal abuse, or threatening legal action or even worse.
These people are largely desperate; either to do their jobs effectively, and thus continue to get paid, or, for personal reasons, get the McCanns off the hook whatever it takes.
Don't let it upset you, Gina. You just happen not to be on their side.

LGC I am fair from upset my friend I just hate the way they manipulate things to suit themselves when they cannot answer something sensibly and fairly. They accuse me of talking about them on here (yes I am doing that now I agree) but after I saw a post on there about Swedish and me I went on there to respond, not on here as it was nothing to do with here. That led to one thing and another the bottom line of which they have deleted all my responses which were reasonable and just left their own posts and said I was sent there to distrupt and a load of other old tosh.

I had to go back to the Dentist today as I have an infection and it bloody hurts (last time I go for a check up)anyway while I was waiting I was reading First Magazine that was lying around. It was dated May/June 2007 and it had an article about the McCanns and how they left her in a Locked Room even that small piece of information has changed now to an unlocked room so from nearly day one we have been fed a pack of lies no wonder people dont belive them there was no need to lie about it if they have done no wrong....

Hi nancy as you may recall I posted on here yesterday that I have given up on there making comments about the case because they thrown their toys out of the pram if you say one word they do not like, whilst on here I can disagree without that happening. Today I just happened to look and saw something about me which I wanted to respond to, nothing more but a complete bloody waste of time, apparently we cannot say one word against the McCanns even if we have seen with our own eyes something they have said or done, but they can slag off any poster they like (even if they have taken the words out of context) and that person is not allowed to defend themselves. Apparently, they cannot defend themselves on here so that makes it fair in their opinion. However they say they would not post on here anyway so work that one out, I can't.

Interesting thing. On the House of Filth they are disccusing the fact that the Mccanns are different on and off camera. I just find it weird that they didn't act that way when they were told not to publicly reaveal Madeleine's eye detail because that would determine her death. Had she been taken by the fantom abductor (for paedophilia or for child trafficking) and that would be her death sentence as she would become a liability as the most wanted child in the world ever. Coincidencies, of course.

Gina, I can't obviously answer your question because I don't know how they know. However, there are many people (who stated it on TV) who saw them behaving differently on and off camera. When there was a camera around they were always holding hands but when the cameras were off their urge to express love decreased a bit, so to speak.
Stella, we've been waiting for this weather until now. I think we won't be finished with it soon! :-)

Gina, I know what you mean. But recently I have been able to understand that at least some of them are not family members as some of us thought they were. I can't explain it further, but close people (close family and friends) would know things they obviously don't know (from the content of some comments).

The Anglican Priest Father Hubbard and his wife Susan, helped the McCanns in Portugal and Susan looked after the twins.
They became very good friends and have visited them a couple of times since they came home.
The other priest did not slate the McCanns for not returning the keys to the church as we were told on the DE.
I think he needs to answer some questions, I would like to know why he is so scared of the PJ, or is he ?
It seems an awful lot of people are scared of the PJ doesn't it?
