HOLLAND-AIDS SAUCE

Cheers for a great thread LGC, these are just a few pics Luke and I took today on a rainy day and when it was pitch black tonight which I thought turned out rather arty Viv x

Viv has asked me (LGC) to start a new thread about a cheeky Dutch connection...

...many people who have espied Madeleine on her travels all over Europe and North Africa have turned out to be from Holland. Are the Dutch particularly well-travelled? Haven't they got homes to go to? Or could there perhaps be the teensiest link with the McCanns who used to live there and who (presumably) made many Dutch friends?

I posted extracts from this the other day. It's from the 3As, written by PolandGuy. It's longish, but worth following through to the end.

http://the3arguidos.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10497&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=dutch+connection

Poland Guy writes:-

I always find it useful to take a peek at the “Properties” of Word or other documents. It never ceases to amaze me how careless some people are. In the new HTFM website, http://helpingtofindmadeleine.org you will find downloadable Word documents in the news section.

The document “Statement Morocco” reveals its properties to be that of:

Author: Isabelle, Company: St Johns Chambers. A quick google search reveals St Johns Chambers to be a Bristol-based legal company, http://www.stjohnschambers.co.uk/:

Welcome to St John's Chambers. From Commercial & Chancery to Family, and from Public & Administrative Law to Personal Injury, St John’s Chambers provides one of the most comprehensive sources of legal expertise and advice in the South West. We have over 60 respected Barristers, with six Silks, including many nationally renowned specialists, often working on high profile cases that are of national importance.

Our client base includes many major regional and national law firms, representing prominent businesses and private individuals requiring representation and advice. In all cases we seek to make our services accessible, flexible and focused on the people that matter most – our clients.

And a key employee is indeed Isabelle Mills, http://www.stjohnschambers.co.uk/client_service/

Isabelle MillsIsabelle Mills, Office Manager is responsible for the Administration of Chambers as well as providing assistance to Mr. Richard Stead, Head of Chambers and Mr. Vincent Denham, Chief Executive. In addition, Isabelle is also currently responsible for chambers marketing activities, public relations, co-ordinating the website, seminars and roadshows for our practice groups. Isabelle also manages our client satisfaction feedback programme.

It is possible that Isabelle Mills is a lone loony, using her office computer to generate material for the HTFM website. However, the fact that St Johns Chambers specialize in the areas of:

Child Abduction http://www.stjohnschambers.co.uk/child_care/

and Clinical Negligence http://www.stjohnschambers.co.uk/clinical_negligence/

and Holiday Litigation http://www.stjohnschambers.co.uk/holiday_litigation/

suggests the possibility of a broader commercial relationship between themselves and the Tapas group, or members thereof. If this were true, then Mills' role may be to generate public support for the McCanns via her HTFM activities, thereby making possible litigation against the PJ and/or Mark Warner more likely to succeed and/or successful prosecution by the PJ more difficult. It would certainly fit in with her role in the company of being "responsible for chambers marketing activities, public relations, co-ordinating the website...

"It is also worth noting that one of Isabelle Mills' functions is "providing assistance to Mr. Richard Stead, Head of Chambers". The website informs us as follows:

New Head of Chambers at St Johns. We are delighted to announce that Richard Stead is the new Head of Chambers with Susan Jacklin QC and Leslie Blohm QC as his Deputy Heads.

It is a remarkable coincidence that there is also a Richard Stead who owns a villa in Praia da Luz:http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/portugal/P4567.htm (see bottom of page)http://www.villa-praia-luz.com/ Richard Stead of St John's Chambers has since contacted the3arguidos.net, denying that he is the owner of the Algarve villa.

Finally, the other Word document on the HTFM site, on "Spain, Ceuta, Melilla Islands", is by "Godelieve”, but no company is given. However, a quick glance at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/prot ... tures.html, which is an online petition signed by Isabelle Mills, suggests that “Godelieve” is surely Godelieve Koelma. Godelieve Koelma seems to be a web designer and all-round funky person, as her website http://www.lieveke.com/Default.htm reveals.

She also has a myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/lieveke_dot_com

A Dutch connection!

Note: during the course of the afternoon of April 24th, after this thread had been running for several hours, the Word documents at the original addresses above were pulled from the HTFM site, and replaced by identical .pdf documents, with the properties listed above removed. However, the original Word documents with their original properties were saved, and can be viewed here together with their .pdf equivalents:1. Dolores posted this on another thread:-

Truth and Lies April 29, 2008

The police denied the information published by Sky News. The PJ said to be unaware of an attempted abduction of a minor Dutch in the Algarve as publishes Sky News. The case involve a suspect whose description is similar to that given in the disappearance of Madeleine. An official of the Judicial Department of Portimao reported to the Portuguese press that the PJ was unaware of any situation of this kind and there was no ongoing investigation on this matter.

According to Sky News, the young Dutch 15 years returned home, to 18.00 on 11 March, after going into a supermarket nearby. It was followed by a man in black jeep, tinted windows that would open the door of his car to prevent the teenager to continue his path. It would have then tried to force the girl to climb on board. The Dutch will be discussed and reportedly managed to escape the clutches of her attacker. The young man described about 40 years, long hair, gold ring fingers.

According to Sky News, the description coincides with that of the man that Kate and Gerry McCann believe they have abducted their daughter. For the record, the man was wearing robot prepared in case McCann was identified in his time and absolved of all suspicion in this case. The father of the young Dutch wished to remain anonymous. Elements disturbing.

It is noteworthy that the Netherlands are frequently since the beginning of the disappearance of Madeleine. In fact, Gerry has worked in the Netherlands and many relations. The woman who saw Madeleine in a gas station in Morocco lives or has lived in the....The woman who claims to have seen Madeleine in Belgium is ...Dutch. The girl who reported seeing Madeleine dancing in a restaurant in France is ...Dutch. The girl's article Sky News is ... Dutch.

Simple coïncidence? In all cases, these elements are disturbing. Some people, convinced of the first hour, "against winds and tides" of the innocence of parents have come to wonder: "If the parents are innocent, why the machine communications Clarence Mitchell seeks, sometimes quite awkward , To doubt the public? "

And, as Dolores points out, weren't the twins born in Holland? (Do they have many Dutch Uncles??)

Is there a Dutch connection connection?

Hello Nancy,

That's perfectly OK - Rat and I are both Jewish, so I can see how we could be confused! :))

There are so many coincidences in this case, it must be a coincidence of coincidences by now...

:)

Excellent, I cannot wait. Could we use the material for a comedy sketch?

Stella said...

Dolores, exactly, I would think this was there usual time for bed?

The McCann's have just made the first slot on the ITV lunchtime news, amazing. Gerry looks like he is now using hair dye !!!

LittleGreyCell said...

Gina,

My point in my earlier post this morning is that perhaps media interest - and primetime scheduling - is to do with Docmac's quotation of "never interrupting anyone who is making a mistake"...

...I'm not sure how many edgy, hard-bitten news/media people would be hanging on the McCanns' every word.

I rather think that tonight's programme is being given airspace for potentially self-incriminating purposes; the couple are still arguidos, remember, and there's a strong possibility that as such, they could yet be charged with an array of offences.

If they are ever found to be culpable for Madeleine's disappearance, material like this documentary will be legendary in the sensational story of their guilt towards a variety of crimes.

LittleGreyCell said...

Dolores,

The comment from Gerry about the twins being in bed so early obviously belies how easily they settled down on holiday.

And he thinks he's intelligent enough to convince us he's a responsible parent???

Gina said...

Stella, seriously thinking of writing a comedy sketch myself called "silly bloggers" but I cannot start it till this case in finished because I don't yet know which side is the right and which is wrong. However their are some colourful characters (no names) and some classic quotes that have been made in all seriousness that made me ROTFL. There are so many motives for posting (apparently) some on a mission to save the insane, others to make the unsane insane and then ofcourse there are the genuinely concerned ones that just want justice for Madeleine. Unfortunately they will be left out of the sketch because they are not silly bloggers and have their hearts in the right place even if the may have not got it quite right

Off now, got to go to work again and show another house to a Dutch couple this time. I'll ask them if they are involved in the dutch connection:-)

LittleGreyCell said...

Gina,

Here's a plot line you can have for one of your episodes...it concerns a firm of private detectives tracing a paedophile through his tax returns.

A laugh an hour!

Gina said...

LGC yes I take your point re tonights programme. It will be interesting if the makers give a summary at the end of it trying to steer viewers one way or another

LittleGreyCell said...

Gina,

The angle might just be to let them dig their own graves, watching quietly from the sidelines...

Coincidence? I see this aftrenoon's movie is
'The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case'

Gina said...

LCG - I once wrote a comedy book and the publishers said it was great but too short and I should pad it out a bit. Not my style so didn't bother, but believe me I have so many things re what has been done and said about this case that I would have to cut it down.

You are right about Metodo, hire a company that specialises in fraud to find your child and when they do not succeed and their contract runs out, hire them again!!

JJ,

How odd! It doesn't mind me reading it!

The article is entitled The Find Madeleine McCann Campaign Must NOT Go ON For Ever

They didn't find Maddie yet, did they, Mummy? My eight-year-old son doesn't usually listen to the news.

But, over this past 12 months, the name of Madeleine McCann has become almost as familiar to him as his best friend's.

If we hear "Maddie" mentioned on the radio, I tense slightly, wait for the inevitable questions. And then come my inadequate answers.

"No, they didn't find her yet, sweetheart. Yes, it's very sad. No, a bad man will not take you. Because Mummy and Daddy will keep you safe, that's why."

Since May 3 last year, how many parents have mentally run the "Maddie safety test|" before daring to turn away from their children even for a moment? That may be her lasting legacy and our greatest burden.

Still, my small boy is not satisfied. "Maddie" is the big story of his childhood, bigger even than Harry Potter and infinitely more disturbing.

Like millions of others, he wants to find out how it ends.

No one wants to know that more than Kate and Gerry McCann. A year after Madeleine's disappearance, they have launched a "media offensive", including a two-hour ITV interview this evening and a year-long deal with Hello! magazine

Without doubt, this Saturday will be unbearable for them.

Milestones in a child's life are there to be celebrated. But what do you do with a milestone in a child's absence?

Relatives and friends will be returning to pray in the church in Praia da Luz, but not the McCanns, who, quite disgracefully, are still official suspects in Portugal.

And it will be especially hard, on this first anniversary, to avoid the haunting "what ifs?" What if they had walked to the restaurant as a family? What if they had heeded Madeleine's protests that she had been crying the previous night?

Even Kate's mother, Susan Healy, now admits she is astonished that the so-called Tapas Seven believed it was OK to go out for dinner without their children. "I could shake all of them," she says.

Susan accepts that her daughter believed the resort was perfectly safe. But the brutal, unyielding fact, the one Kate and Gerry must smash their heads against, is that if it had been perfectly safe then Maddie would be here now.

Kate feels she has let Madeleine down, says her mum. "The only way she can cope is by trying to get her back. She can't possibly give up."

Perhaps that is why the case has continued to exert such a remarkable hold over us. We can't give up either.

There is a fascination in a momentary mistake that can never be undone, no matter how much a mother persecutes herself.

In Greek tragedy, Antigone, the daughter of King Oedipus, cannot rest until she has recovered the body of her brother after his death in battle and given it a proper burial.

One suffering leads to another. And there is some of that obsession, and that remorselessness, in the case of the McCanns.

Could this explain the visceral hatred that has been directed at Kate in particular? What kind of person sent them the Christmas card saying: 'Your brat is dead because of your drunken arrogance'? Not much better than the one who snatched Maddie. Do we think we protect ourselves from cruel acts of Fate if we finish off those it has struck down?

Of course, the McCanns have unwittingly conspired in this circus of torment.

The publicity juggernaut that was launched with the best of intentions has taken on a momentum of its own.

But this week's 'media offensive' will strike many as, well, offensive.

Do the two doctors really deserve two whole hours of prime-time when so many other people's kids are lost and thousands are dying in Zimbabwe? Even those, like me, who have never doubted Gerry and Kate's innocence must feel a flinch of unease.

There comes a point when we have to ask whether any of this is going to help bring Madeleine back. And if not, what purpose does it serve?

I suppose the truth is that it keeps Maddie alive in the world, and thus helps her parents to assuage their terrible guilt.

Their campaign to improve safety for all children across Europe is commendable, but it is also a displacement activity. Postponing that dreadful moment when the search must be called off.

Kate says: "We're never going to get to a day when you think: 'OK, we've tried everything now. We're exhausted and we need to start living."

But they will. And they must. For their own sakes and for Sean and Amelie, who can't grow up with parents forever chasing a child they know they should never have lost.

Twelve months on, like my little boy, we still want the Maddie story to have an ending. I wish with all my heart that it could end happily. But end it must.

Sorry if this has been posted not had time to read back. Sorry but I am PMSL Mac Spin of the past year,

'We prayed all night then went to look for Madeleine' Timesonline

Jenny Booth
April 30, 2008

Kate and Gerry McCann tell today how they prayed through the dark, cold night that Madeleine went missing before going out on a desperate dawn search through the deserted streets of Praia da Luz.

In a documentary to be screened tonight on ITV1, Mrs McCann describes the moment of sheer panic when she first realised that their elder daughter was not in her bed at their rented holiday apartment in the Portuguese seaside resort.

"I rushed round the apartment, really quickly, just opened up cupboards and things and then just went flying out down to the tapas restaurant, shouting someone’s taken Madeleine," remembers Mrs McCann.

"And that’s when the nightmare started.

"I just remember saying: ’Not Madeleine, not Madeleine, not Madeleine’ and I can just remember saying that over and over and over again.

"Gerry was the same... I’m not used to seeing Gerry obviously that upset."

Mr McCann interjects: "I think fear is probably the right word, fear for your daughter, fear for yourself, fear for your family, fear for everything and that horrible kind of adrenalin - fight, flight."

On the reaction of their doctor friends, he says: "Some things kicked in and there was a lot of activity within the group quickly ... I don’t know if it’s (being) used to dealing with very stressful situations at work or otherwise."

The prospect of Madeleine being spirited away to North Africa - a recurring theme in the year-long search - was raised almost immediately that night, they say.

Mrs McCann explains: "I can remember our friends shouting 'We need to close the borders' and they were shouting 'Morocco, Algiers'.

"I can remember all this going on - and roadblocks, 'we need roadblocks'."

Mr McCann says he insisted his wife stay at the apartment in hope that Madeleine would be found.

"I was mainly in the bedroom and I was just praying actually," she recalls. "I was just ringing people and getting everyone to pray, and just felt so helpless."

But as the night wore on there was a dawning realisation that their daughter was gone.

"It was absolute devastation and total, just total emotion really," Mr McCann says.

One of Mrs McCann's most vivid memories is her concern that Madeleine would be cold.

"I knew what pyjamas she had on and I just thought she’s going to be freezing," she says.

"And it was just dark ... every minute seemed like an hour and obviously we were up all night and just waited for that first bit of light about six o’clock."

Then they went out searching together at dawn. "It was just deserted and we were just searching, through the undergrowth, through bushes," his wife recounts.

All the while they muttered prayers in their heads. "We were saying over and over again 'just let her be found, let her be found'," Mr McCann recalls.

They spent much of that day with police giving statements.

Mrs McCann recounts: "Every minute, every hour is time without Madeleine and that Friday I was watching the clock in the police station so 'that’s so many hours', 'that’s so many hours' and then it’s 24 hours and you’re back to another dark cold night."

K went flying out down to the Tapas restaurant shouting someone's taken Madeleine.// So it did not cross her mind that M could have walked out. Thought K said in another article today the restaurant was too far to walk hence the kids not going as they had no buggy. She left the twins alone again when she thought M was taken!//

The prospect of Madeleine being spirited away to North Africa - a recurring theme in the year-long search - was raised almost immediately that night, they say.

Mrs McCann explains: "I can remember our friends shouting 'We need to close the borders' and they were shouting 'Morocco, Algiers'.
"I can remember all this going on - and roadblocks, 'we need roadblocks'." //Did they think that when M disappeared for what was it 30mins the day or days before. Why did it take 40 mins or more to contact the Police, a mile a minute with an abduction.//

"Every minute, every hour is time without Madeleine and that Friday I was watching the clock in the police station so 'that’s so many hours', 'that’s so many hours' and then it’s 24 hours and you’re back to another dark cold night."
//Take it she did not have a watch on.//

This gets more nauseating day by day. We are not all gullible and do not believe your story. I support the PJ in their search for the TRUTH.

LGC I think you are right about not interrupting someone when they are making a mistake. This spin and docu will be the same as the Brussels trip, IMHO.

Hi all

No buggy! Just how many more pathetic excuses are they going to come up with. We have seen no end of pictures where they seemed to manage to have a buggy AFTER Madeleine went missing. The more they say, the more it just looks to me like it was cold blooded and planned. They just have to many excuses IMO.Altogher just too convenient to say they lost the buggy. But that does not excuse anything at all does it? How about letting Madeleine walk and carrying the twins, then putting them in a high chair? Then going back to their apartment when their children were crabby and tired, just like normal parents do!

I just dont think I can stand to sit and watch their soap opera tonight. Why could ITV not do a genuine documentary about the dangers of child neglect? It is pure commercialism due the interest in this story which the McCanns just never will shut up about, that much is plain.

Kate stayed in the apartment on the night Madeleine went missing phoning and praying! Priceless!
I would have been searching high and low before I ever thought of sitting around - I just wouldn't be able to stay still for a minute!

I've seen the picture of Kate appearing to cry in the Mail! The same as she appeared to cry on that tv interview - she didn't fool me one bit and doesn't now! The McConns can fool some of the people some of the time, but they certainly can't fool the majority of the people any of the time! I think we could all write a book of their and their tapas friends inconcistencies!

Nancy,

I wholeheartedly agree with you - why would you not be pounding the streets searching and shouting for your missing child?

Especially when you knew they were a recurrent sleepwalker?

Some ideas:-

1. Because you knew exactly where she was?

2. Because you were in shock because of this?

3. Because you couldn't keep up the act in public?

4. Because you had taken a sedative?

I am sure you remember me posting about how I lost Nanday one night when he flew off my shoulder in the garden having seen the green hose pipe which he presumed was a snake. I did not wait until first light to go searching for him..but at 4 am I actually heard him and Luke and I went back out and got him as he hooted emergency sirens to us..we had to get the fire brigade to help. Amazing how some people are more concerned about their parrot than others are about their own little child. You can imagine what I would have been like had it been one of my kids!

Sit there praying ..very sinister

Hiya Di

I am very lucky in having the most fantastic posters on this blog, that so strongly looks at all the spin and the facts and searches for the truth. We will counter their sickening spin, and we will remain a strong voice for Justice for Maddie. We will stay right behind the police in Portugal and UK and know for a fact they are not "framing" the McCanns, they have better things to do!

nancy said...

Dolores -

I have often wondered if Madeleine's disappearance was planned, mainly because from the outset it seemed everything went into motion as if it had been strategically organised! If they had been the Royal family they could not have had more important people on their side. It was as if some media spin doctor had got everyone working overtime to get the McCanns worldwide scheme off the ground there and then. And it hasn't stopped; in fact it is spiralling into an even more fantastic scenario!

But then we have the forensic and cadaver dogs' evidence, so that really puts paid to a planned abduction and makes it more likely an accident.

It could have been as many think that Madeleine was overdosed,or she could have got up from bed, gone out to look for her parents and suffered a fatal fall.

Whatever the result of this year long debacle brings, and even if the McCanns are found guilty of neglect, they may get a short term of imprisonment, but when back in circulation would still be secure financially for life, so they are making hay while the sun shines I wouldn't mind betting!

Hi Viv -

Yes, it's a shame more parents aren't as caring for their kids as you are for Nandy - good name - !

When the children were small we used to have a parakeet brought all the way to the UK by my sister from North Africa - he travelled by boat, plane and train swearing all the way! They used to have servants who used to swear at poor little Winkie - which I named him because he always winked at everyone! He lived for years and yes, you do get close to your pets. I think all children should have a pet of some sort!!

Mind you, if you couldn't afford a buggy, I don't suppose you could affort a pet either!! Yes, I know that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but I'm slowly losing the nice side of my nature with these two!! I shall watch tonight, if only to back up what I already think of the cool McCanns!

I am quite confused as to why Kate & Gerry prayed all night then went out to look for Madeleine.

Was it not Kate's mother who stated they phoned and asked for the telephone number of the priest in Rothley on the night Madeleine vanished and she said, she was surprised as they had never been particularly religeous.

I am only here for a few seconds (been to dentist again tooth feeling better touch wood)...

I heard on our local radio staiton news today the guy who followed the McCanns for the Doc he said if you spent time with them you would realise they are "intresting People who were unlucky"...

I was expecting him to say they were devestated or very sad Intresting was not helpful to them at all.

As for the we nearly did not go out and we must accept it probebly would not have happend if we had been there (you think?) the Pro's trashed this theory on the DX saying she would have been taken anyway.

If they had come out with this last year I may have bought it a year to late Im afraid they have wasted money on a fraud investigation firm and spent money spinning discusting.

See you all later xxx

For what I could understand, they were not referring to the Tapas bar when they spoke about the buggy, they were referring to the Millennium restaurant which is near the church and as they hadn’t the buggy they thought in not going!
Imo, after that, if what, what they are saying is true, talked with their friends and decided to change their plans and dinner at the Tapas bar.
You can, all, read this Report: fom The Herald

“Speaking about May 3 in detail, Mr McCann said the couple and their seven friends considered going out to eat at the Millennium, another restaurant, rather than having tapas nearby and leaving their children sleeping.
"I think the worst thing is we kind of almost thought about not going and . . . did," he said.
Mrs McCann added: "In fact, we were all . . . going to go up to the Millennium again, that was with the kids, which is what we did the first night. It was just because the walk was so long and we didn't have a buggy and the kids were tired by that time."

I am out , for now, have a good debate all! :)

They never admit anything; they blame always someone or something for their “mistakes”, as they say!
My question is: if they thought that would be safe to left 3 kids by their one, alone in the apartment, how had they worried in doing the checks? After all they were safe no matter what! And in doing these checks are they indirectly admitting that something could happen? An accident for instance? If so, why doing this night after night after night?

I am really off now!

McCann want to ban "The truth lies" The announcement of the publication of the book "The truth lies", signed by the inspector of the Judicial Police (PJ) Gonçalo Amaral, former head of the investigation in the disappearance of Madeleine, worried Kate and Gerry McCann who asked their lawyers to prohibit any publication.

Regardless of the idiom of publication, the couple McCann, according to a close, is ready to initiate prosecution against the inspector if his book reveals some details of events surrounding the disappearance of Maddie.

In Portugal, the couple's lawyers have already addressed the question whether the inspector would have or not, the right to publish a book revealing details of an investigation he himself directed and which it must keep a certain reserve despite his announcement to leave the framework of the PJ.

Informal contacts were made with the National Directorate of the Judicial Police to find out the possible limitations that would have Gonçalo Amaral.

Gonçalo Amaral, coordinator of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Judicial Police (PJ) in Portimão at the time of the disappearance of Maddie, was responsible for investigations that led to that Kate and Gerry McCann are formed arguidos, suspects. Having simulated the abduction of their daughter and concealment of his body.

Ecarté the investigation in October 2007 by the National Director of the PJ, officially a consequence of an article in the Diario de Noticias, signed by José Manuel Oliveira, giving statements criticizing the work of the British police, the inspector Gonçalo Amaral continued to benefit from the unconditional trust of his colleagues but also the Civil Servants' Trade Union Association of Criminal Investigation (ASFIC).

The arrival of the inspector Paulo Rebelo led to a revision of the dossier but the line of investigation has never changed because all tracks and indices followed by Gonçalo Amaral maintained its value. After his departure from the Judicial Police, Gonçalo Amaral account initiate prosecution against several British media that a default to find a loophole in his career, had chosen to treat the inspector drunk, wholesale, and so on.

3 livres : Maddie, l’enquête et la machine McCann 3 books: Maddie, the investigation and machine McCann
If the book "The truth of lies" - even without publication date-determined does not agree personal Gonçalo Amaral about the disappearance of Madeleine, however, it allows readers to understand the work of the Portuguese police and British who led McCann to be formed as arguidos.

According to António Paulo Santos lawyer who represents the inspector, in "The truth lies", Gonçalo Amaral did not give his personal opinion about the disappearance of Madeleine.
"The book is the story of someone who lived in the investigation of the Interior, but also all the facts that surround it. It interprets the facts and evidence," said the lawyer, stressing that the subject book, scheduled in Portuguese and English, is not Maddie but rather the investigation into his disappearance.

In English, it is the turn of Kate and Gerry McCann to announce they are negotiating the publication of a book that tells their experience after the disappearance of their daughter. According to several sources, an advance of more than one million and two hundred thousand euros was proposed to the couple for their story.

According to their responsible communication, the book signed by the McCann tells their version of history. "L’unique livre officiel", souligne Clarence Mitchell. "The only official book," says Clarence Mitchell.

No date has yet been given for the release of the book, but according to estimates by experts from several publishing, it might become, the United Kingdom, a financial success without previous.
The machine McCann told a french

A third book, this time in french, will provide a different vision of the case McCann.
Cosigné by several journalists and edited from Belgium, the book tells how and why the media machine has been put in place even before the start of the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Scheduled for June, it demonstrates how British diplomacy to influence the conduct of investigations, including through the provision of McCann means of the state, but it also explains what was the role of each stakeholder.

Other confidential documents and transcripts of recordings of telephone calls will illustrate the story.

They are using the same strategy as the McCanns.

Dolores of the pink rose.

Tonight's ITV programme must rate as the longest social suicide note in television history.

How the deluded McCanns believe their petty excuses and grandiose plans can do anything other than draw attention to their character flaws and criminal neglect beggars belief.

Oh, well. The world likes showmen, and women. The gruesome twosome are like something out of a Dickens novel, I think. Shakespeare would certainly recognise the modern 'Macbeth', for all the McCanns power trips, and warped self-justification.

They'll play on, so long as they have an audience. I won't watch their TV extravaganza. It's ill advised for them, imo, and it is damaging for their remaining children, aged 3, Madeleine's age when she was left sobbing her heart out with them in a dark foreign apartment while her parents stuck to their conscious decision to leave the infants alone while they were at the bar with friends, yet again.

A sickening display of self-indulgence, and narcissism, I think.
Interestingly, most of the public comments on newspaper and broadcast forums has been negative towards the McCanns' excuses, and vanity this week while their Machine of media manipulators stoked interest in tonight's show.
The McCanns damn themselves by their own words, and actions; tonight's show simply provides more evidence against them, I think. Tsk. They deserve to be hoisted by their own petard, and they will be, I think, in due course.
See you sometime, chica. Buona notte.

Today, published pictures of the home made shrine to Madeleine on the McCanns' mantlepiece shows a blue and white pot in the middle - it's an Eastern money pot. How odd, how typical of the McCanns to be so crass. Are they just plain ignorant or are they doing what con artists usually do - lying in public, and laughing in private as they reveal their true intentions in little ways, and smirk at how gullible their 'marks' are? I wonder.

This couple are weird. No doubt about that, imo.

How dare she say bloggers get a kick out of being nasty.

How can they say 100% Madeleine was abducted and someone saw a man with Madeleine. Who was the someone. Was is it Jane Tanner, her description was pathetic, so is their someone else. They were not there when she was 'taken' or just went out through the unlocked patio door and could have possibly been swept out to sea, fell down a sewer or otherwise!

I felt uncomfortable watching them talk about leaving their children, I still have no respect for them and their documentary was boring, glad it is over.

The moral of the story should be NEVER LEAVE BABIES AND CHILDREN ALONE, EVEN FOR A FEW MINUTES. If they had not left their children alone they would not be in the situation they now find themselves in and neither would Madeleine.

Gina said...

Well I just watched the programme and my brief opinion is they possible did not have anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance but even now they still do not seem to realise the reason not to leave small children alone. They still say they thought it was safe but how many times have we pointed out just how unsafe it is to leave toddlers and listed all the things that could happen to them.

Whilst I feel for anybody in this terrible situation there is something about Gerry that does not allow me to warm to him at all.

That's about it from me, off to bed. Good night all

I've just finished watching the McCann's two hour stint on television, plus their news at 10 appearance! They get more air time than my washing!

I can't say I was convinced by them and the programme left more unsaid than was said, although I must admit to be very surprised at how much Kate had to say for herself - Gerry let her do most of the talking this time. I think she is a tougher cookie than she pretends to be!

Many important questions were left out and here are just a few:

1. Why did you accuse the PJ's of not being co-operative when you failed to answer the 40 questions to the PJ's?

2. Why did you leave the children alone again, especially after finding out that Madeleine had been crying.

3. Why did you stay at home praying instead of helping to look for your daughter the night she disappeared.

4. Why did you leave Portugal after saying you would leave no stone unturned.

5. Why do you leave the twins alone so often while making world wide appearances.

6. Why did you not question your tapas friends about M's disappearance - surely everyone should have been questioned that night.

7. What are you doing with all the money made with your media interviews etc. How is it all helping to find Madeleine.

8. Why don't you give us your version of how you think the abductor took Madeleine.

9. Why have you not made it a priority to warn parents never ever to leave their children alone - at home, or on holiday.

10. Why have you used a spokesperson since Madeleine disappeared, when you are quite happy to give interviews to the media and come on here giving your version of what you think happened.

Only one positive thing came out of that interview, and that is the amber alert system they want to be used throughout Europe. However, being a cynic I can't help thinking they were put on to that by David Milliband for his own reasons - and to make the McCanns look like good to the public!

They furiously attacked the PJ's and accused them of leaking the story of Madeleine crying for them - the hatred they have for them came over in leaps and bounds.

No I am still not convinced of the McCanns innocence in Madeleine's disappearance.

Watching the scene of the tapas bar and apartment and seeing the huge pool right nearby, could it have been possible that Madeleine wandered off, fell into the pool and drowned and they found her on their way back to the apartment. Would that make any sense I wonder?

I'm sure everyone can think of many more questions, but I'm tired now and off to bed.

See you all tomorrow - God Bless.

Kate..We were going to go to Milleniums but it was a good walk and we did not have a buggy...~Carrying three between two, we decided we could not do that, it wouldnt have been good for anyone.

Gerry..Tapas only 50 or 60 yards and it seemed like a good idea..Two holidays before did have a baby listening service, we were providing our own baby listening service..you can actually see the appartment it did not seem that far it was just like being in your back garden and what you would NOT do if you were in your back garden is check on them every half an hour

Kate..There is no way I'd have done it if I had the slightest idea of any risk involved

Gerry.. We have to live with the fact we were not directly there and if we were possibly, probably, it would not have happened.

The most upsetting bit of all for me was when they sought to seriously downplay Madeleine pointing out her and Sean were crying the night before, I just had to walk away from the TV at that point.

Do they seriously believe:

a) the public wanted to hear them again, making the above excusatory remarks which just highlight what absolutely awful parents they are

b) this would do anything at all to get them out of trouble or improve their legal position

Kate, for the very first time managed to get real tears to well up in her eyes a few times, I just keep thinking of all the pictures I saw of them in PDL laughing, it gives me the sickest feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Why did she sit and pray, make phone calls and texts in her room all night instead of going out frantically searching for Madeleine, she says they waited till 6 am and started looking under bushes, but this was so contradictory anyway because straight away she was saying "Madeleine has been taken". She says at 6 am they both started searching, well why wait and what was the point if she was so convinced she had been taken, and just how could she possibly have known that?

It is just so horrifying, I cannot believe they keep us this charade.

Hi Viv,

Madeleine, One Year on: ITV 30:04:08 – 8.00pm

Unfortunately I found it impossible to view the whole 2 hour nausea producing documentary.

Madeleine, One Year On was an unashamedly 2 hour public relations film about the McCanns. It was a blatant attempt to influence public opinion and exonerate the McCanns of any culpability in the disappearance of their daughter.

I understand they were paid for this farce; it is an absolute disgrace as other more needy causes would have had to pay millions of pounds for air time and production costs.

In my opinion this documentary was an all time low for ITV scheduling and a naïve support prop for killers.

Gerry's reply:-

It is comments like that that will never change opinion of their parenting skills and their lack of acceptance that they did no wrong leaving the kids. They still don't get it do they. The kids were left out of sight and earshot not just the once but several times and we all know the many many things that could have happened to them. Whether they had anything to do with M's disappearance or not the bottom line is they did not do their best to prevent anything happening.

I really cannot be bother to discuss last nights programme I just hope that was the last of them and any further programmes of that nature are to do something useful to help all missing children

Absolutely well said - the company who allowed that 2 hour long violin serenade should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. If they really care about children they should donate the £10,000 to the NSPCC!

They failed to ask one question to make the McCanns squirm - talk about a one sided programme!

nancy said...

LGC -

LOL! Going back a bit, but you got it in one! I did feel last night though that Kate was much stronger than she lets on! In fact, she came over as the stronger one! She almost cried once when talking about how the PJ's had let her tale about M asking why she hadn't been there when crying - possibly thinking she could well get the Social Services on her doorstep soon! Pigs might fly!

I find it beyond belief that few in the media find their cashing in on Madeleine's disappearance as shameful! Also that they can find a 2 hour slot for child neglectors while other children missing who went astray through no fault of their parents, are deemed not so important! How must their parents feel?

nancy said...

Good morning Viv -

I may be cynical but I think the tears were for what she dreads might evolve from the PJ's investigations which are still continuing and the forensic evidence still outstanding!

They had the cheek to criticise the PJ's when they didn't have the nerve to stay in Portugal and answer the 40 questions - and the programme makers didn't even ask them about that - disgusting!

Well they wanted to get home to the UK to carry on a normal life for the twins - some normal life, with them in front of the cameras most of the time and off on away trips!

I wonder what the different European counries' representatives were thinking about when Kate was addressing them all in Brussels! The look on some of their faces was absolute amazement - probably at these two child neglectors bald faced cheek in going there in the first place! We must be the laughing stock of Europe!!

LittleGreyCell said...

Hello Mandarinn,

A GCSE is a national school examination in the UK taken at the age of 16. Most kids do from 5 - 10 of them in different subjects, and they are taken two years prior to 'A' Levels, sat at the age of 18, before a university or college course.

AAAaaarrrrrggghhhh!!!!

Hello Mandarinn -

In case LGC doesn't come back for a while - GCSE means General Certificate of Secondary Education! An exam that students have to take at what used to be called Secondary Modern, but are now called Comprehensive! The UK love to change titles - they don't have anything else to worry about!

They say that the UK take more exams than any other country, but many of the kids still leave without being able to spell and add up unfortunately - due to the Ministry of Education deciding in the 60's to dumb down lessons for those subjects - in other words spelling was deemed not to be important, and calculators were introduced so the brain stopped working! So the teachers who are teaching now weren't taught properly themselves if you know what I mean! I could go on but I'm probably boring everyone stiff.

Stella said...

The two hours of theatrical brainwashing and Kate’s repetitive “you know” and non-drip tears, has left me feeling quite perplexed.

At first we are invited to see into their post bag. Oh yes, let’s show a really big box marked up with "well wishers" and a very small box marked up with "nasty". Can you believe it? No, Kate and Gerry you are wrong, 99% of people do not wish you well.

Why did Kate feel the need to make a point of saying that there were 9 adults and kids, who went on that holiday? If it was so important to mention the exact number of adults, why was it not important to mention the exact number of kids? Could this be to deter from the questionable 10th member of the party? I distinctly remember a very early report that there was a member of the party who could not be named. Why has this never been mentioned again?

Kate described herself recently as a lioness fighting to protect her cubs. Well on the very night it should have kicked in, it didn’t, did it Kate? Rather than searching frantically she was praying and making phone calls…… Kate, for your information a true lioness would have spent every possible second meticulously combing the entire area, shouting, screaming and knocking everyone else out of the way to do her own search, on the verge of collapse. Perhaps you confused the behaviour of a lioness with that of six week old kitten?

In the closing 10 minutes, Kate is talking about comments from bloggers. At the start of the conversation Gerry is lovingly with an open hand, caressing Kate’s left arm. Right at the point she mentions what people are saying on the internet, Gerry’s open hand tightens to a fist and is still rubbing her arm with a tightly closed fist. Is this a sign of hidden aggression?

So this morning they were live on GMTV, later on no doubt it will be This morning and tomorrow, it’s the turn of Missing Live, on BBC1 at 9.15 a.m.

The McCann’s can spend all their time on worthless interviews, but the one group of people they should be spending time with is the Portuguese Police. Your continual avoidance clearly says only one thing?

Cláudia said...

"People have different ways of parenting".

Well, I hope that monster in Austria, the one who locked her daughter in the basement for 24 years, who raped her and who fathered her 7 children remembers to use that excuse. He'll be out of trouble I'm sure, and the authorities will have to accept that he just uses an alternative way of parenting.

You are disgusting, K&G.

LittleGreyCell said...

Just looking in briefly 'cos I've work to do (and Hope might be watching!) ;)

Stella,

Quite agree with you. I thought exactly the same thing about the tiny box marked 'nasty' - and you didn't even see any papers in it!

How on earth do they expect people to believe in their innocence when everything is staged and manipulated like this?

They're an absolute disaster when they're being interviewed. It's SO obvious Gerry is - almost literally - pulling Kate's strings. Well, Gerry, you may feel you're in charge, but your non-verbal leakage is shockingly pertinent.

Video of interview on GMTV this morning:-

http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=24657&iframe=roo&channel=GMTV%20Highlights&clipid=1441_gmtv_1855

Fawning Phillips called people who think negative things about them - "nutters" - a "vociferous minority". Can she really believe this or are those large salary dollar signs in her eyes?

$$

Watch in horror as Gerry talks ONLY about abduction as being the harm that could have come to the kids - not vomiting, not screaming themselves into a frenzy, falling out of bed...

Also notice how Kate refers to ending it by pulling the duvet over her head "and it's all over".

Hmm.

Clarence: they're a complete disaster. Keep them away from the media, for god's sake.

Joe said...

There is not one interviewer so far who has asked the real questions of the McCanns and not likely to be either it looks like. They skip over everything and are treated with kid gloves. No problem myself with that if they had co-operated with the PJ but they have not. Yet here they are in soft focus on safe TV having a chat. Talk all the like about the neglect issue, the PJ .WHERE IS MADELINE would be my question.

Cláudia said...

It's a shame they don't accept a live interview with a Portuguese TV channel...

Stella -

You are right in everything you say, except the bit about 'worthless' interviews!

They certainly aren't 'worthless' to the McConns - they got a nice tidy £10,000 from that programme - how much from GMTV, and all the others no doubt lined up - a nice little packet I'm sure. Money and fame is what it is all about in my opinion! They are living off the disappearance of their daughter and that to me is shameless! If they gave it all to childrens' charities then it would at least do some good! Why do they still need money to look for Madeleine, because everyone from here to the north pole know Madeleine's face now! I suppose it's to pay their puppet CM and the Metodo 3 who they have given another six month contract too apparently!!
Just what do they continue hiring that crap company for? They've come up with nothing so far for their money!

I just wish this case could move on and the forensic results that are awaited from the UK received by the PJ's. Then perhaps we will know whether the McCanns will be charged with anything at all or if they will just carry on with their celebrity lifestyle forever and a day! The latter is more probable, because if they are charged there will be a lot of red faces on all those in the media who have bent over backwards to defend these child neglectors.

Hello LGC,

I will bet your right, as Mitchell would not be too happy about the blanket TV interviews, and HE is not in them. They probably feel now IMO very confident and in the clear, so they can go ahead with the bigger agenda. If the authorities in the UK do not see it as a problem that they returned from holiday without their daughter then what is there to be done? They have never been treated as suspects in the proper sense, but as celebrities. I just cannot understand why media people will not ask the real questions and all the anomalies that are just begging to be exposed. Nancy its no wonder K&G say they believe Madeleine is still alive – whilst they project this idea then the Find Madeleine Fund remain open and money can still pour in through media interviews and their subsequent donations to the fund.

LittleGreyCell said...

Joe,

I think the TV stations have to give assurances that they will go easy on them, else the lovely pair won't grace their sofas. Since it's a HUGE coup for viewers and advertising to get them into their studios, they play ball.

All this comes down from on high, too. It's the network controllers who have the say; I happen to know that GMTV producers don't have an awful lot of power.

LittleGreyCell said...

Wizard,

Did you watch the GMTV interview this morning? Kate said in no uncertain terms that Madeleine had been removed from her bed and it was important to focus on this as the crime...

Yes, I bet it is!

nancy said...

LGC -

I must admit to watching the whole thing, and so did my other half under duress!! His opinion is that poor little Madeleine is in the middle of the Atlantic somewhere thrown from someones yacht!!

I really wanted to see if I could find a vestige of sympathy for the pair but in fact I came away believing what they say even less than before!

To be quite honest, I find the McCanns a very irritating couple to watch - they certainly don't come over as fully qualified intelligent doctors at all!

I agree the Apprentice is much more entertaining to watch!

The Apprentice versus The Kate and Gerry Show. Hmm.

One's full of arrogant egoists in pursuit of a lot of money who think they know it all, and so is The Apprentice...

Joe said...

They are not going to accept any criticism and Kate is going to push the abduction issue. Fine IMO, they know what happened but it would have more gravitas if they told the PJ and cleared their names and then we would take their claims seriously, otherwise such statements by Kate are hollow and meaningless.

nancy said...

Wizard -

Yes, and one of these days when they've accrued enough of the big bucks between them they'll sail off into the sunset,(probably when the twins have left home), and spend their declining years living in luxury and laughing up their sleeves knowing how they managed to fool some people, (but not all, I might add)!!!

Gina said...

Joe exactly right IMO. I have heard Clarence say many times that the McCanns have innocent explanations to the blood found etc. and they are totally innocent of anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance. I therefore cannot see why the have kept these innocent explanations to themselves. I would have thought giving that information to the Police would have finalised their status once and for all. It is clear they do not like the PJ but there was nothing stopping them talking to the UK police involved in this case. There is absolutely no excuse IMO for lack of co-operation and if they had got their name cleared as a result of this, then at least everything would be focused on the abduction. It would not have changed some of our opinions about their parenting skills, and the way the fund money has been spent etc. but it would have put the whole focus on Madeleine which is what they claim they want.

Coffee break over, will look back later xx

ratonthebeam said...

I just caught wee bits of the show last night, but I'll tell you what I did notice, see what you think!

1. The Bad Ventriloquist act.

2. When K&G were interviewed by the American guy at the Missing Kids centre. The man told them a story about a kid who was rescued by the Amber Alert, and used the words "this child was on the point of being executed." At mention of the word "executed", Kate started to cry. Gerry started to rub his nose and pull his ears!

3. The mantlepiece DEFINITELY features a terramundi, centre stage!

4. Kate gets on the Eurostar to Brussels, sits down on the train, immediately and unconsciously cradles her stomach with both hands. They have either just had IVF again or she is already pregnant.

5. Kate speaking about the Daily Express. She starts to cry at the hurtful things that are written in the papers ABOUT THEM! Why is it bloomin' well always about THEM???

6. At the EU Parliamemnt, Kate looks like she is wanting to be anywhere else but there. Gerry thinks he is a bleedin' politician!!!! That man is just getting right on my threepennies now!!!!

7. Who has a clothes horse full of wet clothes in the middle of the living room?!

There are other things but that's all I can quote for now. Stage managed tripe, all of it, and hopefully not fooling too many people. And I hope the PJ were watching, as they were quite clearly accused again of leaking information that we now know to have come from M3.

LittleGreyCell said...

Rat,

Most of your highlights appeared in the second half when I was watching Alan Sugar (who appears to be a bit more loveable then those two)...but I expect that the wet clothes were meant to denote good housekeeping.

Was there a scene in which they washed down the walls with bleach, too? And did you see them nip out to the 4 X 4 for a joint of meat, perchance?

Joe said...

Nancy/Gina,

It will be September at least I will bet before the PJ decide if they can pursue a case, which seems unlikely at the minute, but I may be wrong. It is Kate now who appears to have the grit and determination, and not the weak fragile person she was portrayed as in the media, I myself did not ever believe that. It all depends on an individual how he/she puts a loss into perspective.... whats done is done, cannot bring her back, nothing we can do now, have to move on, etc are some of the perspectives that people especially doctors who are trained to be pragmatic and dispense with emotion deal with loss.

Wizard said...

Hi LGC,
I didn’t watch GMTV this morning but in a similar vane Kate said last night “A man was seen carrying Madeleine away at the top of the street”. Oh right – ms Tanner’s observation.

Kate also said last night in response to a mention of her arguido status. “Living like this for another 40 years is not a happy prospect”. She then burst into tears. I would suggest she look on the bright side as some might consider it’s better than spending 8/10 years in a Portuguese prison and public humiliation.

Wizard said...

Rat,
7. Who has a clothes horse full of wet clothes in the middle of the living room?!

Well everyone who want to look like just an ordinary family going about their daily chores, especially when the television cameras are just about to roll. I wonder who did the set design?

nancy said...

LGC-

All those shows would be right up their street - especially Question Time and Call My Bluff!!!

I just watched the GMTV with that pathetic interviewer - she nearly fell over herself fawning the whole time!

I didn't see a trace of regret or suffering on their faces; in fact they were so well made up they looked like a couple of movie stars! Oh yes, of course, that's what they are these days! No time for breakfast with the twins then?

Kate's hand movements were all over the place again - she must have a bit of Latin blood in her veins!

I look forward to the next 'sighting' - I imagine CM is feeling quite unloved at the moment! M3 will be rubbing their hands with glee no doubt and scratching their heads to find something to come up with!!

Off to get lunch now - see you all later!!

Stella said...

When I heard Gerry say that, it was the cherry on the cake for me. I also hope the PJ takes no mercy with these two. How dare he make statements like that.

I need to go back and look at what you said about Kate holding her tummy on the train. For months I have been thinking she would get pregnant again soon, more sympathy as a "pregnant woman" and how could they jail a "pregnant woman". Would not put any scheme past these two low lifes.

ratonthebeam said...

LGC, last night we had some bad news. There are a number of Council budget cuts going on in our region, and there has been a plan on the table since January to close 6 Primary Schools in the city. We have been campaigning for the past 4 months to get them kept open. We threw everything we had into it, heart and soul.

The school is just a wee school, only 100 kids in it, and there is a real sense of family and community there. It celebrated its' 100th birthday a couple of years ago, so there is a real sense of history too. But because it is in a beautiful Victorian B Listed building, right in the centre of town, we know that the Council just want to sell it off for luxury flats or something. It has b*gger all to do with education IMHO.

Well last night we got the news that the Council are going to close all 6 schools anyway, regardless of public opinion. The kids are heartbroken, because they will not even be sent to the same school, they will all be split up and sent to 6 or 7 different schools, so they will be separated from their friends and peers at a critical point in their education.

Last night I had two sobbing kids to deal with, and believe me there is nothing, but nothing, more painful than seeing your child so upset and being completely incapable of taking the pain away. If I could have lifted their grief away and taken it on myself, I would. Instead, I just feel angry, and let down, and completely bl**dy impotent.

HOW could Kate leave the wee ones crying like that? I could quite honestly wring the woman's neck. And as for that pathetic excuse for a "father", I hope he gets shoved in with the hardest, toughest inmates in the nastiest Portuguese jail imaginable, and then he can see what real fathers think of child neglecters.

I have steam coming out of my ears for you, Rat. You may remember I have a Politics degree, but I also studied local government on my journalism course. 'Spitting' and 'blood' often appeared in the same sentence for a whole range of reasons: education, environment (with bi-monthly refuse collections), taxation - you name it, all the policies seem to be geared to pissing off the entire population, rather than being designed in their best interests.

In Brighton there's now a (literal) lottery situation vis a vis school allocation. Amazingly logistically unsound and a bloody nightmare for all concerned.

Let's all emigrate! (Portugal sounds lovely!)

What about the Rachel Oldfield statement claiming she did not hear Madeleine calling, or have we forgotten all about that one now.

How did an abductor get in their room the night before? Had it been left unlocked every night of that holiday? Why would he return the following night and take her, when he could of taken her there and then.

If I recall correctly there was hardly a word about the questioning of the Tapas 7 from Sky and now the story of the latest witness. Real balanced reporting, not. Its a joke another spin story and Sky IMO have been complicit in helping the Pink one to spin and spin.

Cláudia said...

"The young British woman, whose identity we are not revealing, saw a man "hovering" around the family's Algarve apartment on the morning of May 3, hours before Madeleine vanished.

She was asked back for more questioning last week, according to Sky sources.

The witness was sitting on a balcony overlooking the holiday complex in Praia da Luz when she spotted the man acting suspiciously.

She thought little of his behaviour at the time and returned to the UK later that day.

When she heard of Madeleine's disappearance she reported it to her local police force and was interviewed for the first time.

She gave detectives a detailed description of the suspect and helped an artist compile a computer-generated image of him.

It is not clear whether that image was ever released."
---------------------------------
So, she returned to Britain, told the authorities she had seen the 'abbuctor', described him, a sketch of the 'abductor' was done but never released? That witness id either very unreliable or the British Police is extremely incompetent. I guess what of these alternatives is correct...

LittleGreyCell said...

I think I've seen that image of this new suspect...he's two feet tall, has large round black ears on each side of his head, sports bright red shorts and yellow shoes, and answers to the name of Mickey.

Apparently, he was on holiday in Praia da Luz with his wife Minnie, and their children Huey, Dewy, Louis and Clarence...

Joe said...

LGC/Claudia,

That's just my point no real news channel would run such rubbish if it wanted to be taken as credible by its viewers but its Sky and has to fill its airtime with insulting rubbish. Some witness eh? 12 months too late and for the McCanns no doubt? Whatever happened to impartiality in the media?

Kate tells us it was last minute change of plan which meant she and Gerry left the kids in the apartment the night Madeleine disappeared.

Not as last minute as she would like us to believe. Kate tells us they were going to take the children with them to the Millennium restaurant like they did the first night they were there. I would have thought it would have looked a bit suspicious turning up with 2 children instead of 3 and completely blown the abduction theory. There is very little doubt in my mine that Madeleine died the night of the 2nd or at a stretch the afternoon of the 3rd.

Hiya all

I see people did pick up the tension between the two of them when it came to discussing blogs. Could it be that Kate contributes to a certain blog and Gerry is not happy about that, so many of Kate's own phrases seem to get trotted out on that blog, "Madeleine was taken from her bed" and Chinadoll is treated like a bit of a star turn when she does turn up which is increasingly rare..just a thought.

Gerry is so cynically calculating he almost makes me laugh sometimes, we were told 99 per cent support them and then he reads out the most disgusting christmas card to represent the one per cent. He just wants to continue in denial, ignoring millions of people who are utterly appalled by their parenting style. What they did was not parenting it was wicked abuse and neglect, criminal offences, he can continue in denial but the police are not listening to those excuses.

Clarence Mitchell has always been at their side when they were involved in PR that he personally approved of, where is he now? I sense not only a rift in approach between Kate and Gerry but in between Clarence and them also, most likely between Gerry and Clarence in the main who were destined to fall out. They are both self-centred egotists who just have to be right. I think it is just Gerry who is the driving force behind what we see now and I think he looked quite dejected, unshaven, he needs to be in control and he knows he is not. When people have gone so far down the road of a disastrous piece of behaviour, it is often seen, they just cannot turn back and will continue in full on self destruct mode, this is what we now see from the very desperate Kate and Gerry McCann.

Their remarks are staggering, what of the emotional harm to little Madeleine and Sean by just being left to cry, this can have a devastating impact on children. Do they just once choose to address this, no of course they don't.

hope4truth said...

Hello All

I am still pain free hooray...

I could not watch all the program last night it was false beyond words and the music made me want to throw myself under the nearest bus....

I have been reading news reports today and cant belive they have the nerve to ask people to call with any information they have as it may help? If Kate had tried to help by answering questions tht the PJ were asking I may believe she wants to know where Madeleine is.

The lioness comment was in poor taste as she did not show the slightest concern when she chose to neglect her 3 children she did not show any maternal instinct yet becaus the nasty PJ asked her questions she had to defend the twins?

Gerry said it was no longer safe for them in Portugal so they came home the Pros have allways insisted that it was planned anyway.

I hope Maureen 7 was watching last night she used to get very nasty if you said there was no listening service yet they admited last night there was not one and they knew before they went. I think all listening services are stupid but in this case there wasnt one because it was not safe (dont think they mentioned that bit though)...

Hardly anyone I know watched it last night the few who did like me got bored and turned over.

A televised reconstruction should go ahead now with actors and it should be filmed several diffrent ways to show all the diffrences between statemets.

As for Mark Williams Thomas saying he thought she had got up and wandered off that cant please Kate as she insists she was lifted out of bed because of the sheets.

Missed the blog bit to be honest if my daughter was missing the last thing I would be worried about would be what people were saying about me on line and I dont think I would actually read any of the mail sent (good wishes or bad) I would be to busy searching.

If that was ment to show them as the vicitms all I can say is Madeleine is still the only victim in any of this.

Just picking up on one more thing from reading all the posts, the look on the MEP's faces. It was a look of complete consternation and amazement wasn't it, like they were witnessing some macabre but nevertheless compelling and fascinating scene being played out right before their eyes.

Devious human behaviour does fascinate. It is behaviour that is so distinct from normal and so people want to try and understand what motivates such people. It is that behaviour that compels people together with a wish to see that behaviour overcome by the police and justice given to little Madeleine and all children who suffer from such abusive parents.

Those are the two reasons I continue to be involved anyway...I want to see light instead of darkness.. I know it is there somewhere..

Unknown said...

Hiya Hope

I do remember Maudlin7 calling me a liar on numerous occasions and stating that she had the proof I was a liar because she had kept my posts where I was insisting there was no listening service at PDL.

How did they ever believe their own abusive lies were ever going to defend these two?

Even if there had been a listening service it is frankly horrifying that Gerry tells us they went on two prior holidays and used such services. That would mean his children were even tinier still when they were leaving them. Listening services are clearly not designed for very young children, what normal parent would consider this satisfactory anyway? Children pose different risks to themselves by being left alone at different ages. There was a good link posted on here where a social worker was speaking, it is up to the parent to decide when the child has the intellect and reasoning power, together with the ability to call emergency services, for it ever to be safe to leave them alone. He was clearly suggesting that a bright child of say 12 could perhaps be left for short periods, even so that would be a worrying thing to do.

There is no question in any normal parents mind of leaving children the age these three were alone, for one single minute. They always need to be in earshot and heavily supervised. They do not have the ability to reason when they wake up crying, oh I will call mom on her mobile, oh I will put the light on and watch TV for a bit, she will be right back, they are just in terrible danger.

Joe said...

G and K are bound together now with whatever they may know and share. This may prove to be burden too much in a marriage, and resentment or blame will ensue at some stage leading to acrimony IMO, the writing is on the wall.

On the program This Morning, Fern asked the McCann's to clarify if they did leave the children all alone every night. Kate remained frozen in her seat and Gerry quite agitated said that they are unable to discuss the details la, la,la, you know the usual. He then went on to say, it has been widely reported that we all went for dinner on the first night at the Millenium restaurant and all the other nights we did the same.

What did he mean by all the other nights we did the same? Did the same what? leaving them all alone, eat at the same place? I cannot put my finger on it but there is something more to this answer, there's something not quite right with what he said??

Gina said...

Viv re your reference to the MEP's faces. Did you also notice that many did not applaud at the end either. I was interested to see the vote, they are a long way short of the amount needed even to get this on the agenda. I think anything to help find missing children is a great idea and would like to see it implemented but as usual the McCanns got it wrong. IMO they may have a high profile, but until they havebeen proven totally innocent not everybody is going to take them seriously. They have probably done more harm than good choosing this time to make an appeal.

dolores said...

Why did G smile when he said it was a nightmare?

I agree Gerry without parents like you, when you admit you were in the habit of leaving your children with only a momitor to baby sit them.

Stella said...

Gina, hi

Does this mean they did not succeed? I was wondering what the outcome was.

Joe said...

IMO no rational, reasonable, decent person could or would accept 2 suspects as agents to promote the profile of missing children, not until those 2 were completely exonerated and cleared of any involvement, as to do so goes against the fundamentals of logic. No wonder then many MEP's were unhappy at what had been thrust upon them. The McCanns in turn appeared to suffer no embarrassment at having put themselves on the platform and putting all thes MEP's in a very awkward position. It may come back to haunt them.

dolores said...

Stella -

I missed the 'cherry on the cake remark' - what was that about?

The McCanns are brain washing the media into believing that Madeleine was taken from her bed by some predator. They don't want people to think that she got up from her bed, went down all those steps and was snatched by a paedophile while looking for them, because that would make their crime seem even more heinous; leaving the patio doors open for example!

Frankly I don't believe either the McCann's version or the Sky reporter's - bit of a coincidence that a paedophile just happened to be walking along the road when Madeleine came along; possible I suppose, but highly unlikely!

The McCanns are beginning to believe their own porky pies now!!

Changing the subject, I wasn't convinced before but I am warming moe to the belief (tongue in cheek) that Sassy and the gang were the McCann family all along! Strange that they all disappeared from view just when all these programmes have been lined up for K&G. To date, ITV, GMTV, Sky News, BBC news, and that's only the ones we know about - oh yes, Hello Magazine photocalls for 12 issues, so they couldn't do the blogging at the same time! Chinadoll seems the perfect match for Kate! It could be that when all the furore has died down about the anniversary of poor Madeleine's disappearance, that they will return full on with their heartfelt opinions once again!!

Off for a nice long walk now - catch you all later!
