Further new addition to Pet's Corner OPUS, Littlegreycell's loving little Pengy, on this shot he was being a little naughty and had gone off the crispy herring tart, enjoying some candy floss for a special treat. I am sure you need to watch his diet LGC, but generally do as he looks in really top shape:-) I hope he does not get too jealous of Dylan playing in the sea and he and Nanday dont fall out and start beaking into each other...
New addition to pet's page - THIS IS DYLAN - Dillie's lovely dog obviously having a whale of a time bringing something good back for mom and about to give her a nice little shower! What a lovely baby!
Below is Nanday, my Red-Lored Amazon. He is now aged 10 and he we have had him since two years. He is quite shy and retiring by nature and it took me 6 months after buying him to be able to stroke him. He will only allow me to pick him up and cuddle him and if I get near his cage he will jump on to my shoulder to go for a ride around which he loves. He will allow my son to kiss him but not stroke him. Like many parrots he is afraid of hands due to being grabbed by someone sometime. He will get extremely aggressive with vets who try to clip his beak or claws. The last time we took him it took two of them and one got bit! He says hello in various different voices representing me and my sons. He also says where's Luke and good boy. Whenever he sees food being prepared he hangs off his cage shouting thankyou and really does expect to share human food or goes into a mardy. At this time of year he starts to scream rather loudly as he attempts to call a lady amazon down out of the sky to fulfill his masculine needs and tends to get rather amorous with certain shaped toys. He has a love hate relationship with my eldest son and loves to play rough with him. dusting the top of his head with his beak and hurling a toy owl across the room for him to repeatedly bring back for the same baby throw the toy game over and over. Parrots are reputed to have the intellect and reasoning power of a four year old child and he certainly displays many different emotions. Sometimes, even with me, he may be in a very pscyed up mood and does not want to cuddle at all. This is usually if he has been listening to Luke's clubbing tunes which he shouts, talks and sings along loudly to, or if he has been watching kiddy cartoons which he loves. Other times he is the most incredible soft little lap puppy, flicking all his head and neck feathers up and twisting his head around in various directions showing me where he wants stroking, whilst doing this he will often suck my finger, on lie on the other hand.
