In this lull before the storm coming for fraudsters, we decent people have the chance to be grateful for the strangers we have met along the way of seeking Justice for Maddie, and every child, however long it takes.
'Foreigner'. In Old English, that word just meant 'stranger'. A stranger was anyone outside the village. Even today, most people live and die within 10 miles of where they were born in the U.K., so I'm told.
So, perhaps, the world weird web will unite strangers in a way that no language could ever do.

Perhaps the world weird web will protect decent values IF the silent majority defend OUR beliefs in simple honesty, despite the sophisticated self serving ways of thugs, manipulators, power freaks who ignore children's needs, and manipulate adult ignorance.
We'll see, in time, won't we?

Couple saw bundle taken out to sea near where Madeleine disappeared but police ignored them

A British couple saw a package being bundled onto a jetski on a beach just six miles from where Madeleine McCann went missing.
The tourists had been for a morning swim just nine hours after the little girl disappeared when they spotted the jetski.
A man in a dark wetsuit was riding it, with a 2ft- to 3ft-long black package on the front.
He took it to a small "official-looking" grey boat moored just off the coast at Salema.
But despite reporting the sighting to staff at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz - where Madeleine had been staying - police have not interviewed the couple.
Last night the McCanns's spokesman said they were concerned the Portuguese police had not followed up such a "potentially significant lead".
The new witnesses came forward after months of concern that the report had not been investigated by police hunting for the four-year-old.
The couple from south-west England, who did not want to be named, were visiting relatives Patrick Matthews, 37, and his wife Eliza, 25, in Salema, near Praia da Luz.
Mr Matthews said: "They were afraid to come forward but we know the police were informed of this, just days after, and yet we were not interviewed or even contacted."

Diversionary tactics continue ... there's clearly a need to draw attention away from the person seen by the Smiths - why ? Because it was O'brien.

All sightings (except those from France and Dorset) are meant to put emphasis on one thing:

Wrapped as a "package", someone would have remeberd the sight, but with a sportsbag or suitcase, noone would find it suspicios...Or a push-pram.

Ironside hit the nail firmly on the head with this. Clarrie's alarm is the reason for the diversionary fictitious version in the Evening Standard.
Forums are heavily monitored; every time a person reaches the truth, next day's PR is designed to try and counteract it. The article in the Evening Standard confirms Ironside's thread has caused panic and alarm - yet again. 10.20 a.m.

Today’s story of a possible sighting is like all that have gone before. They are all about creating reasonable doubt against the pj’s assertion that Madeleine’s parents are culpable for her disappearance. Nothing more, nothing less.

I was reading Ironside’s thread on 3A’s last night about the Smith family’s sighting. Although he puts forward a good argument, on this one, I have to disagree. If it was O’Brien carrying Madeleine why would he make it so obvious it would have been so much simpler to conceal the child in a buggy and push it down to the beach no need to be so overt. Why hasn’t Clarence responded well imo he doesn’t want to draw attention to anything that castes further doubts of Tanner’s version of events. The Smith’s sighting at 10.00pm of a man carrying a child in pink pyjama’s in a different direction ¾ of an hour after Tanner’s sighting takes impetus from her claim, which is tenuous already.

An Irish tourist who saw someone carrying a child in a blanket on the night Madeleine McCann disappeared insists that the mystery man was not Robert Murat.
Robert MuratMartin Smith, from Drogheda in Co Louth, was on holiday in Praia Da Luz with his family when they bumped into the man just before 10pm on May 3 last year.
The Smith family's suspicions were aroused because the man made no response when they asked if the barefoot child was asleep.
"He just put his head down and averted his eyes, which is very unusual in a tourist town at such a quiet time of the year," said Mr Smith.
Initially the Smith family thought nothing more of the encounter - and even the next day when the story broke they still didn't make the connection.
"We were home two weeks when my son rang me up and asked was he dreaming or did we meet a man carrying a child the night Madeleine was taken," said Mr Smith.
"We all remembered the same recollection, and I felt we should report it to the police.
"We've all been beating ourselves up that we should have made the link sooner, if only we'd remembered the next day.
"But the Portuguese police said you see these things on holiday all the time."
The Smiths did contact the Portuguese police once they had returned to Ireland, but say they have had no contact with the officers investigating the case since May last year.
"I rang the Portuguese police and they took a statement from me on the phone," said Mr Smith.
"They asked me to make a statement to the Gardai, which I did, and two days later Leicestershire police got on to us.
"My eldest son, Peter, my youngest daughter, Aoife, and I then flew to Luz to make a statement. They didn't seem to be the most efficient police you ever came across - and that was the last time we had any contact with the investigation.
Madeleine McCann is still missing"I don't know if this information will help the McCanns, but anything we can do to help try to solve it, we will.
"We were looking at all the commotion on Sky News and we really felt quite helpless. We had two grandchildren with us at the time and it had a terrible effect on them - they all wanted to sleep in the same room as us."
But Mr Smith is certain that the man he and his family saw that night was not Robert Murat, who is still officially an "arguido" in the Madeleine McCann investigation.
"I told police it was definitely not him because the man wasn't as big as Murat - I think I would have recognised him because I'd met him several times previously.
"He was wearing beige trousers and a darker top. We all put him in his early 40s and I didn't think he was Portuguese."
Mr Smith's sighting is similar to the one reported by Jane Tanner, a friend of the McCann family.
A spokesman for the McCanns said detectives from the Spanish agency hired to investigate the case are now hoping to speak to the Smiths.
Retired Mr Smith, 58, does not wish to appear on camera in order to protect his family from media intrusion.

I read Martin Brunts blog yesterday where he compares the media reporting on maddie and shannon.How unalike they are and that they should not be....
Reading on I read some of the replies, not too favourable with Martin....However I came across one post , who said something that made me think.....

Why has this not been jumped on by Mitchel and Metodo why have they not asked this man if it is the same as Tanners description?
Why have they not asked him for a description....This sighting seems to have been taken pretty seriously by PJ....He has told them it was not Murat he is adamant...He said he spoke to this man carrying a child toward the beach and asked "is she asleep" he said the man did not answer , but lowered his head and walked on....
If he was close enough to speak with this man , and he is sure it was not Murat , he must have been able to give his description to the police....Why have they not released this photofit....?
I am going to give my opinion of what I think happened.....I think the Irishman bumped into O'Brian.....There was some report that the reason they did not phone the police straight away was because they were concerned about neglect charges and had a meeting....I think it was because O'Brian wanted to tell them that he had been seen and what should he do....
Otherwise why hold back on Tanners witnessing bundleman?
Thoughts may have been (no disrespect to the Irish) he was drunk, he probably won't remember anything in the morning....but, in case he does Tanner decides if need be she will also say she saw man with child....
We would then have two witnesses.....They may have thought the following day this sighting plus description would be all over the tabloids.....it was not....
What next O'Brian knows he has been seen.....Tanner comes forward egghead is born....still nothing ......

The pink blanket that she hotly denies ever mentioning....in her first statement....knowing that this was maddies comforter and not cuddle cat....
Mitchell has gone out of his way along with Metodo to get as far away as possible with regards to this sighting.....it is never mentioned and yet it is the most important of all...It was the night of the alleged abduction.....on this one mitchel is silent....we have the same now with the dogs.....the discovery of this torture chamber for children could not have come at a worse time for the mccanns...these dogs that gerry said were dragged back to his car are showing their worth.....yet not a word from Mitchel.....or gerry giving his "We feel your pain"......When something positive arises we have only silence.....
I think we are today just a little bit closer to finding out what happened on 3rd May and maybe a little closer to bringing justice for madeleine....

As you'll see from articles just pasted from 3 A's, the Police do have witness statements.
I don't know the surface of the beach in Luz, i.e. pushchair friendly - swivel wheel versions can be a nightmare. The Smiths did not witness whether or not the child in the pyjamas was transported in a buggy, i.e. from O'brien's apartment (cadaver scent also found there), then lifted and carried for concealment at around 10.00 p.m.
There's absolutely no rational explanation for a man in khaki trousers to be on the beach with a 'sleeping' child at that time night of time. Who would lift a sleeping child at around 9.50 a.m. for beach walkabout ?
I totally agree with Ironside's thinking on this. It caused enough alarm in camp McCann for a 'story' to suddenly be published by Clarrie. 11.55 a.m.

If he'd got rid of it, it would be one more pointer as to his involvement through his DNA had it been discovered. And how would he explain going back to the holiday complex with an empty buggy?

There were photos of the McCanns pusing 2 different buggies whilst in Portugal, one had 4 wheels the other three, reason given for getting the new, the other was stolen, so they had a sports bag stolen and buggy, quite a coincidence.I think the Mccann files might show the 2 buggies but Ecolab had photos also. ...I make that a sports bag gone missing and a buggy, plus a little girl. And someone needed medical attention on one of Gerry's flights back to the UK, and then, just after he'd landed, he had his wallet stolen!
Oh, not to mention the freezer in the rented villa breaking down just as the McCanns walked in through the door carrying armfuls of dirty nappies and rotting meat.

It defies belief doesn't it - these people are paid by the electorate to uphold law and order. The corruption in this case from the Government down is almost as shocking as poor Maddie's death and disappearance.
So many people have been snding supportive e-mails to PJ & Leicester Police - whose reponse is "At the heart of this enquiry is an innocent little girl who went missing in May 2007. Our focus remains in doing whatever we can to assist Judiciary Police & Portuguese Authorities to find out what happened to Madeleine. I am sure that you would support us in this".

I read about the buggy issue on 3 A's a while back. It's a mine of information - little grey comrade, pay a visit with Opus - lots of photos to keep him occupied away from herrings !
There are photo's of Kate injuries and Maddie minus the highly highly publicised coloboma - doctored for McCanns' defence. It's a symptom of charges syndrome - trying to label Maddie as a sufferer to explain away her 'difficult' behaviour. The contents of Kate's diary feature strongly in the eyes of the Police, i.e. her struggles with looking after children. A medically 'disordered' child suits the parents' purpose. All photo's on 3 A's show a totally normal child. I expect she was very insecure, given the parents habits of leaving their children alone.
The depth of cold calculated planning for diversionary and grossly misleading purpose is, to me, spine chilling.

I am sorry George kept calling you Viv - guess I got the real prize!
I did think Opus was excellantly oiled and turned out, he is a real credit to you, but the crispy herring pankakes he prepared did give off a somewhat overpowering odour. Aside from that, what a fantastic do with Will and George there eyeing up the talent!
Maybe we could nominate Psychopops and Assasin for a similar award - it is hard to imagine who might run away with the prize! Suspect Psychopops might cheat and steal it because there are so many contributors to its personality.
On reading back I read Ironside's post with interest and also the article posted by 2345 about the Smiths. Just a few thoughts. Firstly, I do find it very odd that they did not make the connection with a man carrying a sleeping child towards the beach at that time of night who did not even want to speak to them until two weeks later. But I am not saying his evidence if false. People seem to be assuming this person must have been O'Brien but it could not have been because Mr Smith says he was smaller than Murat. O'Brien is noticeably very tall and this would have been a distinguishing feature to identify him. Secondly Mr Smith describes those beige trousers and dark top that we have seen Gerry McCann wearing. If the Smiths seen anyone carrying that child it must have been Gerry himself. I do believe Ironside is correct in saying that she agreed to create the Bundleman sighting because Gerry realised he had been spotted. I do not believe her account on Panorama was an attempt to just save herself I believe it was also done for the benefit of the McCanns. I believe the refusal of OB to take part in this shows this couple are pulling in different directions. Jane has been persuaded by the McCanns it was better to stick her story out. More intelligent OB realises it is better to just keep his mouth shut.
The account given of how the Smiths contacted the PJ and were then approached by Leics police and then flew to PDL sounds credible to me on balance. This means they are genuine prosecution witnesses. The only so called witnesses the McCanns and the REtardos can interfere with are those who are not genuine witnesses like Granny Cooper. Hence there has been no comment from Clarence or inteference or press spin from their camp. The McCanns and Clarence know if they seek to interfere with genuine prosecution witnesses they are in major trouble. This is why the only ones we hear from on their side are ...ludicrous!

The Portuguese have not been privvy to the damning FSS information which the British Police decided to release via BBC on 7 September. Alsabella has said this was probably due to PJ's laws of secrecy.

We do not know the validity of this apparent poll in Portugal or who instigated it do we?
In any event, it really does not matter what ordinary folk in Portugal think, but almost 40% think the McCanns are guilty i.e. the biggest proportion of those that expressed an opinion with some 30 being undecided and some 30 odd believing they may be innocent. I think it really is a measure of just how desperate the McCanns are that they want to focus on this as a "positive". In relation to the DE publishing this - it is bland and does not go to the heart of the criminal case against the McCanns. An indication perhaps the Daily Express had been reduced to merely reporting insignificant spin. I read several months ago that to the McCanns the battle for public opinion was a very important one as some of those members of the public may finish up on a jury, judging them. Having a jury in Portugal is highly unusual, I understand, but possible. NO doubt McCann lawyers will be bleating and wailing about their human rights to be judged by ordinary members of the public. Perhaps we can therefore see the point of all this from the McCanns point of view in terms of the their longer terms plans, knowing full they are going on trial.

I don't think it was to do with the article - this probably will be in tomorrows hard copy of the Express. What frightened them was if they publish an article on their online edition it allows people to HYS and post comments. Fortunately for them it must have only been online for 5 or so minutes before they realised their mistake. Wizard
The Retardos hunt for witnesses of dodgy characters hanging around apartment 5a has been like some pathetic witchunt. Here is an extract from a DM article where a previous cccupier complains how suspicious a charity collector was. What I did find significant was sources claiming he had been interviewed not just by the Retardos but "Scotland Yard Detectives". Now was this just a tad innacurate - was this actually meant to say "former Scotland Yard Detective now Hogan". Which brings up the issue of just how long has this man been investigating in the UK and how much is this costing, and why have his costs, also presumably from te fund, never been mentioned. We know that a lot of people have been contacted in the UK e.g. granny smith and that was not the REtardos was it? Who compiled the list of 25 witnesses back in Sept/Oct that the McCanns then lawyers Caplan was demanding the PJ interviewed. Why has Caplan bowed out - is it his fees of £700 could no longer be met (where did Branson go) or is it that there was too much of a smell around the McCanns and their detectives to keep his reputation intact?
Mr Gordon was interviewed by Scotland Yard detectives and Metodo 3, and was asked if he believed the charity collector could have been trying to target his own children, aged one and two.
He said his family rented the Ocean Club flat in Praia da Luz for a fortnight last April, and left only hours before the McCanns arrived on April 28.
Mr Gordon, a sales executive for Scottish and Newcastle Breweries, yesterday refused to comment about his statement to the police.
Speaking outside his house in Fareham, Hampshire, he said: "I've given a statement and want it to remain private. I hope the information may help in the search for Madeleine."
McCann family spokesman Clarence Mitchell denied claims that Mr Gordon had warned Mr and Mrs McCann, both 39, about the sighting.
He said: "Mr Gordon has spoken to the police about his time in the apartment and our investigative team has also spoken with him.
"He said somebody came round to the apartment 5A asking for a charity donation and said it was suspicious. Gerry and Kate have never met Mr Gordon himself."
Mr Gordon is the latest in a series of witnesses who have come forward since Madeleine's disappearance to say they saw suspicious characters lurking around the apartment.

The pro's look at it as if it's a proof that the parents have "less" to do with the case.
I have a different view.
10 Months later the majority still thinks that the Pj is doing a great job and that the parents have something to tell about Madeleine's disappearance.

Madeleine McCann's parents were said to be "encouraged" after a survey suggested public opinion in Portugal was shifting in their favour.
The Correio da Manha poll found that 38.6% of those questioned still believe Kate and Gerry McCann were involved in their daughter's disappearance in the Algarve.
On the other hand, 30.7% thought the couple, from Rothley, in Leicestershire, were completely innocent.
This compares to an earlier poll run by the Portuguese newspaper in which 39.9% of people interviewed thought the couple were guilty and 26.8% believed they were not to blame.
It is a small change but the McCanns, still official suspects in the police investigation, believe the tide could be turning for them after 10 months of speculation and accusations.
Their spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, said: "It's encouraging to see that public opinion is shifting in Kate and Gerry's favour.
"People are right to believe that Kate and Gerry had nothing to do with their daughter's disappearance and are right to be sceptical of some of the coverage in recent months."
The poll came as the McCanns' private detectives were investigating another lead in their search for the little girl.
A British couple reportedly spotted a "package" being put onto a jet ski on a beach close to where Madeleine went missing in Praia da Luz.
Mr Mitchell said: "Detective agency Metodo 3 are looking at it and endeavouring to get to the bottom of it. The timing is potentially significant as is the placing."

I don't really have anything much to say about being "encouraged" if almost 40% of the populace thought I was guilty of a major international crime; but anyway, I thought I would Have My Say here before the DX banished the forum into oblivion again.

I am still very angry at the Prince harry caper. News blackout? Who was kidding whom? We are talking international news. It's beside the point that the Taliban well knew that Harry was in Afghanistan, and if he had not left after his 10 day tour, they'd have got him. In all likelihood, they'd have beheaded him and sent a video of it around the world. But it wouldn 't have been mentioned in the Daily Express - on command.
It wasn't so long ago that instead oif news on Madeleine we had screaming headlines: Prince Philip and the Nazis. Now it would seem that the Daily Express has had to make amends and possibly has been pressured to have headlines: Harry and his war, in his words, hero back home from the war front, with his medal. The Daily Express neglected to mention that this hero who wanted to be one of the lads was accompanied by a 3-man SAS bodyguard and surrounded by those wonderful Gurkhas. Not exactly your usual deployment for one of the British soldiers. That only got a mention when the entire world press was talking about it.
A PR stunt for the MOD and a spoiled brat who described dropping bombs as "not very nice." And this with a soldier minus and arm and a leg lying a few feet from him. He obviously knows nothing about the London Blitz during World War I. Not very nice either.
I am disgusted with the British press. Give me Matt Drudge any day. He calls a spade a spade and doesn't pull his punches on international news. I'm glad he outed this PR stunt over Harry. He should take a look at Clarence Mitchell and this circus over Madeleine.

I don't think that a 9% "swing" is anything to brag about, either. Not after all the spin; money; stunts; gags; threats to sue; enforced forum closures; press manipulation, and fancy lawyers. In fact I think it is a terrible result. And proves (if any further proof were indeed required) that Clarence is not worth the money. If I were BK I would seriously be having second thoughts.

About the poll and articles about it and Clara: I think it is a smoke screen before or as PJ come.

The poll itself is rather limited, I would not even publish it, but CM did - they must have a specific target in mind.
Smith's sighting: could be significant as it appears that the whole family was present: him, his wife and grown up children, going from the pub. I am sure PJ got the story in full, as they mentioned the possible request for T9 return (or only parents) for identification procedure.
