In your dreams lady. I will continue to write on my blog whatever and whenever I choose. I think you should be aware it is a criminal offience to publish racial hatred as you have on many occasions so perhaps it is you who may have something to fear. I have records of this and also your offensive harassment of me and others. This is an offence under the criminal law also - Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and a lady had just been imprisoned for repeatedly harassing someone in this way on an internet blog. So, I suggest you look to your own behaviour before seeking to threaten those acting lawfully as I am.
It is not unlawful to discuss this case. I will continue to exercise my right to free speech in lobbying via my blog for the McCanns to face prosecution for what they have done to their little girl. The more blogs and protests there are, the stronger that message becomes. I am therefore a voice among millions seeking to do what I feel is my duty as a decent caring person to protect children. I want the McCanns lawfully and properly dealt with for what they have done. I do not support certain people on the Mirror Forum who call for them to be hung, drawn etc. That is disgusting and unlawful in my view and brings them down to your sort of level.

That threat from CM is laughable. Do they really think that will shut people up? Can't they see that it just makes them look even worse? What kind of parents are worried about internet foruns, when they have a child missing? Before the tragedy, eating was more important than caring for their children. After the tragedy, shutting people up is more important than finding what happened to their daughter (since they claim they don't know). Who are these people? And where the hell do they come from?
Hi Viv. I'm back from being taken advantage of :-) This gentleman, if I can call him that, needs a swift kick up the jacksy if you ask me. My eldest son has a friend who might even give Ricky Hatton a go (GO RICKY, MURDER THAT ARROGANT GANGSTER). Bring Clara here and this lad will give him a face that looks like a thick base pizza with ALL the toppings. What a vile man.

That was a quick response - how lovely to hear from you again. A friend has emailed me the quotes atttributed to Clarence.
His behaviour becomes increasingly more obsessive and unprofessional. Whenever a person is seeking to professionally represent another it is very important to maintain barriers so that a professional, rather than a personal relatioship is maintained. He has seriously crossed that line. I note he stated "we" have not decided what our plans are for christmas. If he wanted to retain his professional integrity as a journalist and PR spokesman then he should not have allowed himself to become so personally and emotionally involved. It inevitably raises questions as to why he has, in spite of all his experience and training. Does he have some involvement in their fraudulent activities or is his degree of involvement more serious still? He has left himself wide open to this sort of enquiry.
His comments suggest someone on a very personal and bitter crusade against his attackers. Is this his own wounded pride in behaving in such an unprofessional way that he has actually caused considerable harm to the McCanns by his conduct of matters. He reminds me of what our courts call a vexatious litigant - someone so obsessed with their self-righteous but misguided cause they will keep on suing or threatening to sue everyone who they perceive as an enemy. In the process they obviously alienate many people and the courts in the end make an order against them to stop suing. Clarence Mitchell has allowed himself to be reduced to this level and ruined his future career prospects in my view. What businessman is going to want to employ someone who just cannot keep his rage, frustration and emotions under control?
There has always been an obsession in Team McCann in damage limitation and moderating public opinion. This was a disastrous plot hatched by Clarence Mitchell. No reasonable member of the public can be persuaded that they were ever actually motivated by a wish to find Madeleine. WE all see Clarence's media campaign for what it was, and having failed so miserably, we now see his rage and frustration.

The National Union of Journalists have censured the spokesman for the parents of missing toddler Madeleine McCann over his threat to 'shut down' various internet bulletin boards where the case is discussed.
Last night senior NUJ members sat down and passed a motion calling for the body to expel former BBC journalist Clarence Mitchell for 'traducing' the union's founding principles on 'freedom of speech.'
It follows a wide-ranging interview in yesterday's Leicester Mercury in which he stated his intention to 'shut down, close, put of business - whatever - these vicious and irresponsible arenas of cruel conjecture and innuendo.'
Later, in an interview on the BBC's 5live, he went further, promising to obtain the IP addresses of 'every crank and wannabe sleuth who have contributed to these ludicrous discussion groups.'
It is this last statement which has so outraged members of the civil rights group Liberty, who say they will lobby the government strongly to stop this happening.
When contacted last night, Mitchell told this reporter he would not be deterred by this or his expected expulsion from the NUJ.
He also claimed that he was not targeting all internet fora where the case was discussed but specifically the message board of what he described as 'a low brow red top.'
It is believed this refers to the website of the Daily Mirror.
He went on: 'I intend to hunt down and sue every last one of them, I will make it my life's work if I have to, but I will make examples of these people. Of that you can be certain.'
This is not the first time this particular forum has hit the headlines.

Of course not - his increasingly strident comments and behaviour do that! I think he will have to tap Mr Al Fayed up to fund the millions of lawsuits he apparently plans and somehow I can just imagine what Mr Al Fayed would tell him! If the comments attributed to him are correct he sounds on the verge of a nervous breakdown! Poor chap! Eight months at close quarters with Kate and Gerry would probably not have done me any good...

I was telling our dear Claudia earlier that if one thinks that monsters like Hitler, Stalin, Pinochet, Franco, Salzar, etc.....are dead, they are not! I continue to believe democracy is the ultimate achievement of Europe and the free world...but it is also a very fragile system. It is our duty to protect freedom, any freedom, by all our means.
Viv, believe me, I know very precisely what censorship and family in politcal jails mean: Salazar times were horrible times.
Today, through debating freedom of speech, I have been thinking about anti-fascist Portuguese poets.

Clarence is a joke. He will go down in history as the media bafoon of 2007 as far as I am concerned. In the democratic world to threaten people simply because they do not agree with his view or defend neglectors is utterly shameful. I think that British parents should take his advice and sue him. For telling us in Portugal that it is normal for the British to go out and leave their children alone!

Oh and I was not banned. I was away on business but actually did make one or two posts during that time. I do not know why my profile apparently says I am banned. I continue to post regularly! LOOL

My leg is getting better every day now - I am able to walk up and down the stairs instead of crawl which is great and nip down to see me parrot a bit more god bless him he is very clingy now because i have been upstairs pretty much for weeks.
Claudia - love her to bits - compassion, humour, patience in the face of extreme adversity - all three of you seem to cope with it so well and notice below lovely Alsabella here as well - bless her - she has carefully informed and advised and been such an excellant diplomat. It is embarrassing that of all the races on the forum the only one that demonstrates such downright nastiness are Brits who closely ally themselves with Kate and Gerry McCann - just those two alone are more than enough to get us a dirty name thanks!
I entirely agree given past world history we must cling very dearly to democracy and freedom. How nice it could have been on the DE if these people had just politely argued their case for K&G instead of using every foul trick in the book to get rid of us, insult us and shut us up. They do not even understand what democracy or racism means and do not want to know!
